Rank of Strength and Dungeon
"I home"
While Luke is reading, he heard his sister voice entering the house. He looks up to find Lily already in front of him with a smirk.
"Welcome home sister" Luke said with stiff smile.
His sister already used to his dead face pick him up and put him on her lap.
*Sniff**Sniff* "haaah, Luke smell after back home is the best~"
Lily sniffing his hair already became a routine for her. It was started as a joke but after a week doing that she became addicted and start to sniffing him if she got chance.
After that,Lily began to tell him her today experience for training. Luke hear all her story and began to think how to increase her strength. From what his mother tell him, in this world there are two way to become stronger.
First one is knight way. Knight increase their strength, agility, and endurance to become stronger. A strong knight can fight a dragon or split the mountain. It was the most people choice and was a way that Lily and Baroness Sarah took. But the flaw is that it was a slow process. Baroness Sarah reach the rank of Master warrior at the age of 17 was considered as a genius and thanks to fighting all the monsters when she still an adventure. The rank for the knight is Novice→ Warrior→ Elite→ Master→ Grandmaster → King(Legendary)→ Saint.
The second way is magister way. They focus on mana and knowledge. Some of them can cast a spell that can destroy the kingdom if used. They focusing to increase their speed for casting spell or research for new spell. That why only people who literate or smart can become a magister since it need a lot of brain power to process the spell.
The magister also have the defect that is their frail body. As long someone get close to them they easily get defeated. That why they wearing many defensive clothes and charms to protect themselves. That makes the magister way called the golden way as it literally use gold for them. So most magister will take a side job like Lufia that take Alchemist as a job to sell potions. Rank for magister is apprentice→ magister→ Elite→ Master→ Grandmaster→ King(Legendary) → Sage.
There are also people who take both ways but only small amount of them. This was because of very slow progress and they are at disadvantage at early stage. Even they can surpass most of people at the late stage, it was few of them that can reach late stage.
As Lily continue to talk while Luke listening, Lufia come out from her brewing room and found them together. She smiled and sneak behind them before grab Luke from Lily lap.
"Ahh!? Mom!! Luke is sitting with me... You already have him at night so this time is my turn to play with him."
"No way~ Luke is mine and he like to be with me right Luke~"
*Sigh* Luke only sighed looking at mother and daughter fight for him. However he was happy for them as when he saw them at first, they're rarely talk to each other.
After a while of fighting and hugging, Lufia go to the kitchen to prepare the lunch followed by Lily. After done having lunch, they heard someone knocking the door followed by a voice.
"Lufia, it's me, there are something I want to talk"
Lufia then greet the visitor and bring her to living room. The visitor is Baroness Sarah and she quite often come here to discuss with Lufia about the village. We can say that Lufia is Sarah's adviser for managing the village as Baroness Sarah don't have talent about managing the territory. Easy to say is she was a muscle brain that like to fight with pure strength.
"What's it Sarah? Don't tell me that you found anything amazing on your patrol? Fufu"
Lufia asked jokingly trying to soothe the situation as her friend was rarely getting serious. And now Sarah face became awkward when hear Lufia question but still silent.
"Wait, did I hit the nail?? What actually you found?"
Lufia was taken aback with her silent and also getting serious.
"I found a dungeon... To be specific goblin type dungeon. It has a ten floor and a boss in fifth and tenth floor. The strongest is hobgoblin shaman at tenth floor.
Luke quite understand a little about dungeon but limited to the book read in previous life so he ask Lily about it. A dungeon was a place that contains to much mana in a point it gives birth to something called dungeon core. Like all dungeon that he heard, it can produce a stable rate of monsters that when reach the limit the monsters will comes out from the dungeon. This phenomenon is called dungeon break. So dungeon must to be cleaned regularly or destroy the dungeon core if you want to stop the monsters from continue to spawn. The Dungeon rank is decided from the monsters that spawn in it. The rank is in range from H to S rank. This dungeon that Sarah found was F rank.
Sarah might already cleared up the dungeon as she know what is inside but she seems still worried. So Luke just listening in silence to understand the circumstances.
Although the dungeon sounds like a bad news however it's also a great news. The monsters inside the dungeon have mana stone inside of them and that can be sold. If the the edible monsters are spawn, the value of the dungeon will take a leap since the meat also can be sold. The dungeon also produces some equipment like armour or a weapon once in a while. That mean that the dungeon make some place have a stable income from it.
Since the dungeon can make a stable income, every noble also targeting to get a dungeon even a low rank. That mean the news that Baroness Sarah found a dungeon will be spread and reached to the greedy noble. Now Lufia was thinking about countermeasures to this situation.
