Chapter 18

Author's note: Hello readers. I previously mentioned that I won't be able to update next chapter for 12 days due to my exams. Well I took time to the update this chapter. The next chapter will be 7 days after my exams are over. Also Name any two favourite aliens of Ben each from classic, alien force, ultimate alien and Omniverse.

(3rd POV)

Rex is waiting for his sister's reply to his question. He knows that she will not hide anything from him.

Looking at her brother and her grandparents, Hope replied.

Hope: I went to see my friends to the hospital.

Rex: What happened to your friends?

Hope: I don't know. Something strange is happening to them since 5 days. All of them started to lose their health and began to feel tired and weak.

Hearing this, Rex and his grandparents noticed something strange. It's very unusual for anyone.

Max: Did it start to happen with the students of your school, Hope?

Hope: Yes, grandpa. It happened to most of my friends in the school. I also noticed that they are out of energy or something drained out of their body. Some of them are in coma now.

Rex: Is there anything more you want say?

Hope: Yes, I have. I have getting a feeling that someone is following me. The same thing happened to my friends before they got hospitalised. Also the victims have a ring of 'bite marks' on their bodies.

Hearing everything from her sister, Rex gets an idea of the situation.

It means that someone or something is absorbing the energy and lifeforce of those students. It also tried to take Hope's energy and lifeforce, but didn't succeed. He knows who is behind this.

Next time, it will try again with Hope.

He feels a familiar presence which is outside of their mansion and observing them secretly. It tries to enter into the boundary around the mansion which is clearly impossible. There is an invisible barrier by Rex that prevents any supernatural being, or any superpower being to enter.

The Hakuryuukou goes his way towards the door and turns his face towards his family.

Rex: Everyone, it's time to sleep. Its already night time. Hope, you should eat your dinner before going to bed.

Verdona: Where are you going out at night, Rex?

Rex: I need to clear my mind, grandma. Don't worry. I will return in 10 minutes.

Outside the boundaries of the mansion, there is a figure observing its target. The figure is wearing a black cloak to hide itself.

But it doesn't know that someone is observing him without revealing it's presence. It's none other than Rex in his alien form. It is Ghostfreak.

He has dark blue chains all over his front side which lead to his neck, waist, and center/chest, giving him the appearance of being contained in a straitjacket, but with his arms out freely. The spikes on his elbows have returned, his skin is now a bluish-white shading, and he has two cuffs on each of his arms. The Omnitrix symbol is located at the center of his chains. His tentacles are now black and blue-striped and his single eye is colored light blue.

Rex is currently invisible due to Ghostfreak's ghost abilities and observing the cloaked individual.

Now time to capture the cloaked person.

Rex silently goes behind the cloaked individual. Then he enters into its body and possess it.

With that, he got the memories of the unknown individual.

Rex controls both hands of the unknown individual and started to punch itself on his face.

After 5 minutes, Rex stops hls fun. He induces a stroke on the body that he currently possessed which knocks it out of consciousness.

Rex comes out from its body and sees that the cloaked individual is completely unconscious for now.

He transforms back to his human form.

Now if anyone is thinking why no one seen or heard anything that happened. Rex has already increased the range of the invisible barrier that also shows illusions to others outside of it.

Rex: Just as I expected. Nice to see you again, Michael.

Rex removes the hood and reveals the face of unknown individual.

A handsome young man in his late teens with blond hair, light blue eyes, dark eyebrows, and pale skin.

The cloaked individual revealed to be Michael Morningstar or also known by the name Darkstar, another character and a recurring villain from Ben 10. He is a mutant human with the ability to drain life force and energy from living beings in physical contact. He gained a grudge against Ben and his team after they accidentally caused him to turn into a zombie-like being who has to wear a helmet to hide his face. His plans usually involve gaining back his original face and feeding himself.

His energy/life absorption powers are somewhat similar to Kevin's absorption powers, while his light/dark energy/magic powers are similar to Gwen's mana/magic powers.

A year ago, Rex met Michael where the latter was abusing his powers for his own selfish purpose. There were many victims that lost their life because of Michael's hunger for power.

Later Michael tried to absorb Rex's energy and life force which was a big mistake for him.

Rex absorbed all the energy from Michael leaving the latter completely powerless.

To ensure that it never happen again, the Hakuryuukou also took away Michael's abilities from him which later makes him a normal human.

He also erased Michael's memories about him completely. Later he left Michael in the hands of police to handle.

It seems Michael somehow got his powers back and started to steal the lifeforce of the civilians again.

From Rex's shadow, several chains of darkness come out and bind the unconscious Michael which drags into Rex's shadow.

This is Darkness manipulation due to Rex's affinity for Darkness, thanks to his sacred gear [Cannis Lykaon].

These are two sub-skills of Darkness manipulation: [Darkness chains] and [Realm of Absolute darkness].

These chains are made of pure darkness that can bind anyone and drag them to world of Darkness where there is no light at all.

Rex: Lykaon, please take care of our guest. Make sure he is treated very well.- He said with sadistic smile.

Lykaon: {Don't worry, partner. I will make sure, he will be treated very well.}

Another fact that Rex's shadow is connected to [Cannis Lykaon] where Lykaon is. Anything that is sent to [Realm of Absolute Darkness], Lykaon will also be there.

The Slash Dog uses this skill for torture and interrogation. Lykaon cruelly tortures his victims to the point where they lost their mind and their soul and body is completely broken.

Albion: [Both of you are really sadistic. Specifically you, Rex.]

In these 20 years, The White Dragon has known and understood most of Rex's mindset and his personality. One of the characteristic of Rex is his sadistic nature.

Rex had brutally tortured and killed those who possess threats for him, his family and the world.

If someone tries to play/manipulate Rex for their personal gains, it won't be very good for those who try it.

Then Rex goes back to his mansion where later goes to his room to sleep.

Now in the shadow realm, Lykaon is having fun with Michael who is currently having nightmares which is preventing him to sleep.

Lykaon: {Don't dare to sleep. I have many things to try.}

Michael: Who are you?- He asked in a weak state.

The Wolf spirit didn't reply anything and continues his torture with Michael.
