Searching for A Ray of Hope

"We should search for Elena, Ruds. We found her nowhere, you should be panicking about her safety than my health," Louisa said in order to avoid a visit to the hospital

"She is hanging out with a guy she wants to, she is an adult who has the freedom to spend time with the person she wants to and she knew how to get out of an ugly situation if any of such arises. Now I am more worried about you," Rudy said looking into his mobile

"You seem to trust her more than your childhood best friend Rudy, but she isn't trained in martial arts like me. She may need us, we should try helping her," Louisa said to distract him.

"Will you stop being stupid or should I give you one?" Rudy yelled in a slightly higher pitch raising his right hand in the air indicating that she will be not be left without being dragged to the most dreaded place

He saw the color fading out of his best friends face, the tigress who is always in the ready to attack mode is now reduced to a little kitten after contemplating with the fact that she can't escape from being taken to the hospital

"Lou, I totally understand your apprehensions but this needs to be done, or else the past will repeat and I don't want to see you going through all those. So be a good girl and cooperate with me, or else I have my ways to get the job done," he warned her

"Ruds, I know I have no option left but trust me I felt him so close to me and it's not an illusion, I didn't even enter the room I was pulled inside the room by him," she cried

"Wait what? You were pulled inside? But I found nothing as such in the security cameras when we searched for you," Rudy told her

"Ruds, the security cameras; yes every room has a camera embedded in it. We can find some information from that," she said feeling happy for the little ray of hope she found

"But, I didn't find anything suspicious inside the room," he said

"Please Ruds, just let me do it for one if this doesn't go well I will surely follow your orders and even get admitted in the hospital"

Unwilling to let the golden opportunity slip away from his hands, Rudy accepted to her reluctantly.

"Let's go Rudy; we should make our move fast," saying that she started walking while Rudy followed her

"Wait! Where are you going? We need to take permission to access the videos recorded by the security cameras and the room is on the left side," Rudy said stopping Louisa from taking one more step

"The permissions will take much time Ruds and we don't have that"

"No Lou, they gave the access easily when Asher asked for it while we were searching for you"

"That's because he has gained the tag of a gentleman whereas I am called a Bitch by the whole world. They will shut the door on my face if I go there for help so there is no other way than hacking them"

"These are high-security cameras Lou and are designed by the best companies in the world. It won't be an easy task for us to get a hold on them," he voiced out the doubts

"Will you just stop being so pessimistic and help me in getting a laptop?" she asked irritated

"In a minute, don't go anywhere just stay here," saying that he went to bring the laptop

Louisa's eyes roamed to every nook and corner, she kept looking everywhere. Her lips quivered and her fear increased with each passing minute. She felt scared even in the heavily crowded place. She just hoped that Rudy comes back soon with the Laptop as she is experiencing this weird feeling of having someone's eyes on her

She felt someone tap on her shoulder and her heart stopped beating at that. She began trembling with fear and her body started sweating.

"Louisa, it's me Liam; why are you trembling to look at me?" Liam asked.

One she heard the word Liam here breathing got even and she inhaled and exhaled a few times before turning towards him

"Why are you following me? Won't you leave me alone?" she asked rudely even though she is feeling happy that she is not alone

"Why so grumpy always Ms. Miller? I just came here to inform you that my brother and your best friend has left this place long back and I absolutely have no idea where they are headed to but I can assure you of your best friends safety"

She just nodded as a response

"What did just happen? Did the great Louisa Miller just listen to what I said and didn't even spat back? Good God, this is a great win and this one should be celebrated," he said dramatically

"Ain't the previous warnings scary enough for you that you have walked all the way back to get more from me? Why do you want to rise an unnecessary fight?"

"Maybe because I love speaking to you and knowing you," he said with a lopsided grin

"What do you want to know about me? There is nothing special about me," Louisa continued the conversation to keep herself busy so that the inner demons won't haunt her.

"You are lying Ms. Miller, I know there is something in you which makes you apart from the rest and I want to know what it is," he said taking her hands into his

She pulled her hands back in anger and he mumbled a small sorry to her.

"Why are you running away Louisa?" he asked her

"You think I am running away from you?"

"I know that you are escaping from meeting a male specie or giving a chance to them, but I want to know why you are doing that?" he asked her

If the situation had been normal Louisa would have spatted back at him by now for digging into her personal space, but due to the fear, she kept her calm.

"Louisa, you didn't answer me yet," Liam said smiling

"Well, I am" while she searched words for answering him, she saw Rudy walking towards her

"Lou, I got the Laptop; let's start with our work," Rudy said passing her the bag

"If you try invading my personal space for one more time I won't warn you, I will just do the thing I am best at," she said to Liam before walking away

The person who has been following Louisa just burst into laughter watching her transform from a scared girl into the no-nonsense rebellious girl. He looked at Liam who stood there with his mouth wide agape

"You are wishing for the thing which is mine, you should know the consequences for doing that. I will do it some other time now I have more important things which need my full concentration," saying that he walked towards the side his girl went
