Chapter eleven: Radiant light within the despairing darkness

"Wh....what...what ??" She stuttered in a protest manner

"Just kidding"

Jennie find something amiss with his awkward expression with that she said "yeah, right! and thanks for the last time, you really are a life saver, I didn't get to thank you for what you did" it was just like a gust of wind quickly dissipating into the quiet garden as if she never said it.

He chuckled and said " I guess"

The breeze blew slightly and the two figures could be seen under the moon in a garden one still held the other hand.

The air blew her hair across her face, but the other boy stretched his hand and brushed it off. Although it was quite dark but he realized she stood looking as brightening as ever, this light he wants to reached out and maybe he could touch.

She was like a radiant light within the despairing darkness, her curled eyelashes lightly trembled, she was more like a flawless pearl enticing him to possessed.

Jennie also thought, although he looked rigid and always released this oppressive pressure but tonight right at that moment she was overwhelmed by him, his pair of golden eyes became more dazzling. And her heart seemed to be beating wildly as if millions of horses were having bloody race within her.

Because Blake was just too dazzling to the point of being unreal! Long slender figure and exquisite face, just a simple gesture of standing close to her make her heart pound!, What is this strange feeling! She couldn't help noticing his shivering cold chills like winter expression seemed to be gradually becoming warmer.

In this compromised position stood the both, lost in each other eyes but an awkward cough broke the little moment.

She quickly glanced back but seeing the dark blue elegantly dressed and her extremely fair skin.

Jennie jumped few meters away, it was Layla the moment was an awkward one, Jennie mom who stood there watching the both was quite surprised thus, before she could say a thing Jennie had already hurried out of the garden leaving her agape.

What happened thereafter she has no idea, the day ended normal, she was glad her mom didn't brought up the conversation.

After the incident she tried as much as possible to avoid Blake.

Blake play a huge role making his presence invisible, she didn't encounter him as well it seemed the latter was avoiding her as well. Great!!

Jennie nibble on the fruit specifically packed by her mother, mom is the best the saying wasn't made up or false, although dad is great as well not that she's being biased but mom greatness peaked. Couldn't imagine a world without her.

Evelyn is now the lone wolf, although avoiding Tasha didn't justify how cruel she's been treating others. If she wasn't discarded by Tasha maybe she might still be kissing up to her.

Evie pick an apple and took a bite, after gulping down the chewed apple she licked her lips and fixedly look at Jennie. Jennie who became embarrassed asked "What with that look??"

Evie pouted, she looked more like a lost cute puppy, she knew just how to request something from Jennie so she skillfully changed her expression, her watery eyes peered into Jennie's, she looked pitiful like a kid robbed of her favorite candy bar, she retorted. "You aren't attending my birthday are you??"

Jennie who doesn't expected the sudden rhetorical question wanted to refused but seeing the expectation and saddened look on her face she couldn't bring herself to say I won't, she said instead. "I.... I will"

Evie shook off her previous facial expressions and said sincerely "I thought you wouldn't, since I'm a twin after all and Evelyn always find means to make you miserable." She sighed dreamingly and continues " I really felt like going to KTV to sing on my birthday but I know Evelyn wouldn't so it will be a house party consisting of few friends"

"Mn" Jennie responded

"Let's grab some lunch at the cafeteria" Evie said to Jennie who stood up at the mention of lunch.

After eating both went back to the classroom, school ended few hours later and Mrs Anderson came to picked up Jennie.
