Chapter 4: Dark Revelation

"The child's name would be Rubick" the priestess announced.

Mary looked at the priestess in happiness and she redirected her beautiful eyes at her baby boy who finally had a name.

"Thank you, Priestess Isabelle, for all the blessing you have given to my newborn child," Mary said while looking at the priestess in front of her.

"You are always welcome Mary, and please do not thank me for the blessing, rather, thank the Life Goddess for her divine blessing" the priestess responded.

"' Rubick, so that's my new name.'" Ezekiel thought in silence.

A subtle sad expression had been made on the face of Rubick.

"' Ezekiel Fernandez, your existence will never be forgotten and you may now rest in peace.'" Ezekiel condolences his old name.

Rubick knew that it was quite odd to feel a unique sad emotion by just burying his old name.

The naming ceremony had already ended and Mary decided to go back to the place where they currently reside.

Their house is simply just made of hardwood, the same as the other villager's houses.

The Za'astaroz village was surrounded by a very thick wooden barrier to temporarily protect them from the monster's attacks.

The Za'astaroz Village is very near to the outermost part of a vast forest, and that forest was named the Forest of Lloyd.

It is named Forest of Lloyd because it is said that this was where Lloyd, the God of Nature Hibernated hundreds of thousands of years ago.

It is also well-known that the innermost part of the Forest was unreachable due to an abundant number of monsters that made the forest their own habitat, and also some other unexplainable factors that further supported the difficulties.

No one in the continent successfully invaded the forest from the past to the present due to its unique and mystical environment.

Some well-known adventurers also provided significant information regarding this forest.

They said that they tried exploring the innermost part of the forest but after walking for so many hours to reach their desired destination, they were quite surprised because they were redirected to the outermost part of the forest where they originated!

Those petty adventurers said, that throughout their journey, they encountered some unknown monsters and magical beasts, some even exuding a Demi-God level of strength and magical capabilities!

The only thing that those petty adventurers can do was to hide quietly and just avoid it as much as possible as they can!

There are also some outstanding Scholars and Grand Scholars who visited the Forest of Lloyd just to be depressed because they couldn't seem to find anything that can support their theories, and they just set it aside at the moment.

Grand Mages also tried to reach the innermost part of the forest, and the only thing they can conclude is that "the Forest of Lloyd sure possesses an excellent quality of mana, to be exact a unique sort of mana".

These Grand Mages also experienced the phenomenon wherein they were redirected to where they started, those powerful Mages stated that they did not feel any fluctuation of mana within their covered vicinity, so, it only means that the specific phenomenon of being redirected was not a cause of mana, but something that only Gods can possess, and that is the God's Law!

Every God possessed their own unique Law.

Mary was currently breastfeeding the newborn in her arm and sings a lullaby song for around twenty minutes.

Within the interval time of him being breastfed, Rubick knowingly sorted out through his mind his ideas for him to be able to learn casting magic.

"' I really wanted to experience casting magic so bad!'" Rubick's thoughts ran wild while being breastfed.

"' I don't have any idea on how to cast magic, but I'm sure every goal needs some sort of foundation..., right?'" Rubick added in his mind.

"' I… really don't know how to start…'" Rubick was very excited but at the same time he was quite stressed because of his lack of knowledge and supporting information.

After Mary successfully finished breastfeeding the newborn Rubick, she laid him on the only bed in their household and also she lay beside her baby boy.

Mary unconsciously thought of his lover, of course, it's Rurick's father.

Rubicks' father was Yusoph, he is just an average mage who is currently on an adventure for a monster eradication mission.

For him to be able to feed his family in the Za'astaroz Village, he really needs to earn some coins.

Mary thought of something, she thought of telling the baby some interesting stories.

A story of the Necromancer and Elemental Lord who combined their power to destroy an Evil God, but they both died in the cruelest way due to they fought an evil God who specializes in Curse Magic.

The Evil God had been defeated successfully but unluckily both the heroes were cursed mercilessly and died after a few years of enduring the incurable curse .

Mary also told some stories in regard to Yusoph's addiction to magic when he was just a kid.
