Chapter 27 - How to Aura?

There were more people on the right side than the left, it was about a 12-18 split. We were lined up in rows of 6, and I was in the first row, first column. I was originally going to be near the back, but they kept saying that I could go to the front.

It felt like more of a hassle to reject them so, I just complied.

I could hear some of the people behind me talk about how excited they were to learn aura. I will admit, aura seems powerful, Ella had hit me with her aura last time which is why I was sent flying. Supposedly if I used aura to block the damage would've lessened 10-fold, is what I was told.

A few seconds later, Kendel appeared in front of us.

"I'll get straight into it."

"Everyone sit down in a mediation position about five feet from each other."

I didn't even have to move, that's how fast the people behind and next to me moved into their positions. Before I could even sit down, they all made a face that said, 'I'm ready!"

I sat down criss crossed

"I'll be going in order. So, you're first Kai."

I nodded my head, no one behind me seemed to care, they were just excited about being able to learn it.

"Close your eyes and accept this into your body."

Huh? The fuck? Accept what into my body?

He put his hands on my back and I could feel some sort of coldness run throughout my body,

"Understand what that feels like, and then take it for your own. Collect the energy around you as well, this is aura."

Huh? That's it? This feels weird?

He took his hands off my back and moved onto the next student.

What? I just feel cold now...

A few minutes later the aura he gave me settled throughout my body.

Um... I think he said to collect the energy around me as well? Whatever that means...

…

Nope, can't feel anything.

…

I was practically just sitting there with my eyes closed, I tried to understand what he meant when he said 'Collect the energy around you' but I had no clue what he was talking about.

If I was supposed to collect that coldness around me then wouldn't it help if I got rid of my warmth?

Hm...? Get rid of my warmth? Do I need to do that? What if the coldness just outmatched the warmth?

…

Eh... I'm so confused... How do I collect energy?

…

Suddenly a voice could be heard.

"That'll be it for this class today, starting next class you'll be running and exercising again. Practice your aura in your rooms."

Huh? That was the whole class? That was only like a couple minutes?

It was nearly dark out.

Eh?

I got up a little confused, did I fall asleep or something?

As I stood up it looked like some of the students next to me were confused as well.

I could overhear one of them talking to another.

"After his hot aura came into me... I couldn't get any more from around me..."

...Phrasing... I nearly collapsed after hearing his words... But he also couldn't collect the energy or anything?

"Me as well, his aura quickly dissipated and then I didn't feel anything else for the rest of the class."

Looks like it wasn't just me who couldn't gather anything after his aura left.

I stretched my arms wide and yawned.

"Kai! How'd it feel?"

It was Olly, he and Ella walked up to me.

I shrugged my shoulders, I didn't know if it had any effect, maybe it was just too little to feel.

"Hmm, did you have any problems?"

I decided to ask, no reason not to.

"How do you collect aura?"

"How do you collect aura? Um... You have to absorb it into your body."

Oh, really?

"You're making a face that says, 'Oh, really?'."

I shrugged my shoulders

"It's hard to explain, it's easier for you to just do it, I think."

...I didn't say anything, how would I do it if I didn't know how? Oh well, I was hungry.

Shrugging my shoulders, I looked at Ella who was just standing there looking like a cat.

I patted her head, before quickly stopping.

What came over me... I know she looked like a cat, but I just really pet someone's head...

Ella just tilted her head without changing her facial expressions.

We headed to lunch with no problems.

"Kai! Since you weren't here yesterday, I couldn't ask, but you really forgot how to use aura?"

It was Irene, everyone in our group was sitting and eating lunch already.

As I sat down, I nodded my head. Ella sat next to me.

"Huh? Forget?"

Olly interjected. Everyone looked confused

"Oh, I forgot, you guys don't know." Irene continued,

"Kai forgot how to use most if not all of his skills."

Looks like she wasn't going to say everything, which was fine with me.

Everyone looked at me with a shocked face,

"Wow... I mean, he clearly didn't forget how to fight, haha." Olly joked

Ella nodded her head.

"Oh yeah! Tell us about it Kai! We heard you demolished someone in your class? Even when they were using aura? How'd you do it?"

They all looked interested.

I mean it wasn't anything special, he didn't know how to fight, and I did, it was pretty much as simple as that. But I guess I could try to make the story interesting...
