Chapter 28 - Battle with Wild Magical Beasts!

Chapter 28 - Battle with Wild Magical Beasts!

"I could do that. I will lead you there." The driver said with the nod of his head.

"Thanks. Your help won't go unrewarded!" Maxmillan said and followed behind the man who led him to where his carriage was parked.

A minute after Maxmillan and the carriage driver got in, the carriage started and immediately shot off to the distance.

After driving for a long time at high speed on the wide road path, they finally arrived at the place that the men dressed in black sprung out from to attack the carriage that was conveying Lenna to the city.

"It was here they sprung out from the forest to stop my carriage, with the threat that they would turn it to splinters if I didn't stop." The driver said, recalling the morose and sad event that took place many days ago at the particular spot that they stood.

"Hmm. You have done enough, mister. You can return now. I will take it from here. Thank you." Maxmillan said with an appreciative tone in his cool and calm voice that still however gave off the feeling of savageness, even though it was heavily suppressed by him. While the driver gladly nodded his head and immediately got into his carriage to drive back to the city, since spending a few more second in this place that reminded him of the exceeding brutality that occurred there many days ago, filled him with nothing but heart-stifling horror.

Now looking around him with unfathomable anger and devil-like viciousness in his harshly gleaming eyes, Maxmillan fearlessly walked into the place that the men dressed in black were mentioned by the driver to suddenly spring out from.

Then walking in a straight line for two hours and tirelessly searching around him as well as in the distance using his peak-human vision, since he didn't want to miss out on any clue that would lead him to the place his mother was incarcerated in as a slave, suddenly noticed a bloodstained sandal on the ground which of course belonged to his mom. The blood on it had since dried and discolored the sandal.

Bang!

Like an explosion suddenly went off in his head, in the instant that he set eyes on the sandal, Maxmillan's gaze became so harsh and vicious that his eyes could nearly spit out fire and burn everything around him to many feet below the ground.

"Mom!" He said with solid waves of blazing anger heavily inundating his heart that not only pumped blood round his body, but blood-lusting savagery and frenzied madness that won't clear off until he had possibly shattered the sky to countless pieces to free his mom from the void, if she was in the captivity of space-shuttling void entities.

Maxmillan immediately squatted down to pick up the left-foot sandal which he stored into a sling bag that he carried with him.

"I guess the place she is must be up ahead." Maxmillan said and clenched his hands into fists, while a look of intense inhumaneness appeared in his face.

Swoosh!

He suddenly dashed at his peak speed of 90km/h in a straight line, shooting like an arrow through the small gaps between the numerous towering trees that made up the dense forest that entirely covered the earth surface in this region.

After a long while of running like a tireless machine in a straight line, he finally came out of the vast forest and arrived before a valley that had really tall mountains on both sides.

Upon further inspection of the rows of mountains that stood like gigantic inverted swords on both sides of the valley, he suddenly noticed that one of them in the distance had a large unnatural cave at its foot.

"Hmm." Maxmillan said with his eyes flashing.

Then he began to head to that particular mountain with the intention of looking inside of it. He wasn't even frightened or wary.

However, as he walked towards the cave with the aura of battle preparedness exuding from his tall figure, he suddenly heard loud monstrous growls come from far within the massive cave dug at the base of the mountain.

Then a few moments later, numerous magical beasts called Magiwolves; twelve-feet tall wolf-like creatures with really large heads and massive jaws, and possessed ruby-colored eyes that glittered like actual ruby gems in the light of the sun that vastly, continuously struck the valley, suddenly dashed out from the cave in large numbers and bolted towards him with bloodlust frenzy in their glittering eyes.

"Really?" Maxmillan asked with his eyes shining with extreme viciousness.

"Why does it seem like they have been expecting me?" He asked further with a fierce contemplative look in his face.

"I guess they must have heard through a planted agent about the chaos that I wreaked at the garage when I first arrived there."

Still looking at the pack of raging magical beasts that darted towards him with seemingly unbounded rage and thirsts in their eyes, Maxmillan shouted with unyielding determination in his voice, "Even if a thousand-headed, thousand-tailed mountainous magical dragon emerged to fight me, I will gladly oblige!!"

Once he roared that fearlessly, with the aura of savagery and viciousness beginning to exude from his tall figure, he suddenly shot out at a great speed towards the Magiwolves that loudly growled in rage at the sky, before picking up more speed as they dashed towards him.

Although they were faster than him in speed, Maxmillan who had one of the Magiwolves appear in front of him to strike him with its claws that glowed in resplendent magical energy, immediately performed a slickly-executed side flip over it to avoid its mountain-incising claw attack.

Once he landed, he immediately grabbed the Magiwolf by its thick long tail and groaned slightly as he mustered great strength within himself.

Then with a twist of his upper body, he heavily hurled the Magiwolf clutched by the tail in his arms away.

Whoosh!

He flung the Magiwolf which weighed around a ton away and immediately jumped after it that he speedily arrived over it in mid-air and sent a rather devastating, wall-collapsing punch at its large jaw.

Bang!

The heavy punch which carried the weight of one ton and struck out really fast like a whip, impacted the Magiwolf really hard that it painfully shrieked in mid-air and forcefully plunged to the ground with bright blue blood instantly gushing out of its broken jaw.

