Arriving at the Capital City.

In the Kingdom of Icuris there was a council happening in the Royal palace.

"I want this years Royal Academy test to go perfect, Allowing no harm to come to any of our participants especially our noble children just like what happened to Grand Duke Aien's heir."

A man commanding a royal presence said while sitting on a throne carved out of wood that is twisting in such an intricate way it shows energy was used in the process of crafting this piece.

In response to his command a tall muscular man stood and and clasped his right hand over his heart and bowed while keeping his freehand at his side and spoke.

"As you command your majesty everything has been prepared, The guards surrounding the academy are our top notch military personal."

The King hummed in acknowledgement and the tall man sat back in his seat.

An old man stood up, His beard was almost touching the ground as he gave a bow and said.

"As you have commanded Your Majesty, I have prepared the best professors and appraising tools for this years event I would never fail Your Majesty's expectations especially with the Princess and Grand Duke Aien's heir attending this year."

The King assented and spoke with a commanding tone.

"This Royal council has been dismissed and you advice heeded, I look forward to your work."

Both men left leaving the last council member in the room.

"Do you really have the heart to dismiss your lover Erland? What about hearing my advice?"

A beautiful elvish woman said with a teasing tone.

If either of the previous men heard what the Queen said they would be shocked that their King was being teased by his Queen.

"Don't tease me Imryll, You council is without a doubt the most important to me,"

The once commanding presence he had in front of his two council members collapsed in the face of his wife's teasing tone.

"I had my people look into their work and it doesn't seem to be lacking in attention to detail, But with the Louya Kingdom's internal problems right now we can't count out the rebellious nobles of its kingdom attacking us to create more chaos for them to take advantage of."

"Yes I am worried about them taking extreme measures in dealing with our kingdom now that they have stirred up enough trouble to incite some rebellious intent in my nobles, Once they have us fighting internally they can attempt a coup without fear of being attacked while weakened and I'm sure the Laizer Kingdom is having the same problem."

The King sighed, Got up and sat in his wife's chair after picking her up and placing her on his lap.

The Queen squealed like a little girl when she was placed on her lovers lap and asked a question as she settled into her new position.

"Erlan do we really have to have Viessa marry Revalor, Even though she seems to like him he never says much and I know its not his fault that his soul was injured but I feel at the same time that it is unfair for our daughter to be with someone who doesn't show emotion."

The King sighed before answering.

"Imryll I understand your feelings I even feel them to a certain extent but Aien used a favor I gave him long ago, To ask for our daughter to be married to his son so even with the way Revalor's condition is at the moment all we can do is keep our hopes up for his injury to recover and he can gain his emotions back so our daughter can live a happy life free of worry."

"He used the favor you gave him seventy years ago?"

The Queen asked curiously, Because if he did she understood her husbands actions.

"Yes, He finally used it when he heard you were pregnant with a daughter."

She didn't ask any questions after that, She understood what the Grand Duke sacrificed to quell the rebellion of nobles in the kingdom before her husbands ascension to the throne.

Meanwhile in a bedroom in the castle of the House of Venzana...

I woke up groggily and gave my eyes a rub to clear them, After a few moments I stretched and started to organize my thoughts so I could give myself a rundown on the information.

'I have been reincarnated on a planet named Sloloqu that two moons orbit, Lotus says the planet is three times the size of earth. Leaving the planets total surface area being 590 million square miles, of course not all of this is earth but from the information Lotus has gathered earth covers roughly 172 million square miles of land. The rest of the surface area being 417 million square miles of ocean. Even if someone beat me until I was black and blue I would never believe there is no humanoids in the ocean's.'

On Sloloqu, There are 3 known continents that are named; Driqios, Anura and Eihan. Supposedly there is a fourth continent but from the information we have it is just myth, Though I don't doubt for a moment it is real so at-least we could have land to explore in this life!

