Special chapter: Omake Two

Title: Cerbie's and Yoruichi's big break...

Time: ???, Location: Yakushi Inn

{Yakushi Inn: Cerbie Pov}

"Dad has left and had me guard the house again. I miss him already but I must be strong for when he returns...SQUIRREL!!!"...Seeing that it was just a false alarm Cerbie calmed down.

Cerbie walked around the house playing with random items he had never seen before.

Afterward, he visited Cana, she gave him good head rubs. Of course not as good as dad's but she was okay.

'I hope he takes me out for a walk when he comes back.' Cerbie thought as he walked through the front entrance of the house and walked up to the massive gates.

He had seen his dad and mum open it a few times but that other brown-haired lady couldn't seem to be able...maybe I can.

Cerbie approached the gates and with his cute tiny paws tried to open the gate but of course, he couldn't.

But Cerbie wasn't a quitter and tried again even harder and this time the gate slowly opened and Cerbie managed to pass through.

"Wawgh!!"{HaHaHa, I the great Cerbie have conquered the great doors of my home like my father and mother before me.}

Cerbie howled in pride as he strutted away from the inn. Of course, he hadn't forgotten his mission but what if there were any dangers outside, like those big stupid humans that had hurt him?

What Cerbie hadn't noticed was the mischievous smile of a certain almond-eyed Cat as she opened the doors for him.

After Cerbie had wandered outside of course Yoruichi would follow along too. She wondered what sort of adventure the pup would have outside.

Cerbie walked on the Inns path curiosily and aware. Cerbie was already familiar with this path as Ekko would regularly take him on walks on this path.

All of a sudden Cerbie saw a beautiful blue-winged butterfly flying not too far away and immediately chased after it completely forgetting his mission and straying from the path.

Yoruichi who was sitting on the branches above was speechless.' Where did all that just checking the perimeter talk go, sigh what was I expecting from a pup.' Yoruichi shook her head but Continued to follow Cerbie nevertheless.

It was around 30 minutes later when Cerbie now all dirty from playing around noticed that...he was nowhere near his home.

Panicked he looked left and right. But all he saw was the forest behind him and the town in front of him.

"Woof, arf"{ Maybe I could ask someone where my home is.} Cerbie thought before happily running towards the town.

What Cerbie hadn't had noticed where a pair of malicious eyes staring at him from a truck. He was too busy exploring the area and looking for some assistance, sadly he just couldn't seem to find any of his kind around.

Cerbie was disappointed as his ears saged, but he hadn't given up yet.

Cerbie remembered when he would race his dad he could never beat him but dad always encouraged him to never give up otherwise your doomed to fail anyway.

So with new renowned vigor, Cerbie was just about to continue his search when the sound of glass breaking caught his attention.

Cerbie immediately ran to where he heard the noise and peeked his head around the alleyway. Cerbie saw two bad humans breaking into someone's home and sneakily climbing through the window.

Cerbie's eyes narrowed and he looked around ready for the other humans to help and catch the criminals...but they didn't do anything, they just walked by like they didn't see anything.

Ruff!!!{ Huh, why aren't any of the humans helping?} Cerbie was confused but only thought about it for a second before deciding to take action himself.

Cerbie wasn't your typical pup, instead, he was actually quite calculating. Cerbie immediately noticed a bucket of Oil and a raggedy old construction tarp and immediately got an idea.

Cerbie then looked at the surroundings and noticed an escape ladder he could climb and after preparing everything on the floor he swiftly climbed up the stair-like ladders and noticed that there were actually a couple of broken bricks piled on the side, and bags full of wood.

A mischievous smirk appeared on his little cute face. Now he only needed to wait for his prey...

The two thieves that were robbing the home dident take too long as they had scouted the house for weeks.

" Hahaha, easiest fucking job we've had all month, and to think that old hag had that much gold just sitting there."

" Ye, I'm definitely going to the strip club to celebrate tonight, but let's head off before anyone actually has the balls to call the police."

The thief with the red mask said as he climbed through the window.

He gave his partner a handout and just as the two were about to get to their getaway car an object suddenly fell from the sky and a bag full of sawdust hit the ground and spread all over the area.

The two criminals were frightened by the sudden loss of vision and coughed violently while trying to escape the dust, too bad one of the criminals never noticed the slippery tarp on the floor.

" COUGH...Wt aghhhh!!!!!" He slipped and fell backward right on all the nails that were around. he screamed in pain and just as he was about to stand up his blurred eyes noticed something else rapidly advancing to his head.

{Bam!!}

Before the criminal could get out of the way a brick directly landed on his head knocking him out cold.

The other gangster not noticing his friend's situation also ran and in the end went through the same fate he did

{Bam, Ta ta ta ta}

The sound of little paws could be heard and a proud and arrogant Cerbie walked up to the criminal's bodies and tapped them with his paw just to make sure they were out before letting out a victorious bark.

Cerbie even said a little speech before deciding to mark his territory on the two criminals and confidently walking away from the two criminals.

