Chapter 27: Protective

I feel like something out of a thriller movie. I took the past couple of days off from work, loaded myself up with as much silver and holy water as I could, and took every opportunity when we weren’t moving or investigating to nap.

I still couldn’t believe that Nathaniel and I were working so closely together or that I said what I did that night. It was hard to believe it was only two days ago when the last victim was found.

I rub my temple in hopes it will clear my thoughts. I did not want to think about it right now though. What I want to focus on is where those murdering vampires are.

I lay my hands on the map Nathaniel and I were working on in the office. Thankfully, I managed to bring the map with me without the Chief saying anything. I scan over the pins, looking for some kind of pattern or clue. Nathaniel is doing the same.
