Chapter 82

" And here is my favorite place in the whole school, the music room. I'm a part of the music club so if you want to join you can just ask me and I'll get you a sign up form." Kaori said not really expecting Ekko to join.

" Mhh, I might be interested actually, of course, I need to check out the other clubs but joining the music club doesn't sound so bad."

" Really!!! You play Ekko..." Kaori asked in excitement.

" Um, a little I guess, why..." Ekko answered.

The moment he said that Kaori immediately grabbed his arm and dragged him inside the music room.

Ekko was just about to ask why Kaori had dragged him inside but he was interrupted by Kaori.

" What do you play, drums, violin...piano."

" Umm I guess all of them but I like the cello a lot more." Ekko responded.

Kaori nodded and immediately grabbed a big cello from the other room and placed it in front of a chair, she then pushed Ekko onto the chair and sat the opposite of him, waiting for him to play.

Ekko was speechless, he didn't mind playing but why couldn't she of just asked if she wanted him to play?

" I guess I could play something for you, do you mind if I open the window though, it's a bit stuffy in here."

" Ah sure." Kaori said and Ekko opened the sliding window and took in a deep breath before going back to his seat, he made sure to check the strings were okay and the cello was tuned before playing.

He thought about what to play before a certain song came to mind.

" I'll start then, im a little rusty so don't expect a masterpiece..."

Kaori nodded and stared at Ekko in anticipation.

And Ekko didn't disappoint...

As Ekko began to play, the song was first low and melodic, Kaori subconsciously closed her eyes and lost herself in the melody, the build-up to the climax, and finally the last note.

He played beautifully and the song he played felt like it had soul in it. Kaori was mesmerized by Ekko's song and those who could hear it were as well.

A certain school nurse and even the student council president who were listening in on the song thought so. They subconsciously started to hum to the melody and before they knew it, the solo was over.

Ekko took in a deep breath before smiling, obviously satisfied with his performance." So what do you think."

" Ekko please join the music club, you are amazing, no your better than amazing how have I never heard of you, have you not competed before?"

Kaori started blasting off questions and Ekko had to try and slow her down as he replied." I've never competed in tournaments because I just find them boring, and as for joining the music club, as I said before let me check out the other clubs and I'll get back to you on that."

" Mhhh~~ Fine, but you really better consider us."Kaori pouted cutely and let it go for now. After showing him the music room there wasn't much else to show him so Ekko was free to go home.

" Oh Ekko before you go, make sure to bring your P.E kit tomorrow as we're having a physical checkup tomorrow morning."

" Thanks, I'll remember that."

" Oh and umm...I know this might seem sudden but could I get your contact details, it's just for like music and stuff, you seem to know your stuff and it would be nice to get an opinion from someone who knows..ya know."

"Sure I don't mind, here it's..." After giving his phone number to Kaori he bid her farewell as she still had club activities to attend to.

Ekko got back to Yakushi quite quickly and returned Granny Chio's bento box before going back to the inn.

Though what he saw when he come back was definitely something he would never forget.

"..."

There was silence throughout the inn.

That was because every single girl in the living room besides Masane was in the living room.

That wasn't the shocking thing though. What was shocking was Ahri hanging from the ceiling, with a pair of fluffy fox ears and three tails.

Evelyn looked more demonic and seductive with purplish gas floating around her and on her back, there were these two kagune-like tails swinging around.

Eris was holding a giant electromagnetic Canon in her arms and Akali was welding a pair of glowing Kamas while also in a ninja get-up.

Kai'sa...well kai'sa looked like her usual self but she was also holding a gun that looked similar to Eris's.

And finally, Rangiku was standing on the kitchen table, though strangely enough, she was wearing this black and white haori while also wielding a katana in her right hand.

The room looked like an absolute war zone.

Oh did he forget to mention the giant ass wormhole right in the middle of his living room?

No...good, because it's there.

"..."

Ekko wanted to say something but in the end, he took a deep breath in and walked inside the inn while all the girls stared at him.

He approached an awkward-looking Rangiku and put her down on the floor before kissing her and walking back to his room.

" I don't know what's going on or why there's a portal in my living room, but if this place isn't spotless by the time I come back down and expect an explanation then none of you are going to get the gifts I bought for you all...and no breakfast for a week."

Ekko said behind his back before going to his room.

Immediately after he left the girls looked at each other and had a tactical understanding before at speeds beyond human imagination the room was getting cleaned and tidied.

The portal in the living room was still there but with one shot of Eris's Gun, it forcefully closed killing anything that wanted to come out in the first place.

Ekko, of course, sensed all of this happening but completely ignored it and took off his uniform before changing into something more comfortable.

After he did so he decided to give the girls 30 minutes to get things how they were and after they did he went back downstairs to find out what the hell was going on.

'System you son of a bitch, what type of tenants have you brought into this place. This is supposed to be a normal inn not a place for the supernatural to move into.

' Well I say that but I let Eris and Cana stay, and I also have a system so that statement basically makes me a hypocrite.'

" I see so Eris was trying to send a message back to her home planet but she accidentally broke her transmitter and basically sent a mating signal to a nearby colony of buggy aliens.

And because they knew Eris's coordinates they created a gate so they could mate but seeing as it was a fake call they got angry and attacked Eris, that's when all of you were alerted and attacked the bug-like aliens to save Eris...

...Anything I miss."

" Nope that's pretty much how things went kid. so where are those gifts you talked about."

Everyone gave Cana the are you serious look and Cana just shrugged her shoulders.

Ekko nodded and looked at Eris who looked really guilty and was even ready to be scolded by Ekko but instead Ekko stroked her head and asked" Are you okay Eris..."

"Huh, I'm fine Ekko but I..." Eris tried to blame herself but Ekko just chopped her head and smiled.

" As long as you're alright nothing else matters. Now then who's hungry, I was thinking of making Indian tonight."

The girls looked at Ekko strangely before Ahri couldn't take it any longer and asked Ekko." Umm Ekko aren't you going to ask why we looked the way that we did."

" Huh, why would I care about that, whether you are human or something else entirely I don't care, if you want to tell me then by all means do so, your secrets are safe with me.

But if not then you don't need to, you are now a part of Yakushi so in any case, your all my responsibility, plus I already knew the supernatural existed when Eris came to live with us. Now then how much spice can you girls take."

Ekko said as the girls just stare at his back in awe. If this was a video game then all of the girl's trust meter would have increased by 20 points.

Rangiku in the meantime decided it was time to tell Ekko about her encounter with Yoruichi.
