Senior Daoist Hunchbacked Titan Part One

Deep inside the forest, a intangible wave of spirit qi spreads around its area which also produced a strong but fresh breeze. The spirit beasts who notice the qi that passed by went towards the middle of where it came from, joyful expressions can be seen on their faces as they howled in awe, one by one bowing towards a figure covered in blinding light.

"This is a surprise, I didn't expect that someone will come so soon"

A hoarse voice is heard from the figure inside the light which made the surrounding space tremble as if synchronizing with the voice. The blinding light that's covering the figure slowly fades away into qi particles as a wizened hunchbacked old man wearing white robes and held unto his one hand is a 5 meter brown ordinary staff that reaches his height.

Seeing the old man appear, the spirit beasts howls continued but in a more joyful manner. Even flood dragons, griffins, chimeras and all kinds of rare spirit beasts that are considered legends or even unheard of on the continent are all circling around him as if they just considered as his pets.

Meanwhile, the old man looked towards a certain direction hundreds of kilometers away and saw a young man wearing tattered clothes walking away from a mantis he just killed.

"What? Why doesn't he use his comprehension on space dao? Even if he's only at the infant stage, he could at least teleport around freely" The old man said with a confused expression on his face, knowing that only those who are at the minimum of infant/first stage in comprehending the dao of space can enter the forest. Since he didn't see the young man used any skills related to space, he assumed that he was in infant stage.

However, later on, he raised his eyebrows in realization as he remembered that the young man came from this continent where space dao barely even exist. "It's probably because the kid only learned it through lucky encounters since only those at Establishing Dao Realm can start learning any kind of dao. Still, it's already amazing to see someone who can comprehend space dao in this shitty place, the gods must have favored him quite a lot."

He nodded to himself saying this. Yet he sentimentally sighed afterwards as he remembered his current predicament and the past events which caused it.

'I can only hope that this kid can help me since I have no one else to choose. I've waited for millions of years, there's no harm training him for a few years. I'll observe him for now to see what he's capable of.'

An opening in space appeared by itself naturally without the old man even moving, he closed his eyes as he let himself be absorbed. The spirit beasts went back to their own unknown places as the old man vanished.

'I wonder why I can hardly use my comprehension of space here. It feels very heavy when I use it'

As Huang Fu is walking forward, he kept trying to control space but he feels that it's suppressing him, as if carrying tons of weight. Despite that, he can still clearly sense the abundant space dao within the forest and use it to improve his comprehension on it.

Behind him is the corpse of the mantis left behind with the monster core missing from it which he placed inside his ring. Even if he can't use his comprehension on space, not to mention the mantis, he can easily destroy anyone with a peak nascent soul because of his cultivation that already surpassed heaven grade which is beyond the knowledge of this continent.

While he was also moving forward, he also noticed that every material which can be seen here in the forest are much tougher than the ones outside even though they have pretty much the same appearance. He can demolish trees and boulders outside the forest with just a wave his hand to release a very small amount of spirit qi while he needs to punch them here using his 20 percent strength.

As he was busy pondering, the ground shook in unison with the sounds of heavy footsteps heading towards his direction. He then sensed large groups of spirit beasts that are leaking their own spirit qi whose cultivation levels are ranging from nascent souls to even someone above saint realm...

"So many of them! They must have sensed the spirit qi I released to kill that mantis, that was careless of me. I can't confront them now when I can't even use my dao" Huang exclaimed.

Without hesitation, he then turned behind him and ran as fast as he can disregarding where he's heading towards as long as he can escape from them.

"I succeeded to make him head towards the middle of the forest. Even though this spirit beasts are useless most of the time, they still have their moments."

Within the void, the hunchbacked old man nodded to himself as he watched Huang Fu ran to where he wants him to. He then lightly waved his sleeves towards that direction, summoning a thick fog which covered a whole kilometer surrounding the center of the forest.

Huang Fu was startled as he saw the thick fog that abruptly showed up in front of him, he thought of going back but as he turned around, he saw hundreds of spirit beasts which forced him to jump right into the fog.

Going into the fog, since he can barely what's happening one meter around him, he waved his hand to release spirit qi in an attempt to remove the fog that's block his vision, only for the fog to not even budge,

'As expected, someone planned this' He sighed as he thought of the series of 'coincidences' that happened awhile ago. Spirit beasts suddenly chasing him that blocked all paths except this way and fog appearing out of nowhere on the only path where he can go.

Even by the time he came inside the forest, he already felt that someone was watching him using his sensitivity on space, but he didn't dare to alert the other party since he can't even sense his/her cultivation. He also tried to go out the forest only to be blocked by a formation barrier.

The only reassuring thing for Huang Fu is that since the other party didn't kill him for so long, he/she obviously have other plans for him. Without any other choice, he continued moving forward, hoping to not be killed in the end.
