Alex watched as Blake returned from her house. Ruby then jumped on Blake as if she was an animal.

Ruby: "Blake!"

Ruby then stood up and swiped the dirt off of her clothes she then said.

Ruby: "The team is finally back together!"

Blake: "Where's Weiss?"

Alex: "Well she wanted to stay at Atlas while we picked you up."

Blake: "Ok so I guess we are going to get her. So are we going to start walking there or are we going to take a vehicle?"

Alex: "Nope I'll just use some protagonist power to bring her here."

Blake: "Protagonist power?"

Then conveniently an Atlas ship flew down near Alex and Weiss came walking out of it. Blake had her mouth wide open but then closed it and asked.

Blake: "How many abilities do you even have Alex?"

Alex: "Too many."

Weiss: "What are you talking about?"

Alex: "Just my powers."

Weiss: "Well I'd like to hear about your powers while we go to Salems base."

Alex: "Alright then."

Pyrrha: "Hey Alex shouldn't we take some resources before we go to Salem?"

Alex nodded in agreement and spawned seven boxes of items. Alex then put them in the ship everyone boarded the ship and sat down.

Penny: "Um I know that this is sudden but can I stay?"

Alex: "Alright but can I ask why"

Penny: "I want to explore Menagerie."

Alex: "Alright then bye Penny!"

Penny then left the ship. Alex went to the front of the ship and saw that the driver's seat was empty Alex then began to drive the ship.

Alex then saw dark clouds surrounding an island. On the island, there was a giant tower he recognized this as Salems base. Then suddenly a black figure landed on the ship it turned out to be a Nevermore the Nevermore then tore off the wings of the ship.

The ship fell down onto the wastelands that were the Land Of Darkness. When Alex stood up he saw that the Land Of Darkness.

In the Land Of Darkness, many Gravity dust crystals sprouted from the ground each of them was sharp enough to impale a man on it. The soil was black and there were black clouds above the Land Of Darkness making a gloomy atmosphere.

Then the sound of gurgling echoed throughout the empty lands. Then ten grim rose out from a black puddle slowly behind them there was an Executioner but it wasn't like the others as it had a pulsating mass of flesh covering its right arm.

It erratically ran towards Alex its other arm turned into a axe and it raised its hand preparing for a attack. Alex stabbed its leg by turning his arm into a blade Alex then saw as the Executioner grabbed Alex's blade and removed it from its leg.

It's arm changed into a hammerfist and then it hit Alex in the face sending Alex flying.

//Ruby Pov//

Ruby finished fighting all of the grimm but then she saw the giant Executioner but it looked strange? Ruby all most vomitied from seeing the disgusting pulsated flesh on its right arm.

The grimm noticed her and began to attack but Ruby was too fast for it. Ruby began to tease the grimm.

Ruby: "Your too slow! Come on you didn't even hit me once!"

Ruby then dogded one of the attacks by the grimm but then saw Yang being hit by the attack instead. Her eyes glowed white as the grim turned into stone except its right arm that started to grow over the stone slowly breaking it.

Ruby: "What was that?"

Yang: "Ruby I think I need a bit of help."

Ruby than ran towards Yang she was ashamed of herself after seeing her wounds. There was a giant slash across Yangs hit to her shoulder it was a miracle that she survived. Ruby couldn't help but blame herself for this 'I can't act like this if the people I care for will get hurt. I have to change for Yang and the others.' She thought.

Yang: "Ruby are you alright?"

Ruby: "Yeah sis here let me help you up."

Ruby then picked up Yang with a little bit of a struggle. She then let Yang stand by herself she then turned around to see the grim standing up with bits of stone falling from it's body. It licked the blood off of its claws with glee it then looked at Ruby and like a hungry beast it charged at her.

Ruby didn't know how to activate that ability again so she had to rely on Blossoming Rose for now. The grim turned its arm into a blade and slashed at Ruby fiercly she jumped over the attack and kicked the grimm in the face stunning it for a few seconds.

Ruby then landed on the floor and then sliced one of the grims legs off making it sit down. It raised it's head and roared many grim appeared to aid the Executioner in combat.

Ruby shot and Ursa in the face with her weapon and then turned it into a scythe and sliced a Beowolfs face off. She then watched as Alex arrived and killed most of the grim with ease she then focused on the Executioner.

The Executioner healed all of its injuries and now the pulsating mass was covering most of its body. It jumped on Ruby pushing all of the air out of her lungs it then roared in anger and began to rapidly punch Ruby into the ground creating a crater.

Ruby then thought that she may die to the Executioner she remembered all of her friends. And felt the strange ability come back to her the grim had stone on some of its body parts but it was enough for Ruby.

She then decapitated the grimm mercilessly. Alex then walked up to the grim and consumed its dead body by extending a piece of biomass and using that as a mouth.

Alex: "Come on Ruby let's find the others so we can finally beat Salem."
