10,000 years ago, A young cultivator by the name of Jun, made the ultimate sacrifice. countless millenniums of war spawned an entity of pure chaos. The combined forces of immortal and mortal cultivators tried their best to fend off the entity but was unable to. Jun founded the Hidden Palace to research darker ways to deal with the entity.
His methods were called demonic and unnatural, gaining him the title of Demon King by most. faced with such scrutiny, he formed the Hidden Clan in a pocket dimension created using his bone marrow and his very own life essence. after 100 years, he cultivated a perfect celestial body that was able to feed off of the chaotic power similar to the entity.
The creatures spawned by that chaos being, were able to be subdued and destroyed using his methods. this inspired many others to join the Hidden Clan and cultivate in his way. seeing the threats posed by Jun, the chaos being reentered the world. this time to end it completely. being an entity of pure energy, the chaos being could not be killed.
so, with no other choice, Jun absorbed the entity by undoing his perfect celestial body enough to tie the entity to his own lifeline. after the tethering was done, he flew away from all things and detonated himself, scattering the essence and power of the chaos being throughout the cosmos.
he managed to put himself back together long enough to put various things in place, to prevent that creature from ever coming back. it was never his intention to create a race of 'demons', but that was simply a natural consequence of his decision.
because he was given the title of demon King for his dark practices, everyone who followed in his footsteps were also considered demons. many stated that his true intentions of being dark saviors, was to allow them to do what the immortals could not. others saw the teachings and power as a means to rule the world.
so, over the last 10,000 years, immortals and demons waged war against each other for dominance over all things. The world spiraled out of control to the point that another chaotic entity has threatened to spawn again, as the chaos energy scattered across the cosmos began to act up. in response to the threat, all three factions of the world, immortals, mortals and demon has performed numerous rituals to form a master of chaos, able to harness the chaotic power to ward off the threat.
