Chapter 19: Lombriz De Tierra

The day after Olivia got the expulsion from Colonel Gray, Aiden was looking for her omnipresent the school premises but failed to locate her. He remarked that Olivia's locker was missing its door, and he asked himself, "What the hell happened here?!"

Suddenly, Mavis and Pauline appeared in the hallway, and to Aiden's wonderment, they were extremely miserable. He rushed towards them and asked anxiously, "Have you seen Olivia? I am worried about her! Where is she?" They then realized that Aiden genuinely cared about her. Pauline asked, "She had a huge influence on you. Didn't she?" Aiden lost his patience and started to yell at them, "Where is Olivia?!!!" Mavis stepped forward and stammered with grief, "Y--Yesterday, O--Olivia got an e---expulsion f---from C--Colonel G--Gray." Aiden hesitated, "W---What?" Pauline tried to explain, "Aiden she--." He interrupted her mid-sentence, "I need to go." He raced out of the premises as fast as he could.

In the meanwhile, Sarah thought about Vincent's proposal and decided to accept it. She said to her herself, "Since Aiden and Olivia are together, I don't stand a chance with him. I like Vincent, and I think that he's the one." At lunchtime, when no one was present in the hallways, Sarah arranged her books in her locker and headed to the cafeteria to meet up with Vincent. Suddenly, she stopped and noticed Vincent holding another figure in a warm embrace. She was heartbroken, and she thought to herself, "HOW COULD HE DO THIS TO ME!" She heard Vincent pulling back and saying this to the girl there with him, "I'm glad that you came from Spain to see me. I promise that I will never let you go ever again. I love you, and I've always wanted to be with you from the start, Lombriz De Tierra." After overhearing that, Sarah screamed at the top of her voice, "EARTHWORM?!!! You're in love with that EARTHWORM!! You bloody prick!!!" Vincent walked towards Sarah to make her understand, but she flies away crying.

Sarah rushed to Simmons park when there were snow showers, sat on a bench covered with snow, and buried her face in her hands, sobbing. At that moment, she noticed Aiden, who was also weeping on a bench nearby. Sarah went and took a seat next to him. Whenever she saw him, she perceived that all her apprehensions would fade in thin air. She then realized that she never liked Vincent the way she loved Aiden. She asked, "What happened Aiden?" He replied with anger and depression, "Olivia got expelled! I wish I knew why! I know that she wouldn't do anything to deserve this! Someone must be involved! How can--" He stopped mid-sentence and burst into tears. Sarah placed her hand on his shoulder to comfort him, and she said, "My problems are nothing in front of this." He continued, "I truly loved her! She was like a SISTER to me!" Sarah's eyes widened at the word SISTER. She asked him, "Did you say that Olivia is like a sister to you?" Aiden nodded with approval. Sarah realized that she made a huge mistake. She realized that she lost her best friend for no reason. She didn't confess to Aiden that Olivia getting expelled was her fault. She raced to the school as fast as she could.
