Large oppressive eyes, protruding nose, ears of an elephant, diamond-shaped scales, harder and tougher than moonstone, a luscious mane dripping water and whiskers, thick and long, akin to fleshly tendrils.

It also had a long serpentine body with short limbs, was adorned with curved claws, and was able to inflict great damage on whatever it attacked.

This was the perfect description of the desolate beast before him.

A descendant of the True Dragons and the ruler of this lake—a flood dragon!

Li Chen lifted his head and gazed into the flood dragon's large eyeballs. A feeble sense of peace reigned yet Li Chen's muscles tensed up.

He could already imagine this beast gulping him whole should he drop his guard. 

'This is the second time!' He bellowed inwardly. 

'Is it going to move or just stay there?' Li Chen asked himself while staring at the large beast.

Time trickled by and Li Chen knew he was running out of patience.
