Chapter 19

Angel was all for the visit. He figured that this would settle everything once and for all, and that his life would get back to normal. It was too exhausting to keep fighting with him on this, so I just stayed quiet.

Before we got in the car, I offered up the front seat to Angel. One, because I wanted to do as little talking as possible, and two, I wanted to examine him while we drove over. I figured that it would be easier to accomplish this from the back.

Angel seemed to have a working knowledge of some aspects of my life, yet there was still a lot that he was discovering for the first time. He was aware of Carmen, my parents and a few other tidbits, but outside of me, he didn’t have a clue.
