7 years later

Atreus is now 10 and practicing with his wooden sword with his father. The fight seems pretty even from the outside but from inside the atreus is landing more and more hits mainly the joints or hand trying to wear his father down before his final strike and as his father goes to block atreus faints it and switches to a twohanded grip and hits his father across his fingers making him drop his practice sword. " Ahh damn, you don't have to hit so hard " his father complains while rubbing his fingers , smirking atreus replies " But you told me to attack like I mean it so you can only blame yourself " . After their spar both atreus and his father pack up to go check their nets , as they hop in the small boat and start to row out to where the floaty is the father asks" So how's your sling practice going are you going to try larger game " atreus thinks for a little bit going back to his training where he is able to make his stone hit his target nearly every time even when he can't properly see it and just knows it's there like behind a tree or rock " I might because rabbits are becoming to easy now but I might need different rocks for my sling ". As they get within grabbing distance of the floaty the father says " Well I can try and find you metal or something like it next time I'm in town". They pull up the net see how much they have caught and seeing well or 30 fish the father is quite happy cause this means he can see half to make a bit of money they then drag the net behind them to shore and take out a third for them and the rest go in the small cart to be sold in town. The mother comes outside at the noise to see what's happening and see her husband rubbing his hand while atreus is laughing at him while they pull the net onto the cart.

She then asks her husband " Dear when will you be going to town" he replys " Soon dear I'm just sorting this out" as he attachs the mule to the cart.

30 minutes later the father is leaving for town to sell the fish and get other supplies they need. Atreus calls out " Don't forget what we talked about " his father says " Of course son".

4 hours later

The father returns with their supplies like grain and a small amount of salt. He hops off the cart and grabs a small pouch from the back and hands it to atreus saying " This is the best I could find the call it lead it very heavy for its size so it makes perfect ammo for your sling" atreus runs up to his dad hugging while thanking him. Atreus then grabs the pouch from his dad while attaching it to his belt , then he helps his dad unload the supplies from the cart and it to the store room.

1 Hour later

They are all sitting around a small fire outside and having dinner , while they eat the father says " While I was in town today I heard a lot of people talking about wild animal attacks nearby and so I got a sword just I case it comes here so you and me need to practise more" as he motions to atreus.