The continent called Driqios is ruled by the Elves and has a total square mileage of 43 million. This doesn't mean that there are no other species in-fact the Elvish continent is home to the most diverse species' of any continent, It simply means Elves' have more population then the other species and thus "rule" the continent. The other species' that share this continent are; Tree-People or Treants , Dragons, Phoenix's, Dwarves and Elementals. There are a few other minor species but they are mostly animals or beasts that have no intelligence, The reason the other species haven't allied together to over-throw the Elves is that their reproduction rate's are worse than the Elves'. The one species' that could pose a threat to our population is the Dwarves but they solely focus on crafting, mining and refining their precious ores and do not have many offspring.

'I will have to get the Dwarves to breed more somehow as I will need as many of them and their skills as possible to make this planet better for me and my family.'

There are a total of four Kingdom's on the Driqios continent the names are; Kingdom of Icuris, Kingdom of Louya, Kingdom of Laizer and the Dwarven Kingdom of Sulston. The first three Kingdom's were once apart of the Elvish Empire that declined leaving them to fracture and become the three Kingdom's that hold each variant of Elf. The Kingdom of Icuris consists of the Wood Elves' including their "common" and High Elf variants, The Kingdom of Louya consists of the Dark Elves' which includes their "common" and High Elf variants as-well, The Kingdom of Laizer also includes the "common" and High Elf variants of Light Elves.

'Lotus can you explain the difference between a "common" or normal Elf and me their High Elf variant?'

[The only "difference" normal Elves have is a lesser chance of having multiple energy affinities, But for this "negative" normal Elves' are able to reproduce at a faster rate then their High Elf variants.]

[I don't think there is much of a difference, The normal Elf variant simply took a different evolutionary path and if anything the normal Elves have a better path to ensure their survival, They have increased reproduction rates and do not have to worry about multiple affinities giving them the ability to cultivate their energy faster.]

Lotus and I continued chatting about this world while making our plans, It wasn't before long before I heard a loud knock on my door and heard Ayla speaking from the other side.

"My Lord breakfast is ready, His Grace and Madam are waiting."

'Oh, Breakfast already though it is good timing as I was starting to grow hungry.'

I thought while getting up and telling Ayla through the door.

"Ill be there in a moment Ayla."

After I said this I got dressed and made myself presentable, I opened the door and I thought to myself before walking out.

'I will have to thank the person who introduced the bath and toothbrush to the Elven nobles, I would hate to have no way to bathe or brush.. Though the bath remains a problem even for nobles as the cost to hire a energy cultivator for heating water whenever you wanted a bath is to expensive.'

'Hot water heating should not be a problem for too much longer as I will improve the technology when I am able.'

"Morning Ayla thanks for waiting for me, Please lead the way"

I said with a smile and confidence in my tone.

'She was worried last night about how other nobles will cause problems if I am nice to my servants, I shall make sure to fix that as-well. Who cares who I am nice to I am the Grand Duke's heir and son. No-one will bully me or my people because I show them the respect afforded to intelligent lifeforms.'

"My Lord."

She said while giving me a pleading look as if saying don't be nice to your servant!

"I won't hear it, Lead the way Ayla."

'Man she really is stuck on me not being nice, For the people I consider family I will not compromise on things I have decided to do. '

"Yes, My Lord."

She bowed and led me to the dining room where I saw mother and father sitting in their respective chairs.

'Luckily our family doesn't care for noble etiquette though we still maintain the face of powerful nobles my family is nice to our people, We do not abuse them like other nobles do or starve them on purpose. Our dukedom is one of the cleanest and least starvation struck territory's yet it is still far from my modern standards I would enjoy.'

Ayla followed behind as I walked and sat in my chair where she then stood a few feet away, As I started to give the "proper" greetings.

"Good morning Father, Mother."

I said while looking between the both of them.

"Good morning son, I hope you are excited as I am for your test."

Father said this while his face betrayed his true emotions.

"Good morning Revalor, My Love why do you not seem as excited as your mouth is painting you to be?