And not long after two very confused police officers found the two criminals and took them to the hospital.

" Hahahahahaha!!!! Oh, this is too good, oh my god, that pup's got style if I've ever seen it. Mhh not bad, looks like it wasn't a bad idea, after all, to let him go."

Yoruichi who had been watching all this time laughed her little ass off as she didn't expect anything like this to happen...

" Hahaha, well I better take that little guy home soon Ekko should be finishing up any minute so...huh. Where'd the little guy go, he was just...

{Vrooooooom}

Suddenly a suspicious-looking animal control truck sped off.

Yoruichi was speechless...

{Bang}

Cerbie was suddenly thrown into a cage and locked inside while the ugly-looking human laughed and walked away as he viciously banged the cages of all the dogs inside.

For a dog shelter, it was strangely quiet, almost too quiet. Cerbie who had been thrown into the cage wouldn't stop barking and even tried to bite the cage open but it was of no use.

Grrr!!!{ Will you be quiet kid, just accept your fate already and wait. Don't get your hopes up of ever getting out of this hell hole, you can think of this as your new home.} A German shepherd said with his half-closed eyes.

{Huh, What do you mean, I still need to get back to my dad, and what is this place anyway.} Cerbie asked confused.

The German shepherd grumbled before saying { It's the doggy house kid, where every stray, rabid, or abandoned dog goes to either be sold off, made to fight, or just die.}

{ What, why...why would such a place exist and cerbie wasn't abandoned. Dad loves me and would never do such a thing. No, no matter what you say ill to get out of here I still have the promise to keep.}

Cerbie tried everything to open the cage but no matter what he just couldn't get through.

Just as he was going to ram his head into the bars a melodic voice sounded out outside the cage surprising not only Cerbie but also the German shepherd next door.

The two dogs looked up only to see...a cat?

" Sigh look at the mess you've gotten yourself self into, I take my eyes off you for a single moment and you get yourself captured."

Wraff!!{ Huh, wait who are you Mr...cat?...And how are you outside, *gasp* do you know how to open these doors of death.}

" Who am I...Well, you could say I'm a friend of your dad's, and I was there when you got kidnapped. He would be pretty upset if he found you missing so I've decided to take you home.

" Waaaf Waaf!!!{ Really, really, really, yes! I can't believe you know dad, thank you so much Mr...

{Paa!}

Wrrr{ Hey what was that for?} Cerbie complained holding his head.

" Just because, don't call me Mr, I'm big sis Yoruichi to you, got that." Yoruichi said with a sisterly tone.

{Y-yes big sis Yoruichi.}

"That's better, now let's get you out of here shall we." Yoruichi said as with a swift swipe of her paw the bars immediately disintegrated into nothing, shocking Cerbie, and the german shepherd.

{ So cool} Cerbie looked at Yoruichi with stars in his eyes.

"Come on let's go, we've not got long before Ekko gets back." Yoruichi said and Cerbie followed, but before the two could leave, the German shepherd from before suddenly shouted out to the two

{ Wait!...c-could it be possible to free me as well, no to free all of us?}

" Huh, I guess I could do that by why would I, didn't you say so yourself, this is your home."

{ Yes, I indeed said that but that was a lie, this is no home and this is no way to live, I and my fellow brothers have been trapped here for so many years...we have starved, we have bled and we have had our voices silenced...but that Isn't how I want to spend my last remaining days.

Even if we escape and get captured again I do not care...but I at least want to try one last time at becoming free, please even if not me could you set my fellow brothers free?}

Yoruichi silent. Cerbie looked at her almost pleading for her to accept but even if he asked She would have set them all free anyway.

Yoruichi waved her paw and like magic, all the bars in the room faded away.

The dogs who were all trapped in their cages slowly walked out in disbelief as they were now actually free.

{Thank you lady Yoruichi and...} The German bowed bout paused.

Wraf{ You may call me Lord Cerbie Makena Afia the first, Conqueror of doors and gatekeeper of Castle Yakushi.

...Or just Lord Cerbie for short.}

{Thank you lady Yoruichi and lord Cerbie} Immediately all the dogs started to bark and howl in excitement while thanking their saviors.

And since Yoruichi had already knocked out the dog catcher all the dogs in the facility were free to leave and run away.

But they would never forget the debt they owed those two, especially Yoruichi.

Meanwhile, Yoruichi had grabbed Cerbie by the scruff of his neck and shunpoed to the inn and quickly bathed Cerbie In the hotsprings before Ekko get home.

After that rather interesting encounter, Ekko finally made it back home, where he was greeted by Cerbie guarding the front door.

" Hey there Cerbie, thanks for taking care of everyone while I was away, mhhh, did cana bathe you while I was gone you look so clean."

Wraff!!{ No dad it was the nice cat big sister.} Of course, Ekko couldn't understand what Cerbie had said but that didn't matter.

While Ekko went to do his stuff Cerbie just stayed there while wondering if he would ever see Yoruichi ever again.

He hoped he could, maybe she could teach him how she opened those cages...