The other Magiwolves became more furious at the sight of this and roared out in intense fury, before opening their large jaws in preparation to shoot off massive, compacted bolts of Astra Mystralis at Maxmillan who instantly understood what they were about to do and abruptly produced a pump-action shotgun.

So, with the high-devastation power, six-barrel shotgun that was totally similar in appearance to a pump-action shotgun but only monstrously larger and more sophisticated in look, since it had six large discharge barrels that were each 4-inches wide and 3-feet long, and possessed a mechanized shell-loading magazine tube/auto-reloader that will automatically feed shrapnel-burst shells or splinter-shells into the firing chamber of the six barrels all at once, immediately equipped in his right hand.

BANG!

Thunderously loud shots that rang out in an instant, accompanied the immediate explosive discharges of six splinter-shells all at once from the six barrels of the pump-action shotgun. While the blazing splinter-shells that had scattered apart in mid-air into penetrative high-speed splinters, piercingly struck with large amounts of force into the head and neck of a Magiwolf that was already charging for a long-range devastating magical attack that it wanted to unleash at Maxmillan.

Immediately it got blasted by the short-range subsonic shell splinters, its head and neck violently scattered off into countless smithereens before leaving behind a large mist of bright blue blood that erupted with full force into the air.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!...

Maxmillan unerringly aimed at the heads of Magiwolves that were about to shoot dazzling compacted bolts of Astra Mystralis at him, which then caused their heads and necks to burst into countless pieces that were immediately accompanied by forceful eruptions of blue blood.

After killing off numerous Magiwolves, with the pump-action shotgun suddenly running out of splinter-shells, he immediately returned it to his inventory for a full magazine reload by the Transmigrator Survival System.

The Magiwolves which were slightly intelligent and understood that their magical-attacks charging time were too slow for Maxmillan who wielded a tyrannical weapon that instantly killed them, immediately switched back to engaging him in battle using their claws, with the intent to deeply cut him, impale him, or slice him apart.

Roar!

One of them at the back that was larger in size and had eyes that shone with more intelligence, suddenly roared and struck at the air towards Maxmillan with one of its magical claws.

Immediately it did so, it instantly unleashed a brightly dazzling, silver-colored wave of power that radiated terrifying sharpness in all directions and caused the earth directly beneath it to immediately develop deep incisions and wide gashes all over its surface.

But Maxmillan who had peak-human reaction time/reflex, and could effortlessly leap to a height of 12 feet without acceleration, immediately exerted a lot of power on his powerful, peak-conditioned muscles and jumped really high into the air such that he reached a height of sixteen feet, totally evading the cutting, gashing and slicing power of the silvery radiative wave that bore alarming sharpness, which from what he saw as the wave traveled into the distance, would cleanly slice apart rocks that it may came across in its lacerative and incisional path.

And once Maxmillan landed to the ground from his really high jump, he couldn't help but gaze in amazement at the bigger Magiwolf that unleashed that devastating, sharpness-radiating attack at him.

Then very quickly, he produced the long-range flamethrower which he set to maximum power that would allow the flamethrower to shoot a thirty-feet long stream of flame for forty-five minutes, before entirely running out of twenty litres of its flame-generating liquid.

Also, he set it at super-focused spray mode that would allow the flamethrower to project a densely-compacted stream of flame that is one-inch wide.

As soon as Maxmillan deployed the weapon in his hands and set the flamethrower to those modes, he instantly unleashed a heavily compressed stream of flame at the Magiwolves which began to run about in fear of the really hot flame that instantly burned some of them that were struck by the focused flame-beam to ashes.

After running around in fear and horror for sometime, with the flame-beam chasing directly behind them and instantly turning the earth behind them to molten lava pools and puddles, the Magiwolves shot back to the cave that they previously emerged from to evade Maxmillan's unstoppable fiery onslaught.

While others, after Maxmillan set the flamethrower to ultra-diffused flame spray mode but at full power, which made the flamethrower release a violent stream of exceedingly hot flame that spread out for about thirty feet, fearfully dashed out from the valley to possibly never return.

As Maxmillan fought the Magiwolves and was forced to retaliate with some of the powerful weapons in his possession, the Sky Bridges Lord who floated above a particular mountain peak in the distance and watched all that Maxmillan did, broke an impressed but vicious devilish smile in his face.

"This will make for a good battle puppet! Can't wait to have my hands on him and transform him into a mindless but exceedingly strong puppet warrior. Hahaha!" He said and evilly cackled, while Maxmillan who was ready to head into the unnatural cave dug at the base of the mountain to wreak unbridled devastation in there and fully obliterate anyone that would appear in his path to oppose him, instantly picked up on the cruel diabolical words and sinister cackle that rang out the mouth of the Sky Bridges Lord with his powerful, peak-human auditory sense.

Then he looked with bitter hatred and wrath at the Sky Bridges Lord who couldn't help but be tremendously shocked that Maxmillan heard all that he mentioned, and at Maxmillan's terrifyingly cold gaze which totally felt like hundreds of raging icicles viciously piercing at his soul again and again before immediately vanishing off the mountain peak to await Maxmillan's arrival within the cave.
