Chp. 14 Departure

Marc had been asking subtly about people and rumors around places from the maids. Etra was quite talkative and said a lot of info that Marc was able to deduce from.

A total Fantasy world and there are many more places with many magical creatures still undiscovered and not recorded for now. But it made Marc want to wander around the world to see those sights.

He looked towards the small monster town and smiled feeling happy he has a peaceful place here but he is still human. He craves human interaction and conversation, his guest could provide that but they will soon leave and go back to their homes.

But even then we was a person who also like being alone and did hobbies on his own. Thinking about it, he is already in his forties maybe he should try to find someone willing to live with him here.

"So are you all ready to depart?" Marc looked back to Janice as she finished drinking her juice.

"Yeah, I guess we are ready. Are you really not going to come with us? I could ask for the Emperor to give you a Duchy and lots of land with thousands of subjects, a Warrior Saint like you will definitely be welcomed and revered in my home." Janice looked at Marc with hopeful eyes as she offered once again.

"No, thank you. But I don't like politics." Marc smiled and shook his head, then he looked beyond the playground of the cubs he saw the knights and maids already prepared to venture back into the Foggy Mountains.

"Okay… but if you ever decide to wander out and visit my Homeland you could use this and many would welcome you to their establishments." Janice felt it was a pity Marc did not want to leave such a dangerous place. But from what she can see he is basically the strongest one within the unforgiving place.

She pulled a silver emblem with golden inlays and ruby gems embedded within it handing it to Marc making him instinctively receive the small item.

"What's this?" Marc asked as he looked at the emblem the size of half a palm.

"It's my family's insignia and it will prove you are a close friend of my clan. Treat is a gift from me." Lady Janice closed Marc's palm fearing he might reject this too if she let him think about it.

"Okay." Marc nodded and placed it in a small leather pouch on his side. He walked out with Janice and went towards the prepared servants of the Lady.

"Wait here for a moment, I'll go put on my armor." Marc then walked towards his Tree House and donned on the Nordic Gold armor.

This time it looked a golden pulse is passing through the small indents carved on the Armor making it looked like veins pumping blood into the whole body.

Marc had already been able to understand the two tomes at hand which were called 'The Book of Alchemical Forging' and 'Basic Primers and Potions in Alchemy'.

Too bad that there were still some parts he cannot make since it needed materials from other places but for now he was able to make use of what he has.

What Marc did not know is that most items with Mana or aura would not work in a Silenced area.

But since he used Monster cores from beasts that lived in such area for generations he was at least able to enchant the armors he has with simple enchantments that does not project outwards and only improves the item enchanted with things like {Harden}, {Sharp}, {Lightweight} and basic ones that he had already mastered.

Well he cannot make much of the advanced stuff in the book since their materials cannot be found in this area of the continent.

After putting on the Helmet he then went to place the full armor of Bacon on. Marc was done after a few minutes as he now rode out to see his guest waiting for him.

"Whoa!"

"Awesome!"

"SO handsome…"

"Wow…"

"(Ꙩ₀Ꙩ)"

The Servants awed at the magnificent armor that screamed of nobility and strength.

"Shall we get going my Lady?" Marc looked towards Janice who was now riding a sled made from carved wood and a pair of ribs from an enemy Steel back Boar that Marc had killed years prior.

The bones of the beast are so tough and light that the sled that Marc had made in his attempts to make a carriage still stands strong and operable.

It is being pulled by about six B-Class beast Horned brown Rabbits, Marc had captured as lot and made a small farm for them to be livestock and some were able to be subjugated and trained by him to pull the sled.

For the past week he also built three more sleds for the maids and their belongings as well as food Marc had given them. The Knights did not ask for a ride as they were better off in foot as it would make them make defensive formations faster to create a shield wall for their Lady.

One noble Lady, Six maids and about ten knights now stand in the Gates of the monster town with Marc riding bacon as well as twenty fighting roosters following behind him.

"We are ready Lord Marc." Lady Janice smiled as she looked back into the amazing beautiful monster Town that would totally shock the world should they hear and learn of such a place.

"Well then, let's move!" Marc then rode Bacon ahead as he tried to apply what he had learnt from the knights. There was a form of energy that makes up the power of most warriors and that is called aura.

Marc had seen how the knight practiced as they recovered making him apply some of what he had seen. But somehow they can only use it inside their body and cannot project it outside since the whole Wildlands is 'Silenced'.

But that did not stop Marc as he started pulling out the warm feeling inside of him to radiated aura towards up front to act as some sort of warning to the other Beast tribes. It did not project outside as he expected but it made his presence more known as he seemed like a beacon to the senses of the beasts.

*Vwoom!!*

The people behind him were wide eyed as they saw Marc suddenly radiate pressure so heavy that even when they were not the target they could still feel how strong it was.

"Warrior Saint indeed, only such people could radiate such power in these lands…" the knight captain murmured as his eyes widened as he suddenly felt a rush of energy inside of him and he advanced in quality of Aura just them, making him an A-Class ranked warrior.

"Th-this…" the knight captain looked at his body that felt warmer and more energetic making him smile.

"I've advanced too…" another knight said as he also became an A-ranked warrior but his was slightly weaker than the Knight Captain.

Lady Janice was wide eyed as she saw the advancements of her retinue making her feel grateful thinking Marc had done this to help her servants advance.

"Woohoo I'm a B-Class now!!" Etra on the other hand her maid jumped in glee like a kid that got a new toy.

Marc looked back and raised his brows a bit seeing the sudden advancements of the people behind him.

Though they cannot use much in the Wildlands they still got inspiration from feeling the power of Marc.

Shrugging his shoulders he rode forward and looked around making him see that his action indeed worked.

He could see some weaker animals shivering in fear and some downright fainted. He looked confident as he rode forward but deep inside he was squealing like a virgin teenage otaku as he kept repeating a sentence in his mind.

'I have conqueror's haki baby!!'

'I have conqueror's haki baby!!'

'I have conqueror's haki baby!!'

'I have conqueror's haki baby!!'

Marc was totally letting his inner scream to the top inside his head trying to control his smile from breaking out as it would ruin the cool atmosphere he was in.

Good thing he had already made his presence familiar to most of the strong beast in the Wildlands making them understand that it was Marc issuing a warning to not get close.

[Foggy Mountains]

"*Pant* Hah..ha*pant*" Lydia and her team ran fast as they were in alert looking everywhere.

"Shit shit shit! Who are these masked people attacking us?!" Lydia seemed annoyed as she kept her guard up while holding a beautiful sleek looking sword.

"*Pant* They…must be the… assassins sent to kill…the lady hah….*pant*" Henry panted as he wiped the sweat of his forehead since he is now seeing red, well it was just his hair of course.

"Damn it, if I get them I will skin them alive!" Lydia was in the middle of her teammates still alert as she was protecting the ones unable to react from sneak attacks faster within the middle.

"Let's go, Axe Face and Pang Hu would have faced the same problems as us so let's…get to the monolith fields…" Henry caught his breath as he raised his shield up as well as readied his Mace.

"Yeah, let's go…" Lydia then led her team following the markers and directions placed in the Foggy Mountains for the Adventurers.
