You're the Reason Why

'Deku' turned from facing Bakugou and punched All Might. All Might who's caught off guard got punched square in the face. He fly all the way to the exit.

'Deku' look at his hands. Although he's strong, his power is limited as his quirk is sealed. His hand is trembling just from that one punch. He clenched his fist and turn to Bakugou. He slowly walk towards him. He smiled, but the smile never reaches his eyes.

"How dare you apologize now?" he said.

'Deku' arrives in front of Bakugou. Bakugou look at Deku with straight face. 'Deku' grab Bakugou's neck and hold him in the air. Bakugou didn't even try to resist even when 'Deku' is choking him. Instead, he keeps on repeating the same words again and again.

"I'm... sorry."

"SHUT UP!"

BOOM!

He slammed Bakugou to the ground. Debris is flying everywhere. Even when Bakugou spits out blood, he still keep on repeating the same word like a parrot.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up!"

Boom! -Boom! -Boom!

"After all that you did to my brother, don't you dare think that you still had the right to apologize!" Deku shouted.

But then, the banging stop. Deku's hands are trembling, his eyes are flickering and changing colour.

"Ugh!"

Deku holds his head. The hair colour keeps changing more and more. The colours are like fighting for dominance. Just then, All Might came back.

"That's enough, Midoriya Izuku."

He then knock Deku out by hitting the back of his neck. Deku falls forward, his hair rapidly changed back to the lush green colour. Both Deku and Bakugou are out. All Might look at both of his students before turning to class 1-A.

"All of you can go back to class. I'll take both of them to the infirmary." All Might said and proceed to pick up both Deku and Bakugou and put them on his shoulder. He walks toward the exit.

"Are they going to be fine?" A voice came out from the class. They sound worried. All Might stop walking and put on his grinning face. He turn back to the students.

"They will." Then he left and went to the infirmary.

"Why did you stop me?" Izumi questioned Izuku with an angry face. Izuku stared at him seriously.

"Exactly. Why do you have to go out and make such a fuss?" Izuku question him back.

"Because he apologized!"

"And what's so bad about that?"

Izumi scoffed.

"Oh please. Even if I didn't come out, you're the one who would go crazy, Am I right?" Izumi retorted. Izuku was silent.

"Why did you get angry? I'm the one who got bullied, not you." Izuku asked. Izumi stare at Izuku like he can't believe what he's hearing.

"It's cause you're my brother!"

"Don't fuck with me! You're the number one reason I'm so miserable! If anything, Kacchan only added salt to the wound!"

Izuku lash out. His eyes are filled with hate.

Izumi was stunned.

His whole life, he'd never seen Izuku got angry for real. It was the first time, for him and Izuku.

"If only you listened to me once! Just once!" Izuku continued to shout. Izumi stared at Izuku with confused face.

"I might not hate Kacchan that much! I even might become a hero! My life is ruined because of you!"

Izuku shouted until tears run down his face. Even Izumi, who Izuku never seen crying ever since he first realize his existence, cried without a sound. He just quietly stare at Izuku until Izuku got tired shouting.

Ah.

Izuku realize his mistake.

'I'm becoming similar to Kacchan.'

He quickly look forward to his brother with a sorry face full of tears.

"I-I'm sorry. I-I shouldn't *sniff* say that." Izuku quickly apologize. He's seriously sorry. Izumi laughed seeing his little brother. He stepped to the front and patted Izuku's head.

"Even after all that, you still are such a kind hearted child." Izumi stared at Izuku softly.

Izumi hesitated for a while before asking.

"Do you want to know... why I'm like this?"

A man is seen standing on a pile of corpse in the dark alley. He breathes out and reach for his earpiece.

"The target is taken care of. There are some hindrance, but nothing too serious." he said. The man on the other side replied.

"Good job. There's no other mission I need you to take care of. Go back home and take a rest." then the line cut off.

The man inspects his clothes. There are some bloodstains, but it's not too obvious as he's wearing black at the moment. He got out of the alley after confirming there's no one nearby.

He reach the road then waited for a taxi to come. When a taxi arrive, he gets in.

The man stops moving. He turn to look at the taxi driver. Or maybe the one who stabbed him.

"The boss do not want you alive. He said you know too much."

Then he push the man out and drive the car away.

Some people who's also waiting for taxi saw him getting pushed out of the taxi. They want to ask him what's wrong, until they saw a knife sticking out and blood leaking.

"Kyaa!" one of them screamed. Some of them tried to call the ambulance.

The man didn't pay any attention to them. The pain is too much. Just then, he saw his life flashing before his eyes.

'Ahh... this must be karma...' the man thought.

He thinks about all the people he's killed before. He can't count them as there's too many. He felt guilty to all of them. As he recounts back all of them, he become determined.

'If there's a next life... I hope I'm reborn as someone who helps people...'

The man open his eyes. No, he don't even know if he opened his eyes or not. Everything was pitch black. He tried to move his hands, but he can't feel anything. It was the same for all his limbs. He fell into panic. He recalled back what happened before.

Ahh... I died.

So is this the afterlife?

The man tried to look around, but there's nothing. At this point, he don't even know if he has a body or not.

He waited and waited. He thought if he continues waiting, there would be some angel or maybe a reaper to come pick him up.

But there's none.

So he waited again. He patiently waited for a long time. Hours turn to days, days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months, months turn to years.

Years turn to decades, and finally, the man can't take it anymore. He slowly grows crazy from the long wait.

When he lose his hopes, he stopped thinking and let his consciousness drift away.

And when he regained his consciousness, he's already inside a woman's womb becoming a fetus. And beside him, there's another fetus, sleeping soundly.
