Chapter 35: Grand Demon Hegemony

The inheritance went on without a problem, and Tian Cai is now explaining to Ulquiorra the benefits of the pearl that was the artifact formerly embedded on the sect throne. It was the artifact that was connected with the mark on Ulquiorra's hand, and Tian Cai gave it to Ulquiorra as it was part of the inheritance. He explained that the pearl was a special artifact with spacial capabilities. It was able to house spirits, people, and even the central building of the sect.

"With this artifact, I and the other phantoms would be able to accompany you all throughout your journey. This would help when you require something from us." Tian Cai said.

Ulquiorra didn't reply. He scrutinized the regular looking pearl. He did feel that he had a connection to it. Just like the spacial ring, he could choose what to bring in or out. Tian Cai didn't probe for a reply.

"In any case, you should probably put myself and the central building within the pearl along with the phantoms. The library is also within the central building so you don't have to worry. Merely will for it to happen, and the pearl will respond." Tian Cai said.

Hearing this, Ulquiorra used his connection with the pearl, and with a mere thought, Tian Cai and the central building vanished. He could feel them within the pearl. Ulquiorra could already sense the immense usability of this artifact.

"Ulquiorra?" A voice sounded out.

Ulquiorra turned to look, and found Wang Yang looking at him dumbly. Surveying the surroundings, he found out that he was on the place where the central building was formerly laid upon. Right now, it was only an empty lot.

"What happened? Wait...you're in the fourth foundation stage already?!" Wang Yang said before scratching the back of his head as he laughed.

"Well, it is you so I shouldn't be surprised." Wang Yang continued.

Ulquiorra didn't reply. From his time while increasing his realm, Tian Cai and Feng Zhong mentioned that even though there was a slight difference in feeling, unless one scrutinized really carefully or was especially perceptive, then his realm would be sensed as the Foundation Establishment realm. The two couldn't explain why, and simply said that maybe it's due to the dao.

"Ah!" Wang Yang exclaimed.

"Where's Yan Fei??" Wang Yang asked.

(AN:I know you guys hate her, but give her a chance HAHAHAH)

Suddenly a voice resounded out in Ulquiorra's head.

"Ah, does he mean that short haired girl with you? She should be unconscious somewhere in one of the trials." Tian Cai said within Ulquiorra's consciousness.

'Telepathy?' Ulquiorra said within his mind.

"You could call it that. It's only possible using the pearl and its connection within you though. I also can't do it if you and the pearl are too far from each other, and I am inside it." Tian Cai replied.

Ulquiorra mentally took note of this. He then tried to put the pearl within his storage ring, but failed to do so. In the end, Ulquiorra hid it somewhere within his robes.

"Leave the woman. It is not our responsibility to protect her." Ulquiorra said as he walked away going out of the sect. He wished to explore more of the realm. There might be something else that would aid in his cultivation.

"But!" Wang Yang exclaimed, but Ulquiorra eyed him with a cold gaze that shut him up.

In the end, Wang Yang followed Ulquiorra as they went out the sect. Tian Cai mentioned that there should be an ancient storage facility somewhere in the realm. As for other things in the various building left in the abandoned sect, Tian Cai said that there was nothing of importance as the important stuff was moved to the central building.

Ulquiorra moved through the various trees and forests followed by Wang Yang. Ulquiorra didn't speed up too much as to not leave Wang Yang behind. Still, Wang Yang exerted tremendous effort to follow Ulquiorra. All beasts that stood in their way perished. As for other disciples, they didn't see anyone else. Soon, they found a gate that radiated a menacing pressure.

"This is it. This is where the remains of the sect that caused the Heavenly Dragon to fall from grace. It took us almost all our power to get rid of them, and in return, we lost most of our elders and disciples." Tian Cai said in a somber tone using telepathy.

"The name of the dreaded sect is the Grand Demon Hegemony. They were a sect that practiced demonic arts that utilized absorbing the blood and life from their foes. After annihilating them thousands of years ago after the founder ascended, we put their treasures beyond this gate where a branch of their sect previously laid. Despite being a demonic sect, they did hoard some treasures that might prove useful." Tian Cai continued.

"Put your hand on the doors, and activate your mark. You should be able to unlock the doors." Tian Cai said.

Ulquiorra raised his hand to put on the doors, but he stopped.

"Hng?What's the matter?" Tian Cai said with telepathy.

"This door..." Ulquiorra spoke out before pushing the doors.

The doors creaked open.

"It's already been unlocked."
