Chapter 10

*****Jax's POV*****

"So does she know she's marrying you yet?" Nico asks, as we unload the cars with our luggage.

The mansion here was always my favourite escape whenever I couldn't be bothered with the shit back in New York. It was modern but with Italian touches. The gardens were covered in trees and flowers and were neatly kept thanks to the garden staff. Not to mention the large pool, jacuzzis and outdoor bar and to top things off... my own father and none of the other wannabe gangsters knew where It was.

"Nah." I shrug, seeing Seth's car pull through the gates and up the driveway towards the house.

I decided it would be best for him to drive the hostages here after the flight since I was almost certain I would kill her if we were confined to a small space together again right after she slapped and then kissed me!

If she thinks she can manipulate me then she's playing with fire because I always have the upper hand...

"Wonder how that will go down then." Nico laughs, as I shoot him a look before we see the car doors open, revealing the tiny female and her bruised up friend as they both turn to gape at their surroundings.

"You, follow me... you will see him again soon." I point at her briefly, before turning and dragging our bags inside of the mansion - hearing her quick footsteps begin to follow behind me.

We enter the main doors, seeing some of my staff standing around as they greet us, before I begin to march up the marble staircase towards the master bedroom.

She follows me in silence, until I eventually reach the room, kicking open the door to reveal the large open plan suite that I was used to staying in.

I enter, tossing the cases and bags aside, before turning to see her standing by the door - mouth hanging open as she blinks around at the sight like a fish out of water.

"Done staring love?" I mock, gaining her attention as she turns to me and slowly walks inside.

"Is this where you sleep every time you come here?" She asks, approaching the bed and running her hand along the soft silk sheets as I nod briefly.

"It's where we will be sleeping princess so don't get too excited." I state bluntly, causing her to turn to face me in an instant.

"C-Can't... I have my own room? Or one with Mike at least? This place is surely big enough!" She questions in a whisper, causing my fists to clench involuntary.

"Fuck no! So that you can try to run off and waste my time needing to track you down?!" I grit, knowing all too well that she will take the first chance she gets to leave.

She blinks at me for a second, seeming to be deep in thought about something, before her unexpected words meet my ears-

"I don't want to run away..." She states almost instantly, as my eyebrows knit together with confusion now.

"What do you mean? I've dragged you around the world against your will and you tell me that you don't want to escape?" My hands loosen, as she stares around the room again in thought.

"Well all I have in my life is Michael... and you brought him here with me... and this is... well this is the nicest place I've ever stepped foot in... not to mention that I have always wanted to visit Italy too... so despite how scary you are... this sort of feels like a dream come true." She oddly concludes, before walking around the room, taking me off guard with how comfortable she was acting.

This needs to be a part of her scheme to leave... butter me up and then run when I least expect it...

"I wanted to slit your damn throat when you slapped me on the plane." I fold my arms across my chest and remind her, testing her for a reaction as she opens the door to the large bathroom - gawking at the sight.

"I know... I'm... I'm actually really sorry for doing that." She turns back to me, fiddling with her hands nervously at the memory.

Since the slap and the kiss, hours had now passed. Hours I'm sure she had spent catching up with her friend on the plane who had seemed to have calmed her down entirely.

My best idea yet was bringing him here to control her.

"Did it hurt? I'm sorry... I've never hit anyone before... I do actually feel really bad." She confesses, the evident guilt written across her features as she moves towards the balcony doors now to peer outside.

I had already done much worse to her...

"So you've never hit anyone and decide to pick me as your first victim?" I raise an eyebrow, as she turns back and watches me with concern.

"And for the record, no it didn't fucking hurt... it was just disrespectful... nobody hits me princess... so don't ever do that again." I state sternly, as she nods slowly in response.

"Do you... call me princess because you don't know my name?" She questions randomly, as I feel a smile tug at my lips as I practically scoff at the accusation.

"Your full name is Faye Woods... I know everything about you princess... I've already had you looked into." I shrug casually, as her mouth parts again.

"O-Oh..." Is all she can muster, as I fight back the urge to laugh at how dumb she looks.

She doesn't know the first thing about my world... and yet I plan on dragging her fully into it without question.

"Well then what's your name? You didn't tell me?" Faye asks after a moment of silence, as I now smirk at the question.

"My full name is Jaxon Gray, my friends call me Jax. You however, can call me sir." I state, watching her eyes widen.

My face remains stoic as she studies me for a sign of humour in my statement - finding none.

"Ok... well sir it is... if that floats your boat." She confirms with a shrug, muttering the last part under her breath, as I can't help but release the deep laugh I had been containing.

She practically jumps at the sound, not expecting the response, as she searches my appearance for what could be so funny.

"I was fucking joking... you can call me whatever you want as long as it doesn't piss me off." I try to compose myself, finding amusement in how compliant she was acting since the flight.

That was damn right a good sign for the bedroom too...

I shake my head, not wanting to think about fucking her right now... she was just a toy for me at the end of the day... sure there was an attraction... but I was attracted to most females so that wouldn't make her special.

She was only here to take the title of my wife, but that meant shit other than she would help keep away any unwanted female attention. I could still do whatever I wanted.

Is now the time to break the news to her?

"I brought you all the way here... because I actually need something from you." I state, taking a step towards her as her eyes grow wide.

"W-What?" Her familiar nerves creep back, as she tenses with the closer I got with each step.

"I need you to be good and do what I say." My voice goes lower, as I slowly back her up to the wall, caging her in.

Her breathing increases, as I stare down at her small frame - moving my hand to swipe a piece of her long brown tangled hair from her face.

"W-What do I have to do?" She asks nervously, as our body's press together - creating a comforting heat.

"I can give you and your friend a good life. I can buy you anything that you would ever want or need. I can provide protection to you both. If you do one thing for me... for business purposes only of course." I begin, as her breathing quickens with anticipation as her eyes search my own for clues.

I allow for my words to seep into her mind, evidently seeing how enticed she was by the offer. Although it was sad to admit, I knew that she had come from nothing, both of them did.

They worked like mad in that run down cafe and I was made aware that the Michael boy had plans to open a cafe in New York... but didn't have the funds yet.

"I can give your little friend Michael his cafe in New York... you both could work there if that's what you desire... then you can both come home to a nice apartment that looks over the whole of Central Park... go shopping whenever you want... you name it we can arrange it princess." I continue, as her large dark eyes search my face for any sign of a lie.

She breathes out warily, pondering my words in her mind for a moment.

I knew the offer was undeniable, especially for people like them... which made her perfect for my plan... she would do what I want, when I want, and In return get to live a life of luxury...

"Do you mean it? and you won't just force me to stay inside all of the time with bars on the windows? I can go out places with Michael and have my freedom too? He's always wanted that store..." She trails off in thought, contemplating the offer.

"I mean it. With trust that is. You need to stick to your end of the bargain... and if you don't, I'll hunt you both down and we will kill you both for wasting my time." I stare dead into her eyes, meaning every word I say as she gulps and nods slowly.

"So... so what do I have to do? What's my end of the bargain?" She asks nervously, as I run a hand down her waist.

"Marry me."
