Systems Finally Online!

13 years later…

Jack and Henry were both 18 years old. They had turned 18 years old about a month ago, and it could be said that the past 13 years had been quite troublesome to the two of them.

Ever since they got to know that the systems that they possessed in their previous worlds were actually available, the two of them could not help but get a little impatient. The thing that they were most infuriated with was the fact that the system was going to take at least 13 years for them to be online.

Additionally, as long as Henry and Jack summoned the systems, the countdown would be displayed in front of their eyes boldly, as if trying to ensure that they would not miss to see them.

Of course, it was supposed to be good news to the two of them, considering that the countdown implied that they would have the systems soon. It was just that the soon was too far away. After all, 13 years…

In the end, the two of them decided not to focus on the system at all. Instead, they simply decided to focus on their studies, trying to make sure that by the time that the systems came online, they would have already completed everything related to school.

During the past 13 years, they tried as much as possible to make sure that they did not have a high profile. So, other than a few people outside the Smith family, not many people knew about them.

They did not attend the parties that youngsters always attended, and neither did they put in any effort in order to join their age mates in the activities related to their age.

Still, within the family, it could be said that they possessed a high profile. After all, the two of them were considered as the two princes of the family, and more than that, they were the well renowned geniuses.

Other than that, the battle between Clinton and Newton had been ongoing all these years. But the battle between the two of them had never blown up. Still, the two of them continued fighting with each other covertly, with Clinton trying to take over Newton, while Newton trying to express his dominance.

Since this matter was not that much related to the two of them, Jack and Henry did not care about it. Still, during the past 13 years, they had just continued their futile research in the internet, trying to search for any clues that indicated at that this world was in some kind of danger.

But of course, most of the things that they found were kind of related to aliens and so on. But of course, the majority of these pieces of information that they found were just rumors, without any proof.

It could be said that the two of them were quite helpless. Despite this world being the same as their own worlds, there were some differences nevertheless.

The world that Jack came from could be considered as normal. As for the one that Henry came from, it was normal, but was then affected by the apocalypse, where zombies and many mythical creatures began appearing in that world.

In the end, they entered an urban fantasy phase. It was during that time that Henry managed to get stronger, before leading the human race in his world to dominate over the other races that had appeared within his world.

It could be said that the technology in that world had improved at a rapid pace due to the apocalypse, making it look like a sci-fi world that could be seen in the movies in this world.

Despite the world that Henry came from being almost like a fantasy, it was still a normal urban world, if one managed to eliminate how strong people were in that world, and the presence of the members of the other races within that world as well.

For Jack, they were just preparing to deal with the aliens that were attacking his world, when he was suddenly swallowed by a black hole.

On the other hand, Henry had just finished the battle for domination, which was the mission and the only way to end the apocalypse, and during the time that the rewards for the completion of the mission were being distributed, he was also swallowed by the black hole.

Needless to say, the two of them had been forced to come over, and left the people that they cared about back from where they came from. Still, it seemed that it was going to be difficult for them to be able to go back, considering that the entity never gave them any clue related to the mission.

Focusing on other matters, the eldest sister of the two of them was currently 36 years old. She was already married, and had two children, both of them sons, 14 and 10 years old respectively.

As for the other sister, she was currently 29 years old, and was married as well. She only had one daughter, who was 6 years old.

As for the youngest of them all, he was currently 16 years old, in his third year of high school.

As for Jack and Henry, the two of them were currently in the final year of college. At this time, the majority of the people would be joining University, considering that both Jack and Henry were currently 18 years old.

But due to the two of them skipping a few grades, they managed to get to the final year when they were only 18 years old. Additionally, they were already in the last semester, about to complete their education and get their degrees.

They had tried as much as possible to keep a low profile during the time that they were in school. And so, even though they were performing quite well, they did not deliberately score higher marks, and only scored what could be considered as excellent.

As for getting perfect marks, that was something that was going to make them receive too much attention, something that they did not want.

Despite the two of them not wanting much attention towards them, they attracted it nevertheless. The reason behind that being that the two of them possessed outstanding appearances.

Jack and Henry, both of them were tall, standing about 189 cm. Jack possessed black hair with shades of silver. Jack liked the buzz hair cut.

Henry on the other hand possessed black hair with some shades of blonde in them. Completely different from Jack, he maintained his natural hair, making sure that it was of medium length.

The hair of the two of them was something quite unique, considering that it was a mixture of two colors. And other than that, the two of them possessed emerald green eyes that stood out completely due to how bright they looked.

Additionally, the two of them possessed quite a physique, considering that they were working out, trying to get stronger even without depending on the system. Even though they bulked up a little, the muscles on their bodies were not that exaggerated.

They possessed well proportioned bodies and muscles, with the muscle lines being well outlined. In all sense, it could be said that the two of them definitely possess one of the best appearances, one that could match that of models, even surpassing them.

Recently, the weather had been getting a little warmer. This was to be expected considering that summer was already approaching, indicating the approach of the end of the academic year, and almost the time for Jack and Henry to graduate.

On this specific day, both Henry and Jack went back home early. The reason behind that was simply because the countdown for the systems to finally be fully online was ending today.

Until the time of the activation of the system, there was only a single hour. So, the moment that the two of them got back home, they immediately went to the room that belonged to Jack.

When the two of them grew up, they had no choice but to have a room of their own. After all, they required the privacy of their own, despite both being young men.

"It is about to start. I have been waiting for quite a long time. I was almost dying of impatience." Henry exclaimed as he sat on the couch that was present in Jack's room.

"That was a hell long wait. I do hope that there will be nothing like this anymore. With the system, it is not impossible for us to be able to improve faster. So, it can be said that the delayed activation of the system has delayed our progress by at least 13 years." Jack responded as he sat next to Henry.

Then, the two of them stared at the holographic screens in front of their eyes with anticipation.

30 minutes later…

Jack: 🥱

Henry:😵

"Man! This is tiring. My eyes are already burning from staring." Henry exclaimed.

"Sigh! The time seems to be moving quite slowly." Jack responded.

About 20 minutes later…

[The system has been activated, and is fully online. The abilities of the system are being loaded.]

[Restriction has been detected. Some of the abilities of the system will not function in this world.]

[Changes detected. Conditions surrounding the host are completely different to the previous ones when the system was being bound to the host.]

[Changes to the system are occurring… Changes have been made to the system functions in order to be able to match the current situation that the host is in.]

"Finally!" Henry and Jack exclaimed after receiving the prompts from the systems that each of them possessed.
