That One Transferee

It was a fresh start for Zorel. Senior High School was one of the most fun and enjoyable year in High School, as people say. Maybe she might have found it like that too. This time Zorel just wanted to be herself. She just wants to make and be a better friend than she could ever be. And smile genuinely at this journey in her life. Aisha was expecting this year, as it would mean new students at her school. It's no surprise or shock that most students from other schools transfer during Senior years to their school. After all, often serious students do so, as they want to enter a better college. Or, as Aisha tends to joke, "Brag about being in Juleston High School." Juleston High School may be a public school, but it is regarded with high views. Almost like that of a private school. And Aisha can't wait to meet those students who will change and walk along this journey of life of hers. She didn't expect it to turn her life upside down, even in her wildest dreams as a certain weird and funny transferee sat beside the window. Who happens to be her seatmate. "You seem to be the quiet type of person in the crowd," Aisha looks to her right. She meets the light brown eyes of the person beside her. The said girl's shoulder raised in a shrug. "I think that the mouth sometimes deceives, and the action talks. Don't you think so?" The girl gave Aisha a soft smile that contradicted her aloof look from the start of seeing her. Aisha raised an eyebrow at the mysterious girl's answer. "You just up your mystery points by 2 points to me." Aisha started to lean in and squinted her eyes at the now squirming girl. "You're too close." Aisha waved off the girl's comment. She lifted her index finger and poked it at the girl's forehead. "That head - I want to know how it works. It's intriguing for me anyway. And you'll be my seatmate for two years." She smiled cheekily at the unknown girl went back to her chair as the teacher came in. "I'm going to figure you out." She whispered, throwing a crumpled paper that Aisha made from the previous class. The paper ball hit Zorel's nose as she was still facing the girl. The weird encounter with the girl beside her finally sinking in, she laughed loudly enough for the whole backbenchers to hear. Zorel smiled softly at the weird girl, already having a soft spot for her. "Yeah, sure. Do figure me out, Miss Rabbit stickers," Zorel heard a loud whisper of hey she gave the girl a smirk and continued. "You've got yourself two years Lil' Rabbit." Zorel smiles softly, without a trace of her snarky smiles. Her smile maybe is the same, but her eyes tell something else. Aisha noticed it and couldn't quite look away. Staring at the now occupied girl, she could not look away. Two years. She has two years to get to know this mystery of a person, and she fucking will make her life here enjoyable.
