Chapter 10

Ami scraped the top of her head slowly before turning to the back of the sofa and yawned, still with her eyes closed. When she hears the paper was turning over, Ami lazily opened her eyelids and blinked. After she had yawning widely once again, Ami was startled to wake up with her lips closed with her palms when she saw Haru sitting casually on the opposite sofa, straightening his feet on the glass table with an automotized magazine in his right hand and a cup of coffee in his left hand.

Ami tidied her hair with her ten fingers and then looked at Haru with scared eyes. "What are you doing here?" asked Ami in a stammer voice as she pulled a thin blanket over her upper body. Haru simply raised one side of his brow and leaned against the sofa's back. His eyes looked down at Ami as she sat sat with a taunting look from top to bottom.

"You're supposed to be asking 'what the hell am I doing here?'" Haru said with a slanted smile.

Ami hit the table in front of her hard and then suddenly rush to her feet and looked up at her in front of Haru, who looked up at her without an expression. "Don't joke, why did you break into my house, huh?" snapped Ami while poking at Haru's face with her index finger.

Haru laugh before rising to his feet and following the pose of Ami. The man then took hold of her index finger and held it firmly before pulling it so rudely that Ami would be almost far into his arms if he could find a small table unblocked. "Look around," he says," and realize that you just made a fool of yourself, in my house."

Ami glared at Haru and kept trying to get her index finger out of the hands of the black-haired, handsome man, but she could not. Holding her eyes menacingly together, Ami quickly straightened her left arm and pulled firmly on Haru's shirt collar.

Haru, who didn't expect Ami to act aggressively, could only open his eyes in fear as his body was violently slammed by the girl until it bounced around where Ami had been asleep.

After doing so, Ami patted her palms together with an arrogant grin. She then looked around and glared instantly at the realization that this place was neither her home nor a familiar place. Suddenly her memory floated in the events before her awakening. Ryu cruelly abandoned her at school by herself, she who walked in swearing left school, Haru suddenly appeared and herself followed the young man, Haru who promised to take her home after he changed his clothes, and she who fell asleep afterward shamefully.

'Daddy, i am ashamed!' thought Ami didn't have the courage to turn around and look for Haru.

Haru grinned triumphantly and then move and whispered from behind Ami's body stiffening with a warm breath of breath on her back. "Oh, no need to be ashamed. I am a nice person. Then let me take you home."

Ami nodded stiffly with her forcefully held head. She walked without turning back toward the door and stood with her ridiculous face in front of the door.

Ah, damn it! Said Ami silently pushed a few buttons on the safety of the door.

Haru smiled widely before moving his face forward until his chin rested on the tops of Ami's petrified head. He then extended his index finger and pressed some buttons that constituted the pass code in his room.

One hundred and eight? That's what? She thought that Ami was looking at the buttons in front of her with her two eyebrows growing confused.

"My birthday," Haru blurted a brief answer to a question in Ami's mind.

Ami turned her body quickly until she stood face to face without distance and looked up at him with confusion.

"Stop doing that!"

"What?" Haru asked.

After striking Haru's head with her palm, Ami let out a growl with a supple of clenched teeth. "Stop reading my mind, or I'll Sue you for illegal possession."

Haru opened the door slowly after flickering his forehead and pushed the girl's shoulders out. "Illegal? What do you mean, little girl?"

"Reading someone's mind is illegal!" snapped Ami and then she fell silent as Haru suddenly fell on her shoulder and leaned closer and dragged her toward the elevator.

They stood shoulder to shoulder in front of the elevator and waited for the door to open. Ami looked up at her head and stared resentfully at Haru that only looked straight ahead with a puffy smile.

Haru decided to take Ami to his motorbike in the basement of the building. The two drove leisurely until finally arriving in front of Ami's workplace.

"Go on!" said Haru pointing at the large building behind Ami standing there with a clumsy smile.

Ami scratched her nape misbehaved and pointed at the double-decker building behind her. Without turning back at all, Ami said with a twinkle in her eyes when sje bite her lower lip was nervous, "Don't you want to stop by?"

Haru laughed so softly that he pointed out the neat rows of his teeth. "I'm not interested in that! What will you feed me if I stop by? You must have just the case you want to hold out on me," Haru said while displaying his enchanting smile. He then ruffled Ami's front hair before turning his motor around and sped away quickly.

"Ami-chan! The commander is calling you to his office!" shouted someone from the office terrace made Ami murmur softly and walk into the building with a yanking step.

Ami held up her chin with a mocking smile on some of the companions she intentionally winked so hard as they passed.

After knocking three times, Ami pushed firmly against the door until it opened. Ami's expression grew indignant when she saw Ryu staring at her with a smirk in front of Commander Akimura.

Ryu waved his hand with a big smile and yelled at Ami. "Go in! Be comfortable. Come sit next to me!"

Ami snorted furiously then turned her face the other way and stood with a red and irritated face next to the Commander's chair.

"Sit down, Ami!" said Commander Akimura lazily pointing out a chair next to Ryu who had smiled only since.

Ami took a narrow step and then dropped her butt on the wheeled chair and dragged her on her feet to the end of the table. She drops her face on the table with its back to Ryu.

"The Commander was better looking than Ryu", Ami's mind stared with a bored face at a large figurine with a picture of Commander Akimura holding a small baby, and Ami's smile shone sweetly knowing who the little one was.

Commander Akimura clears his throat quite loudly and then asks with the supported chin, "How's your case going?"

Ryu rubbed his face in a huff and answered. "There hasn't been any improvement since almost every school citizen has chosen not to speak up."

Ryu then glanced at Ami with his eyes and leaned his back against the back of the chair. "The case is truly confusing. We seem to find no point of light if there are no witnesses or people who are willing to share valuable information with us. He explain to Commander Akimura as he patters his thigh hard and then rises to his feet.

"What if we were to close this case?" asked Commander Akimura while standing against his subordinates and looking at the traffic density of his window.

"No! I will find a piece of information, however small it is," blurted Ami with determination.

Commander Akimura nodded his head with a proud smile.
