Li Wanruo's Past

After arriving to the other side of the auction house that was restricted to staffs only, Li Wanruo came to the monitoring room and told everyone to leave.

Looking at the resolute appearance of Li Wanruo, everyone thought that something serious was about to happen, so they all obeyed and left quickly without looking back.

After double checking to make sure that everyone had left the monitoring room, Li Wanruo started to stare at the monitor screen, or more specifically, she was staring at one specific person in general.

That's right, she was staring at Ronald through the screen intensely.

Looking at how serious Ronald had looked, she couldn't help but subconsciously grin widely.

She knew that Ronald wasn't afraid of her at all despite her backing.

In her previous life, she had remembered when she first kicked Ronald out of the auction house and severely beaten him up for all the trouble he's caused inside of the auction house.

However, while she was beating him up she had noticed that the way he looked was a bit weird despite the fact that he should be in complete agony, which made her confused.

Contrary to the miserable state he was in, he had a... smug look on his face?

Li Wanruo couldn't help but think to herself if Ronald was a masochist or something like that, but she quickly got rid of that thought as not even a masochist would feel pleasure from the pain that she was dishing out.

So she just assumed this was his way of mocking her, and so she got extremely irritated and punched Ronald so hard that there was no way for even a peaked human being with no cultivation base to survive that, let alone Ronald.

She was a bit worried at the time after realizing that she had killed Ronald cause she's heard the rumors about how Ronald's father valued his son way too much and although she wasn't worried about the Kuangge family destroying her, she was worried that she wouldn't be able to protect all of the people she wanted to protect if the Kuangge family went mad and started targetting them.

So she did what she thought was the most logical thing at the time and got her subordinates to dispose of him while she headed back to the auction house to find Ye Fan in order to work out a negotiation deal with him because her instinct was teling her that there was more to Ye Fan than what just meets the eye.

Just after she had gotten acquainted and had reached an agreement with Ye Fan stating that she will help him build up his influence in China in return for her to protect all the ones she cared about and also start helping her building further connections overseas, one of her subordinate reported back to her that Ronald's body had gone missing.

After she had investigated and learned that Ronald somehow miraculously survived that hit, she didn't think much about it at the time and only assumed that he somehow got really lucky.

But little did she know that had already started developing a slight curiosity towards him.

Even after realizing that Ronald had survived her beatings, she still wanted to work with Ye Fan after she learnt how influential he was and she wanted to start spreading her influence overseas as well.

Just as she was leisurely taking a walk on the streets the next day with a white mask that completely covered her entire face so that nobody bothered her, she was utterly shocked when she saw a group of gangsters went inside to one of the biggest hotel in China and were approaching Ye Fan looking like they wanted to beat him up.

Li Wanruo wasn't shocked at the group of gangsters though, what made her actually shocked was that the person leading those gangsters, Ronald, looked absolutely fine and didn't even seem hurt at all.

It was as if he never gotten beat up by her to begin with.

This made her curiosity peak up quite a bit cause she felt like, no she knew that Ronald definitely wasn't as simple as he had looked.

So she decided not to intervene and watched on the sidelines to see what Ronald was going to do next.

While Ye Fan was absolutely destroy the group of gangsters, she saw Xie Roulin also pull up with her subordinates in order to help Ye Fan out, disperse the crowd that had already formed, and beat up Ronald.

Albeit the beating on Ronald this time wasn't as bad compared to when she was doing it, she still didn't understand about his ignorance and why he looked like he rarely had a scared expression while he was getting beaten up.

Perhaps Ronald was a masochist after all?

After Ye Fan and Xie Roulin talked to each other for a few minutes and walked away to go someplace else together, she didn't follow them but wanted to see for herself what would happen to Ronald.

And to her surprise, a few minutes later she saw Ronald get up and look around the hotel lobby while glancing at the gangsters on the floor, sighed, and walked away from the scene like he had nothing to do with it.

Li Wanruo couldn't believe it at all, how could someone who had just looked so miserable just a few minutes ago look so completely refreshed.

Ever since then, she had been staring at Ronald very closely in order to see what he was hiding and what his purpose was while still working with Ye Fan for the benefits of both parties.

But as the years had continued on, she became more and more curious about Ronald, which eventually made her subconsciously fell in love with him, whilst still being confused about what he was doing.

She just couldn't understand why Ronald keeps pretending to get beaten up or pretending to be like an idiot almost every other day.

Yes, she knew Ronald was pretending to be like an idiot because all the other times he wasn't interacting with Ye Fan or one of the women he had cooperated with, Ronald looked to be quite a sensible guy.

'Wait... Ye Fan?' Suddenly Li Wanruo came to the realization of something.

Every time Ronald got face slapped or acted like an idiot out in the public, it always had something to do with Ye Fan or one of the women he was working with.

Li Wanruo then started connecting the dots together and that's when she realized something.

Ronald definitely knew something about Ye Fan that nobody else was aware of.

So she couldn't help but start to get suspicious at Ye Fan and started to terminate all the contracts and the cooperation she had with him in case he was poisonous.

But by the time she could fully do so, one of her subordinate that was suppose to be keeping tabs on Ronald suddenly announced to her that Ronald committed suicide.

Although she should have not cared so much about his death, she didn't know why but all her emotions started to come out of once, guilt, sadness, hopelessness, depression, and immeasurable sadness.

For the first couple of days after Ronald's death, at first she thought that those feelings would eventually go away and she'll return back to her normal state in no time, but those feelings ended growing bigger and bigger until she eventually couldn't hold back her feeling any longer and headed over to Luna in order to kill her and avenge Ronald.

When she confronted Luna, it seemed like a lot of other women had the same idea and demanded an explaination from her.

After hearing her explaination, Li Wanruo had realized that what Ronald had done this entire time was try and protect her and everyone else from falling in the hands of the devil, Ye Fan.

And so of course Luna had explained everything what happened, everyone teamed up to kill Ye Fan, and then went on their seperate ways.

Li Wanruo on the other hand was still extremely depressed about Ronald and spent the rest of her life becoming more powerful and influential in the secluded cultivation world with only one goal in mind, finding something that would be able to ressurect Ronald back from the dead.

She spent hundreds and hundreds of years scouring for any cultivation techniques to the point where she extremely obsessed with being able to get her hands on anything that might've given her a clue on how to ressurect someone that she had caused unnecessary deaths and murdered millions of people before being teamed up on and got killed.

'I... I can't die. Not until he comes back...'

[Why haven't you given up yet?]

'Who... who are you, and why do you sound just like me...?'

[It doesn't matter who I am, now answer my question.]

'It's because I want to see him again.'

[It's weird, don't you think? You help contributed to his downfall, and now you want to resurrect him back to life?]

'Why... do you know this...'

[Doesn't matter, but did you regret it?]

'Yeah... I really did.'

[I see.]

'...'

I'd like to assume that some people are scratching their heads wondering what Ye Fan had actually done in order to anger every heroine and I know my brief summary of "plotting against the Kuangge family" as mentioned in chapter 4 won't cut it out for some people, but don't worry since I plan on slowly revealing bit by bit (although not any time soon) as more and more chapters get released.

Also one more thing, would you guys rather I spend an entire chapter just like this chapter explaining what had happened to each of the heroines in their past life and how they have come to love the Ronald now or would you guys rather I keep it brief and simple just like how I had done it with Luna and Xie Roulin?

By the way thanks for reading!
