Chapter 18.2: Everything Fades Away

After Mavis and Pauline confronted Aiden and Olivia, the four of them hung out together as a group during lunch. Sometimes, Aiden would spend time with his Chinese companions, and Olivia goes off the school premises to meet up with Samar. Everything was going well, until one day a disaster struck. Sarah was walking with Vincent in the grade 11 hallways and looked over to see Aiden and Olivia holding hands and Olivia leaning on his shoulder. That scene filled her with rage and fury, and she chose to interrogate Olivia the next day at lunch.

The following day, while Olivia was arranging her books in her locker with Mavis and Pauline standing alongside her, Sarah strolled towards them and screamed, "YOU TRAITOR! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!" Olivia turned around and asked with her eyebrows raised, "What do you mean? What did I do?" Sarah retaliated, "Don't give me that crap! I know you're dating Aiden!" Olivia responded with anger in her chest, "No, I'm not! Why the fuck do you care!? Shouldn't you be hanging out with your new boyfriend, VINCENT!?" Sarah lost her temper and pushed Olivia while saying, "HOW DARE YOU?"

Mavis and Pauline rushed forward and said, "Sarah, take it easy! You don't understand why--" Sarah was so enraged that she wasn't thinking straight and she pushed the two girls alongside her away! She yelled, "Oh! So now what, you're on her side now!?" Olivia composed herself and replied, "Sarah, it's not what it looks like. Let me explain--" Sarah interrupts, "Shut up, you b****! Look who's talking! You're practically dating two people at the same time! Aiden, Samar, both! Are you a girl or a shuttlecock!? If you think that you're an expert on love, then did you end up with your ex-boyfriend Samar? And how was your love makeup trip to Toronto?!"

Olivia's eyes widened, and she asked Sarah, "How do you know that?" Sarah fell silent, whereas Mavis and Pauline were mad at her for spilling it out. But that's nothing compared to what happened next. Olivia's tone of voice got higher, "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?! ANSWER ME!" She pulled her locker door, which actually broke open! She shouted while throwing that in the direction where Sarah was standing, "TELL ME!!!!" The bomb exploded and obviously blew up the entire surroundings. The principal rushed out of his cabin and screamed at Olivia, "MS. MADHAVAN! YOU AND YOUR COMPANIONS; IN MY OFFICE NOW!

*AT THE OFFICE*

The principal screamed at Olivia, "I am not going to tolerate any nonsense or this kind of offensive behavior in the school premises." Olivia tried to defend herself by saying, "But sir I-" The principal cuts her off by saying, "Do you even know how much do these lockers cost? You are an excellent student! I do not deny that, but to prevent this type of conduct in the future, I have to take some strict action against you. Olivia Madhavan, you will be expelled from the Colonel Gray premises. Do you understand?" Olivia nodded with tears in her eyes. The principal gaze softened as he saw her crying. He then suggested, "How about I make you a deal? I will do the favor of transferring you to Charlottetown Rural High; where all the IB Indian students attend; you will find people of your own kind there. Also, I am giving you Charlottetown's most trusted councilor's contact information; you can talk to her and figure out a way to control your temper. Got it?"

Olivia wiped her tears, thanked the principal for his gesture, and left his office without a word. Mavis and Pauline saw her departure from the room, and they didn't bother asking her what the principal said, as they heard everything they conversed by sticking their ears to the office door. Aiden didn't know what transpired on that day, as he had to go to the hospital for his regular checkup after his colonoscopy. Only God knows, what will happen the following day.
