New Friends

Raheem woke up and got ready for school.

"I'm going to join the lacrosse team." Tatiana and Frank looked up from their respective plates. Frank cleared his throat. " What made you want to join?" "Scott is on the team and since he's newly transformed he is a danger to himself and other people."

Tatiana chuckled at him. "Careful Raheem, you are sounding like a hunter." Raheem looked at her, then at Frank. "What should I do then? Scott is not a bad person, I know that much already, so I do not want to see him hurt anyone." Tatiana handed him the file on Scott. Raheem read it in silence, Tatiana watched him, and Frank went to put away the dishes.

"Raheem what is the first lesson I taught you?" "Never take things as they seem, for history has taught us the fate of the ones who do." She nodded.

"What is the difference between a beast and an animal?" "A beast is capable of forming a complete rational thought, they follow their instincts, but are not ruled by them. An animal, though is mindless and will never form a rational thought."

Raheem and Tatiana stared at each other. "Good, as long as you remember you will be the All-Beast, not some wild animal." She wanted Raheem to not make decisions on who to trust just based on a feeling, sure one day he will have the experience to do so, but he has not experienced enough time to make those decisions. Frank stayed to the side, he would be in charge of training his body and she would be in charge of training his mind.

"Off to school with you. You do not want to make another bad first impression." Raheem sighed and nodded at Frank's words. He left heading towards the school.

"Frank, I sometimes hate my job." Tatiana sighed and went to check on the plants. Frank watched her as she walked away. "Me too, me too kid."

Raheem pulled into the student parking and got off of his motorcycle. A car blew at him, he turned around and saw Jackson blowing his horn.

"Hey dipshit, move your bike you're in my spot." Raheem took off his helmet and walked towards the school. His mind was on how to befriend Scott.

Jackson got out of his car and kicked Raheem's bike over.

Raheem stopped and turned around. "When I tell you to move your bike, you move your fucking bike." Raheem looked around and saw a crowd slowly starting to form. He walked up to Jackson. "I know, I don't look like it, but I will kick your ass. How about you pick up my bike and apologize." Raheem had dealt with bullies like Jackson before and was not scared of them.

Jackson smirked and was about to say another snide remark. "Jackson!" Lydia stormed her way through the crowd and got in between them. Jackson rolled his eyes and moved his car two spaces down. Lydia turned towards Raheem, "I'm sorry about him, he's used to getting his way all the time." She was going to say something else, but the rung and she left to get to class.

Raheem sighed. "Hey man, not everyone talks back to Jackson and I've known him all my life." Raheem knew who he was and responded. "I'm guessing, he's always been a dick then." "Exactly. I'm Stiles." "Raheem." They shook hands, and lifted his bike together.

They walked together and got to know each other.

Stiles started off the conversation first. "Did you hear about the body they found in the woods." "Dude seriously? That's how you start the conversation." Raheem laughed at Stiles face. "Yeah probably not the greatest openings to a conversation." "Don't worry about it dude, and yeah I heard about the body."

"They have an idea about who it could be already." "Oh yeah, who do they think it was?" "A guy named Derek Hale. He just got back into town, his family had a house in the woods, but it burnt down with majority of his family inside of it."

"Man that sucks." "Hey Scott!" Stiles waved to him. "What's up Stiles?" He looked at Raheem and then back at him. "Oh my bad, this is Raheem, Raheem this is Scott my best buddy in the whole world." He put his hand on his shoulder and then slipped and fell.

Raheem watched as he hurriedly got up and looked around. "Ladies, morning." He gave them a two finger salute. They laughed as they walked away.

"Stiles can you for once not embarrass me in public." "No, I like to see your face scrunch up." Scott deadfaced him and he did the same. Raheem could not hold in his laugh anymore.

"You guys are more like brothers than buddies." They all smiled and went to their separate classes.

Tatiana was in her office when an employee knocked on her door. "Excuse me, Mistress, but there's a client of the night life who wants to talk to you." Tatiana gestured for the employee to bring in the client. Clients of the night meant a hybrid or a hunter was looking for her and clients of the shadows meant regular mortals were looking for guns.

She put away her paperwork and waited for the client to come in. A man with blue eyes, blonde hair walked in and sat down. " I hear if I want any decent hunting gear you're the woman to talk to." She recognized him as Chris Argent a hunter of some notoriety.

She smiled seductively. "Of course, depends on what you are hunting, the more detailed the better." Chris felt his heart speed up a little bit and he tensed up. "You're not human are you?" There was no way a woman smile made him feel that way. He was absolutely loyal towards his wife.

"Mr. Hunter, I don't speak my secrets unless you speak yours first." She leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs. She was wearing a button down white shirt, with its sleeves removed. Showing her toned arms, she had her hair up in a bun and it was held together a jade hairpin.

Chris swallowed his spit and sat up straight. 'No wonder she is known by the handle, Mistress of the night, she definitely fits the bill of one.' "Let's get down to business then. I want a complete restock of these guns and ammo, preferably in bulk if possible." He slid a note over to her. She picked it up and let her fingers graze his hand. "Let me see what we can do for you Mr. Hunter."

She typed on her computer and a few minutes she turned back to him. "Looks like you are in luck, I have everything in stock, you can pick it up Friday Night, but I need a name." "Chris is fine." She nodded and passed the list back to him. "It's always nice meeting new people isn't it?"

She smiled at him. "Of course. Nice doing business." He left quickly and vowed to send his wife when they ran out again, he didn't want to be in the same room as her.
