Nami Versus Rear Admiral Part 2

Seeing the flying slash, Nami clenched her hand on the Weather Stick and groaned. She quickly swung her Weather Stick and clashed against the Sword Energy.

Bang!

Her eyes were closed when they collided but the next moment, she opened her eyes in shock.

Not only her Weather Stick didn't break but she had successfully blocked the sword's energy. She stared at her Weather Stick and remembered something.

'Nami, this is your new Weather Stick. Unlike the previous one, it is made with sea stone so it is extremely sturdy.'

'Usopp managed to make it as light as possible but it should definitely be strong enough to block the attack that doesn't use Haki.'

She clenched her Weather Stick and a smile appeared on her face.

'Then, I can definitely continue to fight.'

"You block it? No, it won't be the same."

Akehende jaw almost dropped to the ground. But, he quickly regained his confidence and rushed toward her with the sword in his hand.

He swung his sword heavily but Nami pressed a button and increased the size of her Weather Stick.

Bang!

Two weapons collided and despite its sharpness, the sword wasn't able to cut the Weather Stick.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After the first strike, Akehende continued to charge forward with several strikes from several directions.

But, Nami was surprisingly able to keep up with him. Each time he struck, Nami would strike back with equal if not greater force.

'Damn it! If this goes on, I will get tired. Why is her strength so great? Isn't she just a girl?'

Akehende gritted his teeth and tried to put more strength into his strikes but none of his attacks even landed on Nami's body.

But, it didn't mean she wasn't getting tired. Unlike Akehende who had greater stamina and endurance, she was feeling quite tired after every block.

Just when she was ready to back down for a few seconds to take a breather, her Weather Stick trembled slightly.

With a powerful stomp on the ground, she retreated several meters and swung her Weather Stick.

"Where do you think you are running? I will take you down in the name of Justice." Akehende roared and clenched his sword with both of his hands, trying to release his most powerful attack.

"Rear Admiral, you didn't get notice about today's weather, did you? Today's weather is going to heavy lightning."

As she said that, she pulled down her Weather Strike it pulled down a massive yellow lightning from the sky.

[Thunder Strike]

The lightning fell but Akehende was also a powerful marine. He quickly raised his sword and slashed toward the sky.

A flying slash that was twice as big as before flew toward the sky and struck the lightning bolt. But when it did, the lightning bolt simply destroyed it.

As his entire life flashed before his eyes, that massive bolt of lightning struck his body.

It was so powerful that his entire body got burned. His skin was charred and his hair was burnt.

"Argh!"

With a slight groan, he fell to the ground unconscious.

"I won" Nami showed her white teeth with a big smile on her face and raised her Weather Stick.

She won this battle. Not only did she win, but she won without getting any injuries. Though she didn't hesitate to fall on her knees and pant.

"Damn! I never thought I was so strong. Oh no, I need to help Chopper."

At this moment, Merry's voice rang in the mic and through the Transponder Snail all over the world.

"In the battle between Nami of the Straw Hat Pirates and Rear Admire Akehende, the victory belongs to..."

"Nami"

During the battle between Aokiji and Liam,

Liam suddenly stopped when he heard that voice and a corner of his mouth rose.

"Nami, you did it."

He was genuinely happy for Nami. The fact that she finished her battle first means she didn't try to hide and run away as usual.

Instead, she did her best to fight with all of her strength and she proved that she could also fight for her own.

Although she didn't manage to awaken Haki before this, now she can because she has what it takes to awaken Haki.

Simply because all that she lacked before was Willpower. Now, she had all the Willpower she needed to awaken her Haki.

"It seems like something is going on between you and your Navigator. Congratulation!" Aokiji chuckled as he condensed a sharp sword made of ice in his hand and charged forward.

"You guy, how can you attack after saying congratulations." Although Liam spoke with dissatisfaction, he didn't back down.

With his armament-coated fist, he slammed forward and clashed against Aokiji.

"Huh! Hooo! I need to quickly find Chopper. This battle is too chaotic. Fortunately, Liam was thoughtful enough to make a separate fleet otherwise these marines would've caused quite a lot of trouble."

Nami muttered while looking around. Pirates and Marines were clashing against each other.

Those frozen marines and pirates were unfrozen by Aokiji so they could continue fighting.

While running, she raised her hand and looked fist.

"I am not sure if it was Haki but I sensed a strange energy flowing through my body when I clashed against that marine."

"Liam said that I only lack the Willpower to awaken Haki. With my current strength, I already surpass Rear Admiral so it makes sense for me to awaken Haki especially since Liam's training is for us to awaken Haki."

"But, I can only feel it. It might have something to do with my heightened senses."

She clenched her fist and lowered her head.

"After this battle, I must master Haki. This time I didn't fight for someone else or for money. It was for myself. Sure enough! The only thing holding me back was Fear."

"I must conquer this fear and awaken Haki. The next time, our Straw Hat Pirates might face a greater threat. I must be able to fight or at least stalemate a Vice Admiral."

Nami took a deep breath and didn't realize that her Willpower was slowly awakening Haki inside her body.

When she reached the battle between Chopper and the rear admiral, her eyes widened.
