Planned Meeting

ALMOST ALL of the employees showed their respect to Hershey when she walked passed through them. They easily recognized her even if she doesn't work at that company.

She walked with confidence as she entered his father's office. She was uninvited, and it was also quite rude. This was not a personality she have that anyone would be familiarized with. That's why, Reed was quite surprised with Hershey's attitude.

"Father," she greeted.

"What brings you here?" Reed asked calmly.

"I want to be honest with you. I don't want to proceed with the engagement with Kian" Hershey straightforwardly said.

Reed frowned at what Hershey just uttered. "You came here to just say that? Are you trying to irritate me?"

Hershey just gave a smile even though she was really scared. This decision of hers will make her father dislike her even more. She knew of this, but she still decided to proceed with it.

"Kian and I won't work out, dad" she said as she shook her head.

That was the truth. No matter what they do, both of Kian and Hershey are just not interested with others. If anything else, they were better off as friend instead. Both of them like each other's company but not romantically. Hershey was aware of this.

"Then make it work!" Reed shouted in frustration. When he noticed that he was losing his temper, he gave a loud sigh. "Leave now, Hershey. I still have a lot of things to do"

Hershey followed her father's advice and left the room. Although, pursuing his father about the engagement was indeed a reason why she came here, that was not her only purpose. It was just actually an excuse to visit the company.

After Hershey walked out of the elevator she showed a surprise expression when she met the guy she had a dance with at the party before. But at the back of her mind, she was secretly smirking as her plan worked.

This was her original reason for coming here.

"You're here," the guy who walked towards her said.

"I should say that back to you. Oh, wait. You did say that you worked here, huh." Hershey acted.

Of course, she didn't forget about it. After all, the only clue she have about this guy was that he works in Cream Delight and part of the Marketing Department. She wondered about how to get to know more about this guy, and so she decided to just visit the company instead. But she needed a reason to be not too obvious of her true objective. So, she used Kian's name to have a valid excuse.

"Ah, yes. Do you need help with something?" The guy asked.

Hershey smiled, "Are you free?"

"Yeah, I guess. Why?"

"Great! Do you mind if you tour me around here? I rarely visits the company so I'm not familiarize with this place that much" she reasoned out.

It was true, but that doesn't mean she's really interested in touring the place. As she said, she rarely visits the company that's why there's also no reason for her to familiarize herself there. It's enough to know where his father's office is located at.

"No, I don't mind. Where do you want to go first?"

"Anywhere. You take the lead," Hershey answered. "So, what's your name? This is our second meeting, but I still haven't gotten to know your name"

"Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Glyde Trie Romero"

"I'm Hershey Mendez" she introduced herself back. She saw how Glyde was slightly surprised when she mentioned her name, but he was able to compose himself.

"I see. Nice to meet you, uhh... ma'am?"

She laughed softly, "Just call me Hershey or Shey. Whichever you prefer"

"Alright" Glyde easily agreed.

Glyde started to walk as he guides Hershey around the building. Many people greets them along the way. Other than, Hershey was well known to be the daughter of the CEO, Glyde was also quite popular. Nevertheless, Hershey's attention was all only at Glyde.

"So, what brings you here?" Glyde asked while they were walking.

"I visited my father," Hershey answered. "By the way, it seems like everyone knows you here?"

Glyde shook his head, "Not everyone. It just happened that we frequently pass by the people who I know of"

Hershey tried to hide a smile as Glyde tries to humble himself.

"Have you eaten already?" Glyde asked to divert the topic.

Hershey raised her brow at his question. He immediately noticed this, "It's already lunch time and it seems like you just got out of the meeting with your father"

She was amused. "Why? Are you gonna treat me for lunch?"

Glyde shrugged. "Sure, I guess"

"Alright. Let's go. You lead the way" Hershey said as she giggled. She really can't help but to be fascinated by this guy. There was nothing special about him, but she also knows that there is something within him and she just couldn't figure it out what that is. She, however, also knows that it isn't love. It's curiosity for sure and... something else.

Just as what Hershey suggested, Glyde was the one who picked a place where they'll gonna eat. He was also quite attentive to Hershey. He doesn't forget to ask for her opinion but it seems like he already knows what she wants anyway. Even if she only say, "You pick. I'm fine with anything". He would always pick the one that she secretly likes. She doesn't know if it was only a coincidence or not, but this made her to be more interested with him.

Everything started at curiosity about him at first, but Hershey is slowly realizing something now that she gets to spend a time with him a little bit more than before. She is now wondering what it would be like, if he is part of her life.

She was enjoying his company and their small talks, when a phone call interrupted them. It kind of annoyed Hershey a little bit.

"Thank you for the lunch. I honestly had fun. You made my day after having a troublesome meeting with my father earlier," she thanked him before bidding her goodbye since Glyde is already needed at the office.

"It was my pleasure. I'll be going ahead. Please, be careful on your way back home" He said before going back.

She waved her hand as he was walking away from her. During this time, she have decided.

She wants him.
