Hey betty " I turn back to see Shawn, his face lit up in a wide grin, I smiled and walked up to him.

" Shawn " I said

" I haven't seen you since Monday and you weren't in school yesterday too. Cole said you called in sick " he said

" Yeah I wasn't really feeling okay yesterday " I said

" So how do you feel now?. you actually look pale " he said touching my face.

" I'm fine now don't worry. " I said and then touch his hand

" If you want to I can cancel Friday plans so you can rest well " he said frowning

" Stop acting like an over protective elder brother, it doesn't suit you. I will see you on Friday night after school. " I said giving him a smile.

" Okay then. so where are you headed ? " he asked

" I'm going to the gym now. I have a class there. " I said and he nodded.

" I'm headed to swimming class now. the opposite direction " he said

" That's okay. " I said and then he waved me a goodbye before he he started leaving.

" I haven't seen cheryl for some days now " I said.

" You know Cheryl ? " he asked with surprise

" Yes I do, she is actually a friend of mine. " I said

" Oh okay. she is in the hospital " he stated

" Why ? " I asked in awe.. " is she okay ?. " I asked again.

" You guys must be really close with the way you are acting " he said and smiled.

" She is very fine. it's her mum that is hospitalized now " he said.

That must be why he hasn't been in school for a while, is that why he left Saturday night when we saw

How stupid of me, I didn't ask him why he hasn't been in school.

" okay thank you. I have to get to class now " I said and then left him on the spot.

I hurriedly made my way to the girls bathroom before searching for my phone in my school bag, I texted Adam

Hey, I heard from Shawn about your mum. I'm sorry if I'm crossing the line but how is she?. Are you okay ?

I waited for his reply for some minutes but he did answer

Oh, it's nothing actually, she is getting better now thanks for checking up on me. And no you are not crossing the line. We are friends remember.

The fact that he called me a friend made me both happy and sad. I had thought that the few days we had spent together had made us more than just friends and that makes me sad but hearing him call me his friend also means that he isn't mad at me anymore. he has forgiven me for raising my voice at him and saying mean words that night. I actually didn't mean any of it, it was just the alcohol talking.

Yeah we are friends, it's good to hear that she is getting better. How is Cheryl doing ?

He replied

She is okay but isn't here at the moment, she we t with mum to do her tests.

I texted him back

Can you tell her that I asked about her when she gets back. I really want to know how she is doing.

He texted back

I will I promise, don't worrying yourself too much, we are fine.

I replied

Okay, but are you really fine ?

That's a stupid line, I really shouldn't be asking him stupid things.

He replied

I am surviving aren't I?. And the fact that you are worried about me is actually making me feel much better. Thanks Betty.

Betty?. He doesn't call me Betty.

I replied him

You don't call me Betty. Why now?.

He replied

Your friends call you Betty don't they?. I thought I'd call you that too, did I make a mistake ?

I replied

No no no, gosh no you didn't. I am fine with Betty too but Its just that I actually like it when you call me Elizabeth because no one really calls me that except you.

He replied

Oh.. then thank you for worrying about me Elizabeth ?

I texted him

Lol I am happy now that I know you are okay, I need to her to class.

He replied

You left class for me?

I replied him

I just wanted to know how you were doing, it was more important at that moment

It took him seconds to reply back

Thank you Elizabeth, you are more than a friend ?

I am more than a friend???. I really want to tell out loud right now. I am more than a friend to Adam

He replied

Yeah about that, I was thinking, do you maybe want to hang out after we practice?. It's cool if you don't want to, you know if you have plans, u don't intrude on it.

Hehe, he is cute when he blabs but wait, is he doing what I think he is doing?

No I do not have any important thing planned, I'm free so I would love to hang out with you Saturday night.

He replied

It's a date then ?

He replied

It depends, will you go out on a date with me?

Oh my God,shoot me, my heart just stopped right now. Adam asked me out on a date. on a fucking date I wanna yell out right now

I put my phone into my bag quickly before leaving the ladies bathroom for the field for gym class because I'm already so late. and coach doesn't take lateness lightly with us, I just really hope I don't get detention.

I quickly changed into my P.E wear before hurrying to the field to catch up with the others. good thing coach was on his phone when I got there or I could have been in big trouble

As I did the warm ups with everyone else, the only thing on my mind was adam and the date.. wow I scored a date with the boy I liked. maybe, just maybe he also liked me back.

" What is making you so happy and don't you look good " Cole said as I sat down during lunch with he and Alex.

Yes I'm putting on blue shorts and a black lacey top and no I didn't pick these clothes for myself, the culprit herself is sitting down smiling devilishly

" Thanks, you are added to the list of people that told me that today " I said and opened the juice box on my tray.

