Final attempt
The Alyssa and Rain had an eventful time together chatting about all sorts of things and woth Rain's personality they became fast friends especially since they were in the same age group.
"hahahahhahaha, that is hilarious Alyssie! Who who jave thought that you would be this funny? Rain exclaimed
" I am glad that you are enjoying my company. I hope you are no longer grumpy about fetching me." Alyss said
"I was not grumpy!" Rain exclaimed.
"Really?" Alyssa asked with a knowing look. "I-I mean maybe i was but just a bit okay?! I was not grumpy because of you, it's just that brother Calix can be unfair sometimes." Rain admitted with a pout. He knew that he could not deceive Alyssa and he did not want ti so it was best if he cleared the situation and explain himself.
" Anyway, good luck. You've got this." Rain said to Alyssa as though he knew all about the tremendous mission ahead of her.
In response Alyssa smiled as she got out if the car because they had reached their destinTion.
Alyssa looked around and saw that everything around them was very basic. They were in a small yard that was clean and spotless. In front of them there was a small cottage which was surrounded by a beautiful garden qith butterflies flying all over around ths multicolored flower den. Alyssa also noted that aside from her and Rain, there was no one else in sight and this made her uneasy..
'Why would Calix want to meet me here? The place is beautiful and all but its a bit isolated' Alyssa thought to herself.
" Alysse? This is it for me. I have accomplished my mission, see you." Rain said to Alyssa as he started the car.
"Um, goodbye." Alyssa said as she gave a small wave
" Oh and by the way, this place is close to 100 km away from almost everything but don't worry because the house has everything single supply a human being might need." Rain said with a wave as he sped off
Shocked by Rain's relevation Alssya almost ran after the car but then steeled her resolve and because she was nit the one who went out seeking Calix, he came to her. She turned around and looked at the small cottage and saw a smoke coming off the chimney.
Since it was late afternoon, the smoke and lit lights made the cottage feel like a home Alyssa would not mind going back to everyday though the downside was ho isolated the place was.
(Exhales sharply) 'Okay, let's do this.' Alyssa thought
She took her first steps to the cottage, she was walking very slowly yet elegantly. As though she aas walking slowly on purpose to avoid what came ahead and in truth she was! With each step Alyssa steadied her breath and resolve to face the man who turned her entire life into turmoil. Her heart was beating so fast she felt like it would jump out of her chest and her mind was playing all kinds of scenarios she would come to face once she opened that door.
And finally she was standing in front of the door that separated her and the man she was kinda missing and yearning for though she did not want to admit this herself.
With a drum like heart beating in her chest she knocked on the door and paused.
Silence. No answer.
She knocjed again but still no one said anything. She frowned and attempted for the third time but the door suddenly opened and her hand in the form of a tiny fist landed on Calix's chest.
Alyssa froze at the sudden contact and did not know what to say. Just as she was about to apologize an unfazed Calix with his usual cool invited her inside the cottage.
"ba dum ba dum ba dum" was all Alyssa could hw hear as she accepted the invited with a polite thank you and went inside the house.
" good evening." Alyssa cleared her throat and squeaked out those two words.
"Um." Calix made an inaudible sound in response which further discouraged Alyssa to continue with the conversation.
The room fell silent after Alyssa lost to her fear of speaking to him and she thought that she would rather hear what he has to say especially since he asked for her. Contrary to her hopes, Calix did not break the silence either. He felt that the silence was comfortable and he did not need to say anything to Alyssa. Not that he can be blamed since he was tired from the week's activitues, too many missions and traveling in a short span of time.
The two remained in the room for quite a while which made Alsyssa a whole more tense and nervous that she started playing with the fingers.
This action did not go unnoticed by Calix's sharp eyes
"had a mission. I did not get to rest so i came here immediately after."
"Oh it is okay. You should take this time to rest then." Alyssa said who was elated that Calic finally said something but at the same time disappointed that he did was not in the mood for a conversation since he was feeling tired.
"I- We can talk sone other time." Alyssa said as she forced a smile. She was very disappointed because out of all her scenarios this one was the most gruesome.
