Reviews of Under the Veil of Night

For those who like Flowers Bloom in the Battlefield done by Sorahana, the author for this novel some will like this one as well. What one has to note though is that it is completely different from the other novel and it took a while to adjust though the style is somewhat the same. Young balanced, super bright characters with a lot of stories to tell in the future, keeping in mind that this story is set in the "21st century" with the focus on high school, gangs, clans, government and community as well as those who are affected by it. Do it I like this novel - yes, but not as much as her other novel. I think one of the reason is that the pace is slooow which we were warned of by the authors. As such it can be frustrating for the reader who wants speed. Plus there are some aspects of it I cannot gravitate to, though I do like the camaraderie and friendship of the main characters. I have no problem recommending this story, however it is an acquired taste for the reader.

A must read book...This book is really good...I mean the plot, settings and characters are well thought as well as the development of the story. I'm so excited to know more about the female lead and how the romance will develop since as of the last chapter it's yet unclear how they feel with each other. So, i give this book a 5 stars since i was intrigue with this story and I can see the effort of the author. And ofcourse 5 stars also to the author for writing this wonderful book and the other book which is Flower blooms in the Battlefield I am a fun of that book as well. But how I wish the author will grant this humble reader's plea not to lock the chapter too early. Thanks..love2

I am in love with this novel, because it's story line is totally different from all the novels I have read before. The characters and their background is also different and kind of interesting. I keeps waiting for the update . I am really a loyal fan of this novel. Keep writing this novel dear author I will definately support this novel till it's end. Probably one of the most unappreciated or maybe undiscovered stories, which is sad because this story is intriguing and fun and different from a lot of the other stories offered. Definitely a must read!

I liked this novel. But I also found it severely underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the author - I came here after reading Flowers Bloom on the battlefield and path of the lilies (hidden gem if you haven't read it) and I was expecting another action-packed, plot-driven story. However, the pacing of under the veil of the night was incredibly slow in the beginning (I started this about 3 times) and I couldn't really immerse myself in the novel. Don't get me wrong, it was quite enjoyable and I loved the characters (particularly the actually realistic development of romance), but for a plot-line with such promise I was almost forcing myself to read it. I got through around 250 chapters of doing basically nothing in the Student Council Room, a bit of romance and a few gang fights (the premise of which was unrealistic), and to be honest it was not what I expected. And with the slow pacing, it was hard to distract from the grammatical errors, which were far more abundant than the author's other books, and the story became difficult to read. Overall, it was a nice story with some nice characters, but I don't think it lived up to the hype or met the same standard as the author's other stories.

If you've read the previous book written by this author 'flowers bloom from battlefield" then you'll know its a novel worth spending your precious spirit stones on..

This is a really good book for people that like slice of life series combineD with some actions and romance. But, its a little bit more like slice of unusual life story. Its really good except for the fact that the author uses the wrong words sometimes like the wrong tense or a completely different word. It doesnt sidtract me that much because my brain autocorrects it for me. In all this Book is a real gem

This is a great work of art, the writer is someone who knows how carry the readers along. You will just like to come for more, this book is somehow strange because of the background and at the same time intriguing. Just dont try it if you are not ready for good treat all through the book.

I love all sorahana novel. This author is the best. Her novel is always not cliche,strong female lead, and cool. This novel is my favourite .it not only focuse about love but it including the whole life of the mc. How kanae survive and i reall really love kanae.. This is the best novel for me. The romance is slow which is i like because i really hate it when the fl fall for the ml fastly.. Love to the author

It's one of the best story here in Webnovel! One of my favourites actually. I really like how Sorahana wrote the happenings in this story especially the happenings about each characters. How the author describe each details in each chapters. It really shows how the author wrote this story with so much effort. Hope that you'll read this because it is really worth your time!
