I was left to myself contemplating in this never ending plane of darkness. I did not know how much time had passed in this place but remembering the fact that here I was your average everyday teenager that was out in the bazaar to get groceries and was on his way back but destiny had other plans for me in her mind. As I was making my way back I was run over by the famous truck-kun!
Rayhan: Well that was an anticlimactic end to my life.

As I was left grappling with my inner turmoil the never ending plane of darkness seemed to be illuminated with blinding light and I lost my consciousness. again.

Groggily waking up I was confused by the sudden brightness of everything as if my vision went from 1080p to 4K resolution.
Rayhan: Urgh it's as if somebody turned my vision from dark mode to light mode. The sunlight coming from the window isn't helping.
As I sat up in the bed I tried to take in the unfamiliar room and surroundings. It was a humble room with a single bed, a study bench and wardrobe and a mirror beside it also a decent looking PC setup.
Rayhan: So THIS is what transmigrating to another world feels like a novel feeling indeed.
Curious if I looked different from before or the same, I quickly got out of bed and made my way to the mirror beside the wardrobe.
As I was standing before the mirror I was greeted by the sight of an unfamiliar face of a teenager who looked to be about 16 or 17 with raven black hair and Golden eyes.
Rayhan: Oh! I look pretty good.
Satisfying my curiosity about my current looks, I made my way to the computer and turned it on to search for information about the place I was currently in.
As I was browsing through the internet I found that the place I was currently residing in is the Bo City! And there is actually magic existing in this world. And the only way to awaken magic was possible only after one has joined a magic oriented high school not that I know if there were other ways to awaken it.
While I was looking at the information about the magic I found a folder with the information of this body whose name was Long Aotian who currently is an orphan as his parents died because of a magical beasts attack while outside of the city on a trip.
Rayhan: Dodged a bullet right there as convenient as having a family would be it's better for me this way more freedom and most of the time families become a burden for the protagonists especially in an dangerous world like this with powerful magicians and magical beasts roaming about.
Rayhan: Now that my identity problem is solved I have no qualms on taking on a new name. The past is in the past like even if I want to I couldn't reverse anything.
Time to accept this new identity and achieve inner peace! no future dramas about identity.
Long Aotian: Does this mean I'm actually a young master now? nah im not from an influential family so nope I'll leave this thought at the back of my mind for now.
After a few dozen more minutes of browsing the internet I have come to the realization that this is actually a fictional work I had read before called Versatile Mage.
Damm isn't this world kinda post apocalyptic i am so fu*ked if i don't have any cheats.

Inclining on the chair while thinking about this world that I thought was fictional is now a real world where I live.
Amidst the swirling cacophony of my thoughts I noticed a mobile phone on the charging port. I swiftly pulled off the charging port and held the phone in my hands, surprised.

Turning it on, I saw an enormous amount of notifications on the lock screen. As I cleared them all I saw that the lock screen wallpaper was the same too.

Sighing in relief, I used my fingerprint to open the phone as I looked at the front of my phone. Everything looked almost exactly the same as my previous phone.
First i tried to see if i could access any bank account from this phone made if not except this house i am truly broke. To my relief there actually was.
And it actually had About 80 million yuan which if converted to USD would be somewhat more than 1 million USD.
Long Aotian: Thank god there money for me to live off until the Bo City calamity and get myself enrolled into pearl university and by then i wouldn't be burdened by any money problems.

I went to the email box app and check what the new message was about.

In the email it said I was accepted at the institution and that the opening ceremony is exactly tomorrow.

One more thing to check before exploring the house so the map function basically works like this it doesn't show me all the places on the planet but only the places I've been to the places i have not been to will stay as fog covers that part of the map and i can only see the dots of what i assume is living organisms such as humans as green dots and yellow dots for the overgrown rats in the sewer so i can if the dot is red then like most games the living or dead organism should be hostile well that basically sums up the uses of the map function.
After a few more minutes of looking through the system and its functions I finally decided to check my current abode.

Long Aotian: The house is quite decently humble with 2 bedrooms 1 kitchen room 1 bathroom 1 living room and a basement and the place is in good shape too it even has a backyard.
Long Aotian: But now I'm faced with the problem of food...I have no idea how to cook anything... Back then it was my mom who cooked and hand fed me. I should opt to getting delivery takeouts for now. There is already a decent amount of Ingredients in which should be able to let me acquire the cooking skill.
Long Aotian: I won't really have a clothes problem anytime soon. I also found my highschool uniform in the wardrobe which was a relief.
As I made my way to the living room couch I noticed a photo of a 10 or years old boy standing with a middle aged couple.
Long Aotian: Should be the previous guy and his family. I hope he is happy to be reunited with his family in heaven if it exists that is.
I took my seat on the couch in the living room and turned on the TV to see the current news of this world so I could perhaps know the current state of the world.
After some time of watching the news I was bored and feeling slightly hungry so I turned to my phone and searched for any good food delivery where I can order some food.
After giving the food order I suddenly realized something.
Long Aotian: Oh yeah almost forgot about the daily quest time to start the grind for those 3 juicy stat points and status recovery.
And with that I quickly found a nice spot in the backyards, wore the airpods and started the grind while listening to some workout music.

Well that was a good workout even though im kinda sweaty now and should probably take a bath to freshen up but before that time to check in to my daily quest rewards!

After taking a bath I decided to go to the kitchen to try and cook while watching some cooking videos so I could acquire the cooking skill.
Long Aotian: well here goes nothing.
With newfound determination I started watching videos and cooking some simple dishes.

To say disastrous was an understatement since the first hour of trying to cook, though by an hour I had finally acquired my first cooking skill!
And after another grueling hour of grinding the cooking skill and absolutely making a mess out of the once clean and neat kitchen I was finally able to make an edible omelet...
Long Aotian: I really have no talent for cooking if I didn't have a gamer system with me helping me grind. I'd probably be cooking up biohazards by now.
Sighing wearily and mentally tired, I somewhat cleaned the messy kitchen and walked to the dining table where some ordered food was neatly placed upon to eat some food before heading back to the bed.

After eating some delivery food for dinner left towards my room in a annoyed mood reaching my room i turned off the lights and didn't forget to put an alarm since i was supposed to go to Tian Lan Magic Highschool tomorrow i couldn't deny i was excited to learn more about magic in this new world because which person doesen't want to learn and do magic spells.
