Chapter 266: Hint Of The Second Half Of The Semester

An uneventful month has passed, Shun is currently listening into the lesson for the day in regards to magic formula of spells and some magic scriptures that can be embedded into items. For the third year's, second semester all lessons given are all practical spells that can be used in everyday life in which it would prepare them for the real world scenarios.

After all they are a batch of graduating students, so teaching them such spells which they could apply in real life situations is much more important than forcing students to master a higher level of spells.

"In ceremonial magic, a magical formula or a word of power is a word that is believed to have specific supernatural effects. They are words whose meaning illustrates principles and degrees of understanding that are often difficult to relay using other forms of speech or writing. It is a concise means to communicate very abstract information through the medium of a word or phrase"

"These words often have no intrinsic meaning in and of themselves. However, when deconstructed, each individual letter may refer to some universal concept found in the system in which the formula appears. Additionally, in grouping certain letters together one is able to display meaningful sequences that are considered to be of value to the spiritual system that utilizes them"

"A formula's potency is understood and made usable by the mage only through prolonged meditation on its levels of meaning. Once these have been internalized by the mage, that person can then utilize the formula to its maximum effect"

As the professor was discussing this, Shun then took a glance at Sephiria and Aria as he notices the two girls, diligently listening on the lesson as they took down notes in their note pad on the side of the table. Seeing this, Shun somewhat felt ashamed of not concentrating in class, as he sigh and turned to look at the professor drawing in a complicated magic circle and some formula on the side.

After he did such things he then flipped the pages on his hand with his mana thought as he continued to write on the board while explaining the illustration in front of him.

"Now can someone tell me how can we utilize magic formula on items?"

As the professor asked this, he then looked towards one of the students in front of the class, as he picked one of girls in front and repeated the question a second time. When the girl managed to answer at the best she can, the professor then let her sit back down as he continued on the explanation.

"To apply magic formula on regular items, one simply needs to recite the specific spell. The material will then gain the effects and properties of that magecraft. For example, if one were to chant an invisibility spell while holding their coat, the coat would turn invisible. It is important to note that the higher the rank of the magic involved, the greater the magical energy and expertise required to perform it"

"Magic formulas vary greatly in complexity. Some can be as simple as a single phrase, while others may require multiple steps and ingredients. The type of magecraft involved, as well as the skill of the mage, will also affect the complexity of the formula.

The complexity of the formula mainly involves the amount of magical energy needed to perform the magecraft, as well as the amount of expertise and knowledge required to successfully cast it.

The overall difficulty of a magic formula also depends on the complexity and effects of the magecraft being performed"

As the professor explained all of this with small demonstrations, he then captured everyone's attention as he continued this type of progress till the end of class time. Just like that an ordinary day passed by once more, as the school hours soon ended without any moments notice.

Once the classes ended, some students returned to their dormitory, while some attended their after school activities which involves meet ups and clubs. As for Shun, he is currently walking towards the Otaku club room or perhaps garden, alongside Sephiria and Aria.

The moment they arrived at the club area, the three of them were greeted by the site if Wendy together with the three first years that they had acquired. But despite being the first to arrive, Millia warmly welcomes them, which was then followed by Tony and Shier. As for Wendy, she simply sat on her chair while drinking some tea.

"Your quite relaxed, by the way where's Cedric?" Asked by Shun as he dropped the honorifics towards the Crown prince of Holstiea Kingdom

"Oh him? He is currently busy since there are some professors who are asking for his help and currently talking in regards to the possible course of the future... What about you guys?" Asked back by Wendy

"Well to be honest the lesson this time is complicated at the same time thrilling, i just learned how to apply spells on items, isnt that amazing?" Exclaimed by Alice

"Well yes! That practice could very well be effective in real life situations" Replied by Wendy

After that Millia gave them tea as she puts out some cookies, before returning to her seat. However before Shun could continue to talk to Wendy, Cedric then burst open the club door room, as he looked around before walking up to them and sat on his seat.

"Phew! today is really hectic, a lot of people actually wanted to talk to me"

"Well what can i say, your the crown prince.... A crown prince who is a vital figure of the kingdom. As the successor to the throne and future monarch, a crown prince plays an important role in the development and stability of the kingdom"

"I see..."

"What about you guys what did you guys learn?" Asked by Aria

"Us? Well... Its scripture magic"

But putting that aside, Wendy diverted the talk on another matter concerning the graduating students.

"Anyway did you guys hear what the second half of our semester? I got a hint you know"

With those words, all eyes turned towards her as everyone awaited for Wendy's words.
