"Yessir, if you keep on going and make a sharp left turn, you'll find yourself at the start of the Old World", I spoke sweetly. It did not take much effort to smile, because now Louis owes me.

This gentleman stepped into our humble apothecary shop, not to pick up anything, but to ask how he could get towards out. Our town never saw a single traveler but for a fortnight, there have been a surge of a pristinely dressed population looking to get to the outside.

"My name is Violet, is there anything else I could interest you in this evening", I pushed. I wanted to take advantage due to the opportunities that have arisen lately.

"Violet, mind your phrasing" Louis spoke under her breath as she rushed forward to distract the last chance of the day to top off our income. "Sir, I would love to show you around. Surely there is something that ails you that we would have a solution for?"

Once Louis stole the spot light, I stepped through the side door, ensured the coal was still boiling under the water, and followed the right path to the threshold to the outdoor space to be with the best companions in the village.

"Crumb, do you think Louis took over in hopes he would tip her? That way she could bribe her way out of our deal", I posed the question slowly and lightly so that he would chew it over.

Loudly, Crumb snorted at me while I stared, "You're right, maybe asking a goat isn't the best way to get validation."

"You're telling me.."

My eyes widened as I shot up. I turned from Crumb to find Louis standing behind me, clutching he chest, tears in her eyes. "LOUIS, this is a private conversation!"

"I.. I..", gasped Louis as she was finally doubling over, allowing her crashing laughter out at me.

I turned to Crumb as shrugged and tried to will my blushes from my cheeks.

"Let's not get distracted.. did we do it?"

Louis straightened up and smoothed her skirt. "I believe we did", she attempted a sober tone while also not giving anything away.

"HA!!" I began skipping around the small clearing behind our home. It felt as though the birds were singing with me.

"Yes, yes, we will go tomorrow. You can pick and name them."

"Their names will be Sir and Ma'am", I squealed out.