" So what happened ? " Alex asked me, a smirk on her face

" Well nothing much except my study meeting just turned into a date " I said with a smile, trying my best not to blush.

" Oh I see Adam finally grew the balls to ask you out " Cole said

" What do you mean ? " I asked him

" You didn't hear anything from me so just continue your lunch. I'm happy you have a date " he said and Alex glared at him. I stared at the both of them, they are like sly rats, I'm sure they are hiding something.

" Finally I get to prepare you for two dates " Alex yelled out.

" Two dates ? " he asked us

" Yeah Shawn asked her out too. she has a date with Shawn tomorrow and Adam on Saturday. " she said.

" Shawn asked you out too?. oh wow, they are both taking all the chances they get " he said and chuckled

" Again I don't understand you " I said again but he just smiled before getting up.

"Where are you going babe ? " Alex asked him pouting her lips.

" I have practice now, basket ball practice so I have to go " he said and pecked her lips .

" Gross " I whispered and they both laughed.

" See you later Betty, make the right choice this week " he said

" okay " I said and stared at him oddly, okay he is being pretty weird now.

" Bye baby " alex said. he winked at her before leaving our table for his basket ball practice.

" You " alex turned to me as soon as Cole was out of sight. " is that all that happened ? " she asked

" Yes, I swear I didn't act like a love struck puppy, he just simply asked me out because he wanted to I guess. " I said and smiled.

" Oh my God oh my God oh my god!!!!!! " she yelled out,causing us to get many death glares again.

" Stop telling would you " I said trying to shut her up

" Wow we have alot to do again. we aren't going to the mall after school " she said and picked up her bag.

" We went to the mall yesterday " I whined and got up too grabbing my school bag off the ground.

" Do you want a boyfriend or not ? " she asked.

" Maybe " I murmured.

" Then let's get to work " she said

" But I haven't even touched my lunch yet " I whined again.

" Do you want to get fat ? " she asked

" You are just overreacting " I said and rolled my eyes

" Lets go " she muttered and I followed her before we finally left the lunch room for our next class, we had french class now, good thing we have it together so I don't have to worry about texting her sorry ass in class. we'd probably get detention because I know she won't still blabbing about the date.

" Why are you walking so slow " she yelled and I hurriedly move to her side before giving her a wide smile and she smiled back at me.

" Why do we have to ride with him ? " I asked Alex as I pointed to Raphael who was smirking at me

" Because he has a ride and we don't have one " she said

" Good point but where is your car ? " I asked her.

" Mum took it this morning because her car broke down so she wouldn't be late for work " she said.

" But you can just drive his car why did he have to come " I said frowning.

" I'm right here and I'd be so happy if you guys want to walk home. " he said holding the steering wheel.

" I don't want to walk home Betty. besides we need him to drive us to the mall " she said pouting

" You guys went to the mall yesterday. didn't you get enough clothes yesterday ? " he asked in horror, I chuckled.

" Too much questions. lets just go will you " she said and entered the car, I entered too and then shut the door after myself.

" seatbelt ladies " Raphael said before backing the car out of the school drive way.....

" Try this on " Alex said and tossed a black dress to me.

" This too " she muttered throwing it .

" This ".... " This "... " And this "

" Isn't this too much ? " Raphael asked sitting down by the waiting room.

" It's too much " I said with a tired voice. We have been to three different stores today. My legs are tired I just want to go home, soak myself in a warm bath and then sleep off. Is that do hard to ask?

" It's not too much, now get your butt in there and make me proud " she said before sitting beside her elder brother who was tapping on his phone now, ignoring us once again

" Fine " I groaned before entering the dressing room. I undressed and put the first dress on before coming out of the room.

" So how do I look ? " I asked and turned around so they could both look me over. The first dress was a black lace material that was tight around the bust area, showing little body right above it and it had a spaghetti hand and it reached just above my knees.

" Change it " Raphael said and then ignored me again. I rolled my eyes.

" Oh ignore his grumpy ass, he looked you over for more than a minute before giving his stupid remark. You know he would kill to take you out on an actual date. Too bad he is too old for you " she said and I laughed

" Lets see the other ones " she said and I nodded before going back inside the dressing room. I tried the other four dresses on too. One was a red flare gown with an off shoulder, another was a bright yellow sun dress, a purple jumpsuit and a sky blue mini gown.

We ended up buying just two of the clothes. The red off shoulder dress because they said it complemented my hair and my eyes and we also bought the purple jumpsuit because the outing with Adam wasn't in a fancy restaurant so I didn't want to go extra. I just really hope both of the dates go well and that I don't end up hurting one of them
