*Giggle!*

"Don't be so harsh to our leader, he just doesn't like the presence of other men and prefer the presence of us sisters. He's just a very sensitive person that's all." An older sister-like female seemingly in her 20s rode out in her Moa bird. She has blonde Hair and has a distinct sharp pointed ear indicating she is an Elf.

"You're the famous A-Class Archer Clarisse!" Henry was shocked as he looked at a famous elven archer adventurer that had been known to be a solo wanderer.

"Hmph! See?! I am obviously a very great leader so of course they would want to join my team!" Pang Hu smiled smugly as he opened his fan and flattered himself after recovering from the bleeding words of Lydia.

"Ughh, what a pansy…" Axe Face said he looked at how effeminate Pang Hu is.

"What a bore…" Pang Hu answered back.

"A bunch of perverts…" Lydia said while Henry was looking intently at the other Bald guy that was out of place in Axe Face group.

"Hmm, he's new…" Henry whispered among himself as he tried to remember if there were any notable member in the DCB (Deadly Cross Bones) that did not go with their distinct melee fighter focused team.

The three group spent a few minutes glaring at each other but in the end they went forward on the road until they arrived at the end where a large wooden fort was built between two cliffs that were the entrance towards the Fog Mountains.

This has been called the Twin Cliff guards that were said to have been erected by the Ten Grand Wizards in the famous tale of heroism.

It was said to have been a land filled with tens of thousands of dangerous beast that it was said to have the force to destroy entire empires of they are let to wander the world.

At one time there was a Beast that earned the subservience of the various herds and packs of monsters inside earning the title of Beast Overlord.

So ten Wizards with the help of Armies from the Kingdoms and Empires nearby tried to trap these beasts within the lands but were not able to complete it due to a strong group of Demons appearing to stop the wizards from successfully sealing the whole place.

In the battle that ensued even Warrior Saints joined in to protect the Wizards who were chanting for Days, but two of them were injured and left them severely weakened.

Leaving them no choice, but to use their lives to power the Forbidden spell Confusing Mist of Shyalya to confuse the beast making them remain there forever in the Peninsula.

While the rest was able to successfully cast the spell formation Silence of Avea to prevent the beast to ever use their Aura and Mana. As well as the Thunder God's rain field to keep the seas forever dangerous for the beast to swim through.

So this caused an imbalance in the nature of the peninsula where there is an all year round rain which brings the resentment of the dead Saints and Sages of the battle towards the Beast in the Wildlands.

Thus this was the only way the monsters in that land could leave is to go south if they ever get past the Fog that has a special effect on monsters that will render them unable to tell directions.

It was rumored to have been a wall of storms that should have been erected like the ones in the other sides of the land but the Demon's attack had made sure that there were not successful in this.

And seeing that there were no pure mages, wizards, witch or sorcerers in the three teams shows how the magical flow inside the land is so Erratic that spells cannot take form unless you are at the same level if not stronger than the one who casted the spells.

But no one was able to do so in the 'Silenced' land. So it is understandable that the princes hired their specific group to do this rescue mission.

Now the three groups arrived in the Fog Fort then showed their passes and contracts to the Fort Guards who were quite alert. Since the last guards that worked here were found to have been killed and now the Baroness of Mogard had assigned stricter policies to letting people in the Fog Mountains.

Even when Infamous and no news ever heard from inside, the Wildlands still have visitors. Some daring adventurers still get into the Fog to hunt the A-Class beast and sometimes S-Class that were unlucky to wander and get lost in the Fog.

But if they ever see that they were getting near the border of the Fog, they would see hundreds of signs were placed to prevent any more from wandering further then Adventurers will turn back.

So it was not weird for the guards at least to see three A-ranked Adventurer Teams wanting to hunt inside the Fog.

Since the real mission of the three were not yet known by the people around here. The rumor of the assassination attempt on the Emperor's is still around Solesinese and neighboring cities by their borders weirdly enough since the assassination happened in another nation's territory.

And this far place of the Navel Kingdom of Portwest is quiet very remote and far from the busy cities of the large mercantile Kingdom. Portwest is not even bordered to Solesinese and only thing connected the two nations was the Northeast Thunder Seas.

Thankfully the Port City of Blandge was very near to Mogard but it still took ten to twelve days by the fastest ships provided by the princes for the three adventurer group to arrive in the port city.

Few more days of trekking the mountainous slopes from Blandge to Mogard then another day from Mogard to the Fog Fort.

The three teams separated when they pass the fort and was now slowly combing through the foggy mountains to see if they could see signs of the group of Lady Janice Harleigh.

[Monster Town]

"So you're all from an Empire quite far from here, but you are trying to escape the assassins sent by a princess to frame the blame to one of the prince vying for the throne and the place you thought to have been best to run at was in a place titled as one of the most dangerous place on the face of the East Continent?" Marc looked at Lady Janice in front of him and asked this as he had just been curious of where this place was.

He had been learning the language and some cultures of this world from the knights and the maids. Now he could feel he is fluent enough to start a conversation to ask this of the guest in his place.

"Well that is almost what transpired but I chose to hide here because the Baroness of this land is a close friend of mine. If it were not for her we would have already been captured and killed by the assassins before we even got inside the Foggy Mountains." Janice Harleigh explained while she looked in marvel at how fast Marc had learned their language.

"This Baroness, how are you sure she was not the one who sent the sent the assassins?" Marc raised his brows as he asked this to his Guest.

"Never! She would not even think of that, it was just I had only told my brother the Emperor where I would stay while the contest for succession is still going on in the Empire." Janice vehemently denies Marc's words as she thought of her best friend.

"But someone else knew where you were going?" Marc stood up then took a look in the field where the young chicks were playing around with other beast cubs.

"Only one person was there with the Emperor when I told him. It was my Niece, the second Princess of the Empire, she is only a teenager but I had known how cunning and manipulative she is from when she was a small girl." Lady Janice scoffed in annoyance as she poured a glass of fruit juice into her cup.

"I see…" Marc just nodded and did not speak more. He knew if he asked too much them he might just let slip some info about himself.

Right now he is thinking of what persona is he going to introduce himself, he sure would not want to shout around that he came from another world.

Not that he could be sure he is from another world, maybe he just took over a dead body similar to his one and he just have the memories of another him in the modern world.

But even then it does not deny he knew things would not be simple with just him reaching out his hand and saying 'Hi, I'm a guy from another world. Nice to meet ya!'. It surely will not be a welcome celebration knowing he has strength thought to be equal to the strongest people in the continent.

People are naturally distrustful of things they do not have an understanding and Marc knew he does not like the bothersome life of being in the limelight.