My mother looked at me for the former part of her sentence and gave a smile before asking father her teasing question.

"I'm just a bit worried about Revalor's ability to actually use energy after all his soul was injured. Son I just don't want you to be disappointed if you do not have affinity for energy cultivation it is not the end of road, Your old man cannot wield the energies anymore and yet I have still retained my position and power by training my body."

Father said the former while showing worry on his face, He then turned his head and looked at me for the latter half of his sentence showing a confident smile and a flex of muscle.

"Don't worry father even if I can't cultivate the energies I will train my body and rescue second mother and sister!"

I said in a confident tone or at-least as confident as a six year old could sound.

"Haha, That's my son."

"Alright I'm sure we are hungry lets get eating so we can get to the Royal academy."

Mother said while starting to devour her food gracefully.

'Seems like mother was the hungry one'

Breakfast went on for quite a while due to us chatting until it was time to leave for the capital city.

Around 30 minutes later, Aien, Syvis, Revalor and Ayla were sitting in an expensive but poorly manufactured carriage, Riding along the dirt road that was in poor condition are 2 carriages behind our and two ahead which are carrying a total of forty guards among other essentials on a trip to the capital city.

Father and mother are seated on one side of the carriage while Ayla and I are on the other.

"Father what is the capital city like?"

I asked curiously, looking up at him from my Ayla lap pillow.

'Ah being young is nice you get free lap pillows whenever you ask.'

[I do not think it has to do with you being young Revalor, After all you are her master.]

"The Kingdom of Icuris' capital city was once the capital city of the Elven Empire and when the Empire fractured the other two kingdoms left with their people to create their own while our Kingdom took over the previous Empire capital city this is why the capital is made out of so many rare resources even though its people starve. The capital city's massive walls are made out of the finest blithril metal, The walls themselves seem to be towering over the city as its guardian deity. It Has hundreds of thousands of elves dwelling within its walls and because our capital city is the only capital with the Elven Tree whoever sits on its throne can claim the rights to the fallen Elven Empire. Unfortunately that is where its positive points stop now it is rife with corruption, Nobles abusing their power and commoners starve while the nobles live lavishly. It also feels like another rebellion is brewing and it is only a matter of time before we will be in another period of internal strife."

Father sighed at the end while looking at mother and giving her a look as if saying to continue the conversation.

'Sigh.. Just like my past life there is still the reality to face of corruption and people abusing their power. It will take a lot of work to clean this mess up.'

"Revalor my cute son, Because your father is the Grand Duke of the Kingdom he has enemies that are always looking for an opportunity to hurt him and his family members. Just remember to be careful of who you trust in life, after all they might just give up the locations of your wives' birth seeking to harm them like they did to Dirue and I."

Mother said before looking at me and giving me an affectionate head pat and said.

"Don't worry your little head, With Ayla who will be staying by your side at all times you will be safe not to mention your other guards."

'She seems to be worried about me being assassinated but doesn't want to outright tell a six year old. It surprises me that Ayla will be my bodyguard it seems that she is more than a maid.'

[Isn't that perfect? It aligns with your devious plan to acquire a combat maid lover!]

'Those words never came out of my mouth!'

As we chatted riding down the bumpy road we eventually arrived at the capital city's gate where I heard whispers as we passed through the gate while skipping the line for both nobles and normal people.

"Hey how is that fair! they skipped both lines!"

"Shut up, Idiot what he the Grand Duke heard you can hung you right where you stood!?"

The rest were faint but as we passed but these two were the loudest.

'This city seems to be really afraid of nobles, Well I don't blame them I would hate to be hung for a simple comment I made as-well.'

We eventually arrived at the Royal Academy where they will be hosting the test, When I asked father why we don't live in the capital like the some of the other nobles he said he would rather be in his dukedom where he can at-least look at the starving people in his territory without guilt as he knows that they know he tries his hardest to feed them whereas in the capital he doesn't have enough control over various matters.
