2 Growing

3 years later

The boy is currently being taught how to use a sling to hunt small animals but at the moment he is trying to hit wooden targets at 20 feet at the moment he is hitting 3/10 stones. His mother is sitting at the front door making some rope while the husband is fishing in the bay for dinner. At noon the boys mother called to come get lunch so put the sling and rocks back in his pouch he runs to his mum. His mother asks " How is your practice going, I hope you aren't over doing cause you are still young". " Yes mother " as he sits down to start eating. As they are enjoying their meal the father comes running in. The wife concerned asks " Dear what's wrong" the husband responds out a breath " There is smoke on the horizon we need to leave for few days it could be a army marching through or raiders " the boy is startled when he hears this and looks to his mother who is also looking spooked but the husband urges them to pack just what they need and they will leave soon.

2 days later

The family is camped by the beach a good while away from their home as to not attract attention. During this time the father is teaching the boy more combat related skills to have a chance at defending himself " Alright Atreus I'm going to attack you and I want you to either dodge or block if you are able to keep up for 5 minutes we will stop ".

Atreus now determined to keep up with his father blocks the first overhead strike the jumps back from a swipe aimed for his legs, then he springs forward to try deliver a diagonal strike but his father parries knocking the stick out of his hand and says " You are getting alot better considering you are so young in a couple a years you will be able to stand face to face with me" he laughs while atreus is grumbling with a sore wrist. The mother watches this and smiles , she then calls them over for some food because they will be heading back home the next day.

The next day

After packing up the small camp site they start the journey home which takes about half a days walk to get back and luckily their home still stands but they are missing a few animals and other things but at least the house is still there. After they have settled back in the boy with sling and rocks goes for a small walk to find a rabbit for a snack. After walking for 20 minutes aroj d the forest he spots a rabbit eating a patch of grass happily, so he quietly loads the sling and starts to whirl it above his head and after 10 seconds with no movement from the rabbit he released the stone towards the rabbit and just as he thinks it's about to miss it curves and hits it round the back of the head killing it quickly in the thought of have a nice hot rabbit he doesn't pay the curving stone anymind and hurrys home to show his mum what he caught.
