A/N Chapter 17: The Meeting

I was walking through the halls with John beside me, he was holding his test papers from math class.

"Hey Crystal what grade did you get?"

"A perfect score of course," I said with a big grin on my face. John gave me a surprised and sad look.

"Awww no fair, why do you and Sera have to be so smart!" I just giggled softly at John's statement. We then continued chatting as we walked through the crowded hallways.

"Hey John, Sera and I went to get some boba yesterday you should've joined-" I was suddenly cut off when John accidentally bumps into Arlo. It's as if time stopped, John and Arlo glared at each other as Arlo's friend and I just stood there watching them. "oh no, this won't end well" I thought to myself as I could feel their hatred radiating off from both of them. Then suddenly the blue-haired guy started shouting and grabbed the back of John's shirt.

"HEY, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? Didn't you learn your lesson from the last time? looks like I have to-" Before I was able to stop him from hitting John, Arlo grabbed the guy's wrist which surprised all of us even the student's who passed by us.

"Don't"

"AH!"

"Touch him"

"A-Arlo? what are you-?" As he said that Arlo started crushing his wrist enough to leave a bruise.

"Aren't you done yet? You are one of the strongest here, right? your powerful, aren't you? Then why don't you do something productive? Instead of wasting your time flexing, in front of this useless human?" I swore I saw Arlo glance at John who was glaring at him. But hey I'll just ask him about it later.

John then grabbed my arm and lead me away from Arlo and the drama. While being dragged by John, in the corner of my eye I saw a familiar orange-haired pervert. We locked eyes for a second before he realized I saw him, he then hid back in his corner mentally panicking at the fact that you saw him snooping around other people's business. John let go of me as soon as we arrived at the front of the school gates.

"Hey John, about a while a-" he cut me off

"Hey Crystal wanna go see Sera?" He turned to face me

"Umm Sure?"

We began walking towards his house, it was completely silent for a while but then someone spoke.

"Hey, That orange-haired guy a while ago is such a weird guy," A little voice said in my head as we continued walking, John being ahead of me. It caught me a little off guard but I just went with it.

"Who are you?" I said in my mind, genuinely curious to see who was the voice in my head.

"Oh, my name's Celeste and I'm the little voice in your head," she said as I then started remembering something from my past.

I giggled at the many butterflies I saw as I ran through the field filled with different kinds of flowers then a familiar voice in my head spoke.

"Hey Christy slow down, you don't wanna fall over," Celeste said as I slowed down getting kind of tired from running around for the past hour.

"Okay," I said to her as I noticed a sunflower on the ground, then an idea popped up in my mind. I started picking different kinds of flowers.

"What are you doing Christy?" asked a curious Celeste

"You'll just have to wait and see," I said with a bright smile on my face as I continued picking some flowers. After I finished I then ran back to my house, excited to put my plan into action. I opened the front door and closed it, I then looked around to make sure there's no one in sight and dashed up to my room. I entered my room and placed all of the flowers I collected on the floor and closed the door. I opened my drawer and took out some vine wires which I used for a school project before, then I started. I placed the flowers on the vine wire and added some other accessories to it, making it look more appealing. After a few more minutes of fixing it up, I finally finished.

"And voila," I said as I held it in front of me

"Wow! That looks so pretty!" Celeste said as I giggled at her compliment.

"I'm gonna give it to Mommy," I said as I started going down the stairs looking for my mom. After looking around I then saw her sitting down on a chair looking out the window. I ran over to her hiding the gift I made behind my back.

"Mommy! I said getting her attention, she turned her head and smiled at me.

"Hey sweetheart," she said as she stood up from her seat and bent down to my level.

"Here! I made this for you!" I said as I showed the flower crown I made earlier with a smile on my face. She looked surprised and at the same time happy, she then picked me up and held me in her arms. I then took this opportunity to place the flower crown I made on her head, adjusting it and making sure it won't fall off.

"Thank you, sweetheart," she said as she placed a kiss on my forehead. I just hugged her and laid my head on her chest.

"I love you, Christy," She said

"I love you too," I said as we watched the sun began to set.

"Crystal !" I snapped back to reality and see John waving his hand in front of my face and a worried expression on his face.

"Are you okay Crystal, you zoned out for a second? "

" Oh sorry John, I just remembered something that all " I smiled at him. I then just realized where we were, we were already in front of John's house!? I said in my mind, then Celeste spoke.

"Well you did zone out for quite a while," she said, I just sighed at her remark then turned to John as he spoke.

"Come on, we can't keep Sera wait right?" And with that being said we walked over to the front door and opened it. I was about to enter behind John when suddenly he screamed.

"What the f--?"

"John! Welcome, Home!" The guy said as I emerged from behind John and I was able to get a good look at this guy. He had the same helmet hairstyle John had before and we looked exactly like John. The guy who I assumed was John's father turned to look at me and gave me a surprised look and said.

"HA!? Another one?" He said

"Dad! What are you doing here?!" John said getting his father's attention.

"What, I can't visit my own son?" The guy said while raising an eyebrow.

"You could've at least told me ahead of time!"

" Huh? How? You hung up on me last week, and ignored all my calls afterward." While he said that I heard Sera faintly saying " Ooh Busted! " Which made me giggle a little. The guy noticed it and walked towards me with a smile on his face, "he does look like John but older" I thought as he stood in front of me.

"You must be Crystal! It's great to finally meet you!" He held up his hand in front of me for a handshake. I took his hand and shook it.

"Likewise mister?"

"Please, call me William!"

"Alright, Nice to meet you, William," I said with a small smile on my face. But before we could continue talking, John butted in, while looking at Sera and me

" Hey Sera, Crystal...could you give us a minute." He said while placing his hand on his father's shoulder.

"Huh?" William said

"Sure it looks like you'll need it," I said before they walked out of the house leaving Sera and me. I walked over to the couch then placed my bag down as Sera took out her phone and sat on the other side of the couch, I sat beside her then asked her a question.

"Hey Sera seems like they'll have a long chat huh"

"Yeah seems like it," she said, as she played her favorite game on her phone but then a thought came to her head which made her curious.

"Hey Crystal "

"Yeah? What's up?"

"Before you guys arrived, William asked me a question which made me confused." I turned to her and gave her a confused look.

" What do you mean a question?"

" He just asked me "of the two of you...who is stronger" I looked at her more confused.

"Why would he ask that? John's a cripple right, so why ask? " Sera looked up from her phone and looked at me.

" I'm not sure" was all she said before we brushed off the conversation about it then we started talking about other things to pass the time. But the question still lingered in my mind. This is getting more and more confusing, I thought as Sera was telling me something.
