He grabbed his backpack from under the couch and headed towards the door with Victor following close behind. It was an unusual sight, as Yuuri was usually reluctant to spend time with Victor, but tonight, he was excited. He'd never been happier to see Victor, which puzzled Victor. It was as though nothing had happened between them, but that couldn't be true. After all, Victor was so upset and hurt when he first met Yuuri. Yuuri's smile didn't fade, though, as they walked home together. The rain was starting to slow down, and it soon stopped altogether. Soon, the sky was completely clear, and the moon shone brightly. There was no cloud in the entire sky, but that was fine with Yuuri because he liked the way the moonlight illuminated the sky. Victor watched as Yuuri walked beside him, admiring how beautiful he was. He knew Yuuri would be happy if he saw how pretty he was, because Victor had taken a great deal of pride in his appearance ever since he first saw Yuuri skate.

The two sat outside Victor's house waiting for his parents to come home. Eventually, a car pulled into the driveway and parked in front of the garage, revealing Makkachin jumping out. He ran right up to the door and started barking loudly, wanting entry as soon as possible. Victor opened the door and let the dog inside. They quickly went to the living room, where Victor's father sat on one end of the sofa and Yuri Plisetsky was on another, while Mari lay across the coffee table with Makkachin in her lap. Victor joined her, resting his head against her side and closing his eyes.

"How was school today, sweetheart?" Mari asked.

Victor shrugged.

"Fine".

They were silent for a few minutes, enjoying their quiet moment. Victor heard a sound, and looked up just in time to see Yuuri walk into his house.

"Is this guy yours too?" Yuuri asked, smiling.

Mari nodded.

"His name's Makkachin! Isn't he awesome?!" she exclaimed.

"Yeah, he sure is". Yuuri chuckled lightly as Makkachin jumped onto his lap and began licking his face happily. Yuuri laughed again and leaned back slightly.

"Hey, why don't we get dinner ready? We can play monopoly after".

Yuuri grinned.

"Of course!".

Later that night, Victor and Yuuri decided to play monopoly. It wasn't like it had been the first time they'd ever played it together, but they had rarely gone through the whole process, because neither of them had much money. Usually, they'd play online, though, since Victor was really good at it. Victor and Mari had a nice evening playing monopoly together, until eventually Yuuri had enough and declared that he had won. The pair of them ended up laughing for the rest of their game, though neither of them seemed particularly affected by losing. Neither one could imagine how horrible losing meant, but they were used to it by now. As the night progressed, they played until almost midnight. Then, Victor and Mari decided to call it quits. Victor was pretty beat, and he could feel himself drifting off to sleep as Yuuri continued to stay awake.

"I'm gonna head home".

Mari nodded.

"Alright, honey".

Victor and Yuuri waved goodbye to each other, and Yuuri got into his car while Victor walked back to his own. By the time he finally got to his room and crawled back into bed, it was well past 1am and he was completely exhausted. Despite that, however, he couldn't sleep at all that night. In fact, he didn't even manage to get some shut eye before waking up in the morning. The weather was absolutely miserable, so he didn't bother going anywhere to get a cup of coffee before heading to school. He simply got dressed and went down the stairs, hoping no one was awake. That was until he passed his mother'
