Chapter 7: Worry

A teacher stopped Hazen and they started talking I didn't pay attention I went inside the classroom Marina was waiting for me. Time went by the party was about to end. I couldn't believe only three days were left for school. Holidays would start in no time. I wished, me and Marina would be in same class next year.

I went towards the classroom to change into my clothes, afterwards I went outside and saw the teacher and Hazen still talking. He is new here he loooks young, is good looking and really tall, im talking about the teacher.

I glanced over Hazen he looked mad I wonder what happened, but he did look kinda scary I walked downstairs, I kept thinking what could be the reason he looked so mad as I went near the gate Marina was waiting for me outside.

"What's wrong? what are you thinking?" said Marina as we walked.

"Nothing, I saw Hazen and a teacher that looked new talking he looked mad I wonder why." I said as I looked down still in thought.

Marina nudged me I looked at her confused, she gave me a smirk.

"Are you worried about him?" She nudged again teasing me.

"Really?" I rolled my eyes.

"I was just thinking, nothing else, by the way should we go out tomorrow?" I changed topics but my mind was still filled with these thoughts.

As I reached home I did the usual stuff, today was so hot I felt like I would get barbecued from the sun, I saw my sister sitting in the balcony, It was almost evening everybody was in their bedrooms I decided to join her and we started talking.

"How was you school?" Mia said as she munched on some snacks.

"School is about to end now your asking?" I chuckled.

"I know that's why I'm asking how was this year and your class?"

"Good, it ended peacefully but…" I sighed.

"But…?" She looked at me with curiosity.

"You know there is this guy in my class, he transferred here recently, he's name is Hazen, he is rude, disrespectful, mean, idiotic-" Mia interrupted.

"Woah woah, so he's a bad boy?" She raised her eyebrows as if she was excited.

"Yeah you can say that, he doesn't talk to anyone not that it's bad but he doesn't even answer when i'm explaining things to him he just acts like I don't exist."

As we talked mom walked in the balcony we went silent she looked at us with a smile, a suspicious smile.

"It's late don't you have school tomorrow?" She said holding some clothes on her arm.

We went to our bedroom. I picked my phone and saw some messages from Marina, I text back and we started to talk, after a while I felt sleepy but the conversation we were having was interesting so we kept talking. After what felt like a day or two I finally went to sleep.

Next Morning

I went to school happy because only two days were left. I was sitting on my chair I felt really sleepy because of the long conversation that me and Marina had last night, my eyes were closing I didn't even realise when I felt asleep.

I opened my eyes Hazen was staring at me with a slight smile as I fully woke up I quickly sat up straight. Why is he staring at me? I thought.

"Good sleep?" Hazen said still looking at me with the same look.

"Hm? haha" I didn't look at him as I gave him an awkward laugh.

"You looked quite relaxed, didn't sleep last night?"

"I was not sleeping I was just relaxing my eyes." I gave an excuse. "I slept late last night so thats why…"

"What were you doing?"

"Huh? Oh I was just talking to Marina." I said as I cleared my throat softly he was still staring, the air was different today.

The teacher didn't come to class so we didn't do anything. Second period started with a new teacher coming in our classroom it was the teacher that I saw with Hazen when they were talking really seriously. The girls stared at him he was good looking.

"Hello everyone i'm Sam I will most definitely be your teacher next year and today we won't be doing anything so do whatever you want but no shouting." He said as he sat on his chair and started to work on his laptop.

I should've stayed home if we are not doing anything why not just end school early I sighed thinking to myself.

"What are you thinking?" Hazen talked.

"Nothing" I said, trying to continue the conversation.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

He smiled or smirked...?

I looked at him confused, is it some type of a code? what does it mean? why is he smiling? Does he have a limit for words? Is the limit over? He won't talk?. I kept thinking.

"Lia can we talk?" Said Mr.Sam. I snapped out of my thoughts.

He went outside the classroom as I followed him.

"Lia, Thank you." Said Mr.Sam smiling.

Thank you? Why? Did I do something? If yes then, what did I do?. I thought.

"Uh what did I do?" I asked in confusion.

"My brother finally talked to me thanks to you." Said Mr.Sam smiling.

"Your brother? I'm sorry but I think you misunderstood something I don't know your brother" I said, than I thought. "or do I?" I asked not knowing who is his brother.

"No I didn't misunderstand, my brother, Hazen."

"What? you are Hazen's brother?" I said in slight shock.

That's why they look alike, man their genes are no joke.

"Yes I'm his older brother." He crossed his arms looking proud.

The door opened, Hazen walked out towards Mr. Sam.

"What are you talking about?" He said his voice was different from before.

"Nothing, I'll go." He left as if he was trying to escape.

I smiled at Hazen awkwardly he was about to say something but the bell rang school ended early.

"Bye." I waved, smiled and walked towards the classroom got my stuff including Marina and ran out of school.

And just like that school ended, holidays started.
