Ch. 5 You're a Werewolf Harry

So there I was standing with my sister and I heard the screeching of the tires. I remembered this scene from the trailers, but I didn't know when it was about to happen. And on top of that I was in the middle of it, I didn't really want to show my powers until the full moon was here and my transformation was done but now I was cornered.

As I saw that the van was coming for me and my sister, I also saw Edward and Cat running towards us, I instinctively pushed Bella away and Edward went after her and Cat was still coming towards me, I laid my hands in front.

As the van came crashing for me Cat barely made it but was still far from me. In a desperate attempt she put out her frail pail arms in front and pressed against the metal but when she saw that I was doing the same she was surprised. As soon as my hand was in contact with the metal door, I was slightly pushed back but the van stopped. 

She was still fine, nothing happened to her, but unlike her, I was in immense pain, my whole upper body was screaming in pain. I was pretty sure that I had broken both of my hands and fractured some of my bones in my arms, along with some tearing in my muscles.

If this happened after the full moon, I would be fine right now. I looked at Cat and  she was shocked to see me. I tried to put on a smile and said "Can you call your Dad? I don't want anyone else to know?" I then pretended to collapse on the ground.

She then walked up to me and looked at my hands. They were broken and she was in absolute distress. I didn't want to do this but what other choices did I have.

She then pulled out her phone and called her dad. And I was thinking that I am a dumbass, why did I do any of this? But I guess, all of this came out of instinct to protect my sis and now I am concerned as to how I am supposed to explain this.

I was sitting in the private room and was waiting for Carlisle and I didn't really know what to say to him "I am a werewolf?, cause that will be a bit dumb actually." But I do think that he could help me, keeping all of this underwraps. He came into the room wearing a bright smile. He said "So, Chris, How are you?" He had a slight British accent in his voice, maybe this guy was from Britain. He then looked at the charts and was concerned.

He then said "It says here that you have multiple fractures, some broken bones and tear in your right shoulder." All of it was true but I had healed most of it. Only the broken hands remained and that too was about to be healed. 

I said "Ah, the thing I have already healed most of it." He then looked at me and then started to examine me and was perplexed and looked at me, his piercing golden eyes were looking at me and he asked "What are you?"

He then thought about it all for a minute and nodded his head and said "It doesn't matter. I am sure you understand what I need to do next, correct?"

I asked "What?" Then he grabbed on of my fingers and snapped them like a twig I controlled and didn't let out any scream only a faint muffled groan was heard and then I became angry and looked at him and suddenly the broken finger started to steam and  it settled all by itself and I took few deep breaths and calmed down.

He looked at me and said "Fascinating."

And I said "I am happy that you are finding my pain amazing."

He then looked at me and said "Which tribe are you from?"

I looked at him and said "What are you talking about? I have no tribe."

He then looked at me and asked "So how much do you know about my family?" His metallic eyes were looking at me and it looked like he was trying to interrogate me, but I just looked at him and was unfazed and I said "I have heard stories about you and your family, doctor.

And it is not that hard to figure out, you know, none of your kids attend school when the sun is out, they don't eat anything and today I saw Edward and Cat who were standing across the parking lot travel that distance in an instant and also I saw Cat pushing the van away."

I didn't want to tell anyone not until I am done shifting. He then looked at me and said "You know much about us, but now I know about you as well, you have extraordinary healing capabilities, you are stronger than most humans. So you could say we both have dirt on eachother."

I looked at him and said "I would call it dirt, I mean I was never going to tell anyone, I just want you don't tell anyone about me either."

He then looked at me and said "Why are you trying to hide?"

I said "Same reason as all of you, I just want a normal life."

He then looked at me and asked "You are not really a shapeshifter are you?"

I tried to play it dumb and said "What is a shapeshifter?" He just looked at me and placed his hand on his heart and I sighed and said "I am not exactly a shapeshifter, I am something different."

He wasn't satisfied that answer but it was enough for now, then asked "Is your sister like you as well?"

I said "No, no she is a normal human."

He then asked "Does my family need to be wary about you?"

I said "No, I am friends with Cat and I have the general idea that you are good vampires, so no, I don't think we will have any problems." I then asked "So can I ask you to keep it all a secret?"

He looked at me and smiled and said "Absolutely, but I can't really stop Cat and Edward from prying and they will want to know what you are. They are quite curious to know how you did what you did." He spoke with an amusing look on his face and I was just racking my brain as to how am I going to tackle all of this.

He then smiled and got on to take care of the medical records. I got out of the room and saw Cat. She was waiting for me outside and was looking out of the window as soon as she heard me her head shot towards me, and she had a curious look on her face.

Carlisle also got out of the room and saw us and placed his hands on my shoulders and smiled and said "You two should talk and call me if you have any problems in the future?" and with that he walked off.

It was now just Cat and me and awkward silence, he was walking and Cat was looking at me with amazement and wonder and she stared at me intensely and being able to bear it anymore I asked "You want to ask something?"

She blurted out "How?" She then walked closer to me and wishperd "How did you stop the van?" She was so close to me and she also realised that and backed off and I said "How did you stop the van?"

She then looked at me and was frustrated and I decided to do the same to her. I moved closer to her and I looked her in the eyes and said "We both have some secrets Cat and I think to know each other's secrets we first need to trust one another."

She looked at me and it kinda looked like she forgot to breathe and I smiled and she then looked at me and said "I wish to know more about you and you wish to know me. But how are we supposed to know each other if we can't answer each other honestly?"

I looked at her and asked "If I tell you how I did, will you tell me how you did it?" She didn't say anything and I said "It's fine, we are still getting to know one another. I think one day we'll tell eachother about all of this, can you wait until that day?"

She then again started to 'breathe' and looked down and nodded and I smiled and said "Then let's drop this  for now, I think others might be waiting?" She nodded and we walked in silence.

She then saw her sister Rosalie and she grumbled "goodbye." I looked at her and said "I will meet you tomorrow." She then went to her sister who was talking to Charlisle.

I then saw Edward and I walked up to him and tapped on his shoulder and he was pretty worked up and I was confused. Did he not hear me come or is he worried about my sister?

He then looked at me and I said "Thank you for saving my sister." He nodded and I said "Although she will not let this go."

He looked at me and asked "What do you mean?"

I said "My sister is a curious cat, she will try to find out what is wrong?"

He then gave a stiff smile and in a desperate attempt tried to persuade me and said "What are you talking about I think you hit your head or something Chris?"

I just looked at him and said "Really that is the best you have? Come on think of something better, otherwise she will catch on to you"

He looked at me and said "No one is going to believe you and didn't you stop the van?"

I looked at him and said "1. I am in the same boat as you, but I am more screwed than you because I live with her. She is going to constantly nag me about this.

2. No one is going to believe you if you have that weak lie to tell. Do better.

3. She is here."

He was confused and said "What?" He then looked behind me and said "Wait, don't leave me."

Bella then said "Chris!"

I said "Gotta go bye." I then quickly ran to Dad, I don't want to be anywhere near when she starts to question Edward.

Once we reached home she pestered me all the way home and when I tried to dodge the question I just gaslighted her and this pissed her off because she didn't have proof to say otherwise.

In retaliation she didn't give me any food that night, even Charlie didn't help me, in fear that he would also go hungry. That night they ate Hamburgers and I had to eat a  sandwich, it wasn't that good.

I kinda regret saving her now, damn. I then wondered what Cat was doing right now?
