Resonance

"Do you want to see your mother?"

Utter silence.

After Nezu's question, Deku didn't say a word for a few minutes as they stared at each other. Deku sighed and looked down.

"You informed her already I see."

Deku kept quiet for a few moment before opening his mouth.

"... I'll inform him first."

"No."

A firm answer came out of Izumi's mouth. Izuku who just arrived, stare at him, dumbfounded.

"But-"

"No."

Izuku start getting irritated.

"Would you listen?"

"No. Get out."

Izuku ignored him and continued.

"Maybe it won't be as bad as you thought it would."

Izumi scoffed.

"I let you read my memory, so you know why I'm like this."

Izuku hold his head and sighed.

"Yeah, that's why I want to see her. You can confront her about it too."

Izumi look at Izuku indifferently.

"Be honest. You just wants to see her, right?"

Izuku looks away hearing Izumi's question. He scratch his cheek while grinning.

"Well, it's been a while so..."

Izumi stared at Izuku blankly.

Izuku clasped his hands and look at Izumi with puppy eyes.

"Please?"

Even if his brother is hard headed, Izuku knows he has a soft spot for him.

Izumi stared at Izuku for a while. He groaned before nodding his head defeatedly.

"I can do whatever I want then, right?"

"No. I don't wanna get knocked out like before. Instead! Please behave yourself."

Izumi look at Izuku with a dissatisfied expression. But looking at Izuku's eyes, he knows there's no negotiating for this. He sighed and nodded dejectedly.

Deku opened his eyes and saw Nezu and All Might still staring at him. He got up and face them.

"He agreed. But when he appears later, please just watch him and don't attack immediately. You can knock me out when he seems out of control." Deku said. Nezu nodded in understanding.

"All right. You can meet her tomorrow. Return to your dorm and rest."

Deku nodded and proceed to leave the infirmary.

Nezu and All Might watch as Deku leave through the door. All Might opened his mouth.

"Do you believe him?"

"I'll be lying if I say I trust him."

Nezu answered without taking his eyes away from the door. All Might watch Nezu from the corner from his eyes.

"I see."

"Guys! I'm back!"

All of the students that was discussing something in the living room turn their head at the voice. Their face brightened.

"Deku!"

A few of them tried to jump on him, but Deku evaded them with ease.

As they ask him about how he's feeling, or if he's sick, a sparkling boy slowly approached Deku.

Deku who realized his presence, excuse himself from the others and approaches Aoyama. Aoyama opens his mouth first.

"Deku, we need to talk."

They stared at each other for a few moment, then Deku's face brightened as he replied.

"Sure! Come to my room!"

Deku drag Aoyama to his room. They entered the room as Deku locks the door.

The look in Deku's eye changed. He stared at Aoyama.

"Did All for One say anything?"

Aoyama look at him and talk in a normal voice.

"He told me to watch over you, and he has a message."

Aoyama said as he take out a card and pass it to Deku. Deku read the code engraved on the card.

After he read it, he smiled and put it in his pocket.

"I see. Thank you Aoyama! You can go back now."

Aoyama bowed and walk to the door. Deku watch Aoyama leave. He throws himself on the bed while laughing loudly.

{Is he crazy?}

"What the heck?!?"

Deku jumps in surprise. He look around him but he didn't find anyone. Wait, that voice sounds familiar.

"Izumi?!? How can you talk?"

{I'm shocked too you brat. I'm just talking to myself when you suddenly jumps. Anyway, I think you can just talk in your head like me. People would think you're crazy.}

[Like this?]

{Yeah like that.}

Deku flopped back down on his bed.

[What is this... This never happened before.]

Deku clutched his head. His head hurts. Izumi that was inside him is dizzy too.

{Maybe this is the result of All for One's doing? You remember when I was out of control?}

[Yeah. You went batshit crazy then. You're only a little calm right now cause you're affected by me.]

Suddenly, Deku's eyes widen in realization.

[Don't tell me-]

{It looks like we're becoming one. Which means-}

[You'll disappear one day.]

Deku frowned when he came to that conclusion. His head is a mess. He sigh loudly in frustration.

[I'm pretty sure All for One said it'll be a long time before it happens. He said it at least takes a few years!]

{Maybe it differ each person. Also, the only one who experienced this is us and All for One himself. The fact that you're becoming more irritable is apparent too.}

[Like you?]

{I did got calmer these days.}

Deku groaned and sit on his bed. He ruffled his hair, becoming a mess.

[Then we have to find Hisashi faster.]

{...}

[What?]

There's a long silence from the other side before Izumi spoke.

{You called father by his name.}

[And why are you calling him father?]

{How would I know?}

[This is driving me crazy.]

Deku close his eyes and falls back. He turn his head to the side. He was facing the mirror. He open his eyes after he calmed down a little. But he was in for a shock.

He quickly arise and run to the mirror. He holds his face with an expression that says he can't believe it.

[Hey, you saw it too, right?]

{...Yeah.}

In the mirror, Deku can see little strands of white hair at the end of his hair.

[I'm too stressed out that I'm getting gray hair!]

Deku clutched his head with a horrified face. Izumi hopes he can get out and slap the back of Deku's head.

{Looks like you inherited my dumbness too.}

[You admitted that you're dumb?]

{Shut up.}
