Scroll of the Guardians

The scrolls of the guardians—held within was the map of all guardian's locations of their tombs. With the guidance of Prophet Isaias, it would be a possibility to locate them.

Roan returned with the scroll with him and then arrived at the village. Seemingly tired from his travels and duels. With the scroll with him, he immediately approached Isaias who was already waiting for him outside his tent.

"Dear Roan, at last, you've arrived! We don't have time to waste. Lend me the scroll to locate them immediately," Isaias said then moved to walk inside his tent.

Roan followed him inside as he swatted the curtain on the entrance. Inside, he saw numerous scrolls and parchments of papers seemingly not arranged and scattered all over the place. Upon the table, Roan placed the scroll of the guardians and unrolled it.

"The Scroll of Guardians! I am glad to finally have to hold it. I will try to use the divination spell as you wait. I must locate their locations immediately," Isaias then began to use his spell and his eyes glowed in golden radiance.

"Ahah! I almost forgot. The dagger of immortality," he paused.

"And what of it?" Roan was curious about what his next words would be.

"The Dagger of immortality is the key to the Book of Law. The book that would make you ascend to godhood. Maybe another demon god would ascend," Isaias was worried as he said so.

"The Book of Law! So it appeared just recently! I must obtain it!" Roan was full of excitement in his eyes.

"Be careful with what you wished for my child. That book is mysterious and not anyone can ascend to godhood with it. It might break your soul and make you mad if you are careless. That's why not everyone ascended to godhood immediately," Isaias said in a cold voice with a sign of warning.

"But with the dagger of immortality, the lock would be opened and it would be a possibility that its powers could be harnessed," Roan said to him.

"Yes my child, a brilliant answer," Isaias replied.

It was then, the scroll glowed and lines started to float. The locations were revealed and it flashed some imagery of the guardians waiting in their tombs.

Roan saw them all and it was four of them that had felt the presence of the spell of Isaias. One was sitting on his throne, one was standing while held in his hands was a staff of bones. One was sleeping in his tomb and opened his cold eyes as he felt their presence. The last one was outside his tomb on the top of a tower with a scythe held in his hands.

"So it has begun," the one on the tower said to him.

Roan and Isaias felt their brimming aura and cold sweat ran down their faces. It took almost their willpower to just stare at their eyes.

"Such aura, I am weakened for a moment," Roan muttered.

"I see now, they are already waiting for you," Isaias said then turned to face Roan. Roan then gulped his saliva at what he heard.

"There are four tombs that you needed to go to. The Skeleton Elite Summoner is on the east from here. The Skeleton Army Summoner on the north, the Scourge Necromancer on the west, and the Dark Necromancer on the south. Good luck on your journey Roan," Isaias then patted his shoulders.

"I will come back immediately," Roan then grabbed the scroll and saw the glowing dots on the map. With the whole map of the continent that he was staring at.

Roan then prepared to leave. He packed his tent and bedroll inside his backpack and then prepared his rations for the long journey. He was equipped with a shield this time around for extra protection. With it on his off-hand.

Isaias bid him farewell and then also Kerath.

Isaias greets Roan for a job well done for the successful retrieval of the scrolls. Though their work has just started. Isaias then has a grave look at his face.

"I have seen that you are a very hardworking fella and you are successfully fulfilling your missions. With that, I am congratulating you. But! Our problems just started. Seek the tomb of the Guardian of Necromancers and find guidance. We deeply need the Guardian's wisdom on the problems we are facing,"

Isaias then coughed, "Ask Kerath for more information about this. He knew what to do,"

With that, Roan went to Kerath who was already waiting for him.

"Did Isaias talk to you? Good, I have a very important task for you and it is only you who can finish it. Give this badge to the Necromancer Guardian and ask to seek help in these dire times. You might ask for a copy of their skill books so we can learn them one at a time. I have to decipher it first before I can let you learn them," Kerath said to him then he gave him the badge. It was his badge as a necromancer.

"You see, it might help you gain skills in the future. I have to raise our fighting prowess generally. Also, you might have to fight for it. They won't give their skill books to the unworthy," Kerath added.

"I see, well I will try my best," Roan nodded then left.

He went to the north where the Necromancer tomb of one guardian was located.

Moving towards north first where the Army summoner was. What could his fate be when he would meet him?

North was a perilous journey with enemies along the path. He ventured the lonely roads with a torch in his hands. Also, there were tribal imps that were patrolling along the way.

Roan then prepared for battle as the enemies were firing darts at him.

Roan then drew his short sword and a torch in his other hand. He parried several incoming missiles and then dashed toward them. Slashing and smashing them with his torch.

They went to stab him with their daggers but Roan was agile enough to evade them. Blocking with his sword and then kicking them which made them flung the moment his feet smashed their bodies.

Roan then slashed diagonally on one and then a right-rising slash on another. The enemies then scattered after their comrade was killed and fired blow darts at him. They all shouted in gibberish after they attacked.

Roan then grabbed his throwing daggers to retaliate and threw some at them. The daggers then hit them on the forehead and then they all went down to the ground like a limp corpses.

Roan then dashed as he attacked more of them. His torch was held high as he attacked the fray. Even though the darkness was not helping, he has a trusty torch that he could depend on.

Roan then dashed in zig zag and slashed anything along the way. Bathing his sword with the blood of enemies. Blood sprayed all around.

The enemies were then in disarray. They thought that the enemy was a monster and they needed to flee.

But Roan attacked them nonstop. Chasing after the ones that wanted to escape. A hacking of fleeing monsters then spewed forth. Their backs were open and it was their greatest mistake. Culling them like an animal for slaughter. Enemies then lay down on the ground while blood was oozing from their wounds.

Others begged in gibberish but Roan stabbed their chest and ended their lives in the process. Not a hint of hesitation was in his mind in the slightest. He then wiped his sword from the blood that has stained the sword and retrieved his throwing daggers.

Continuing his path. He saw the tomb of the first guardian he would face. It was a tall crypt with a door on the bottom. A wall made of cement and was aged with time.

Red banners were seen fluttering on the side due to the wind blowing with a ripped tip of its fabric. He approached the door and then knocked. The door then opened as Roan touched it then a voice was heard from the inside.

"Come in necromancer!"
