As soon as Madara emerged from the ROOT base, Black Zetsu emerged from the ground and positioned itself next to him. With a curious tone, Black Zetsu inquired, "Madara-sama, can we consider someone like Danzo to be trustworthy?"

"Indeed, a person consumed by hatred is capable of any action," responded Madara Uchiha. "In a sense, I am suggesting the eradication of threats to Konoha, and someone like Danzo, who is the most prominent hawk within the village, can only be utilized for such purposes."

"And following this incident, the news of Kushina's kidnapping should be disseminated throughout Konoha to instigate conflict. This world has remained in peace for far too long," Madara continued.

"Yes, Madara-sama," responded Black Zetsu.

"Let us go. It appears that the old woman has detected my chakra," said Madara.

After uttering those words, Madara's body underwent a transformation, morphing into Afei's form. Black Zetsu promptly affixed himself to this new vessel, and together they employed the Mayfly technique to vanish from the scene. Shortly after their departure, a substantial surge of chakra descended upon the very same location. Emerging into view was a woman in her thirties, adorned in crimson attire. It was none other than Mito.

Despite her efforts, Mito scoured the area in search of any discernible traces, yet she failed to find anyone or anything. In that very moment, Hiruzen emerged from behind her, accompanied by Sakumo, and by their side stood Mitsuo.

A few moments earlier, Mito had been engrossed in her daily chores when she suddenly sensed a familiar chakra—it belonged to Uchiha Madara. Startled, the item in her hand slipped from her grasp, and her heart raced with unease. Unable to control her own chakra, she emitted it in an uncontrollable burst. Wasting no time, she swiftly sprinted toward the direction where she felt Madara's chakra emanating from.

Meanwhile, Hiruzen had been engaged in a discussion with Sakumo when he also detected a surge of potent chakra coming from Mito. Sensing that she was headed towards the vicinity of the ROOTS base, he grew perplexed. Could it be related to Kushina? Nevertheless, without delay, he decided to follow Mito. In the midst of his journey, he encountered Mitsuo, prompting him to inquire, "Do you have any idea why Mito-sama appears so restless?"

Mitsuo responded, "No, she suddenly released her chakra and headed in this direction. I, too, am eager to discover what has unsettled my sister so deeply."

In the present moment, Hiruzen stepped forward and gazed at Mito, questioning, "Mito-sama, what has transpired to leave you in such a state of restlessness?"

Mito glanced at everyone around her, observing the perplexed expressions on their faces. Letting out a sigh, she responded, "While I was occupied with my tasks, I sensed Uchiha Madara's chakra. However, as I arrived here, his chakra abruptly vanished."

Hiruzen's face registered a mix of shock and fear as he exclaimed, "What? How can that be? Are you certain, Mito-sama? Madara has been deceased for many years."

"Would you think I'd make such an error?" Mito retorted, her face expressionless, asserting her certainty.

Hiruzen, now composed, responded, "My apologies, Mito-sama, for my momentary lapse. I shall immediately raise Konoha's alert level and initiate a search for Madara."

Mito nodded in acknowledgment upon hearing Hiruzen's words. Then, she added, "Let us ensure that the Uchiha clan remains unaware of this development. We must safeguard the village's peace."

Hiruzen nodded in agreement, absorbing Mito's concern. He departed alongside Sakumo, leaving Mito standing there, sighing.

"Don't worry, sister. Everything will be alright," Mitsuo reassured her, offering comfort.

Following that, they both left and made their way to the Senju clan compound.

Konoha remained on high alert, with every individual in the village actively searching for any signs of a suspicious intruder. However, their efforts proved fruitless as days passed without any significant discoveries.

On the eve of the Chunin exams, Kushina was strolling through the village when Hiroshi suddenly appeared before her. He swiftly conveyed, "Mitsuo-sama is calling for us. Please follow me."

Although Hiroshi's chakra emanated from him, Kushina sensed that he was being untruthful. Despite her suspicion, she reluctantly decided to follow him, deep into the forest. As they journeyed further, Hiroshi eventually halted and turned towards her.

Kushina's expression shifted as a sense of unease washed over her. Her Kagura Mind's Eye, typically reliable in detecting her surroundings, failed to provide any insights. Perplexed, she confronted Hiroshi, demanding an explanation.

However, to her astonishment, Hiroshi's demeanor transformed as he erupted into maniacal laughter. His body underwent a drastic change, revealing himself to be White Zetsu. With a twisted glee in his voice, he taunted, "Look at how frightened she is! HAHA!"

In an instant, around thirty ninjas materialized, encircling Kushina. Four individuals swiftly coordinated to execute the Four Violet Flames Formation; a technique known for its formidable trapping abilities. Kushina, undeterred by the odds stacked against her, brandished her sword and smirked. "You may have prepared this formation, but you underestimate me if you think you can capture me."
