"I don't care about your other shitty maids, I clearly said that I wanted the one who splashed water on me, are you deaf or something?" Ronald pointed at Iris and said overbearingly.

Ronald remembered that in his previous life, the day after he had gotten kicked out of the auction house, Ye Fan sent Iris over to the Kuangge residence in order to monitor Ronald and dig out more information about the Kuangge family as Ye Fan believed the Kuangge family might've known the culprit that caused his family's downfall.

But now that the plot has slightly changed compared to his previous life, knowing Ye Fan's personality by now, ever since he got humiliated in the banquet, Ye Fan must've ordered Iris in advance to try and earn Ronald's trust by pretending to care for him on the outside.

Otherwise why would Iris go this far in order to protect him?

There's absolutely no other reason besides that.

So Ronald thought he might as well try and bring Iris to his side a day earlier so he doesn't have to wait for her tomorrow to show up at his doorsteps.

And on the plus side of things, if Iris does end up eventually following him back home today, then he can be reassured knowing that Ye Fan had actually ordered Iris in advance to stay with him, which also allows him to confirm that the plot hasn't actually deviated entirely yet, just slightly changed.

Even though the plot might be slightly different than the original plot this time around, but as long as he can still progress future plots smoothly, then why not do it.

This was also his 'genius' idea that had popped up in his mind earlier.

Just as Ronald was prepared to have a long heated argument with Li Wanruo and perhaps even get beaten up and thrown out of the auction house, to his surprise, she agreed unhesitatingly.

"Okay, since you want her that badly, I'll hand her over to you." Li Wanruo didn't really want Iris to lurk around Ronald just in the previous life, but she saw the determined look in his eyes.

It's her beloved that wants something, how could she possibility not agree to it?

Li Wanruo was aware of the risks she was taking by letting Iris stay by Ronald's side, she knew that Iris wouldn't do anything to Ronald yet.

Although this was the outcome Ronald had wanted, he couldn't help but still feel weirded out by this entire thing and couldn't help but get nervous again.

'Why did she agree so easily?'

'Couldn't she at least try and maintain her prestige by denying me for a while?'

"That's what I thought! This maid belongs to me now and you're not allow to take her back, you hear me?" Even though Ronald still felt something wrong in his heart, he couldn't really go back on his words now and laughed in an extreme arrogant manner.

Iris, seeing that Li Wanruo just smiled at Ronald and looked like she didn't plan on doing anything else finally eased up.

Despite the fact that she had eased up, when she turned her head towards Ronald's back, she couldn't help but start shedding tears although she tried her best to hold back.

Time and time again no matter when or where or what life it was, Ronald had always been secretly helping her out even though he knew it was unfavorable for him.

Every time she had thought back to the time where she had plotted with Ye Fan in order to harm Ronald, she felt like a thousand needles had stabbed her heart and just wanted to strangle Ye Fan to death.

After seeing Iris start crying after what Ronald had just said, everyone looked at Ronald like he was the complete scum of the earth.

'Wow! I have to admit, even though she's a killer her acting is insane. I didn't even know she could act this well in her previous life.' Ronald silently gave Iris a thumbs up, thanks to her pretending to look like a pitiful girl coupled with her beautiful looks, she had truly made Ronald seem like an actual villain and an asshole now.

Ronald was even more glad now knowing that the plot hasn't deviated at all and can still continue on smoothly.

Just as Li Wanruo was about to turn back around and leave, there was a sudden voice that echoed throughout the entire auction house.

"Miss Wanruo, are you really just going to leave it like this? Not only did Ronald cause you trouble in the auction house and disturbed the mood of all your customers, but he also humiliated you in front of the entire crowd." Ye Fan knew that this was his time to make a comeback and shine.

Everyone at the auction hall started to get the chills for a brief second after hearing what Ye Fan had said as they didn't want the topic to continue any longer, however they admitted that what Ye Fan had stated was pretty logical.

Also including the fact that Ronald had offended Li Wanruo multiple times and didn't get punished for it, some people were about to speak out and voice in their own complaints towards Ronald, however everyone swallowed back their breaths after Li Wanruo had suddenly turned back around and released an intense pressuring aura.

"I'm the owner of this auction house, am I not? If I see you talk one more time, you'll be facing some serious consequences." Li Wanruo glared at Ye Fan and said in a cold tone.

Even though Li Wanruo really wanted to kill Ye Fan right now so he can't harm Ronald later down the road, she knew the forces behind him were much stronger than her cultivation family right now, so she could only suppress this idea for now and turned her eyes towards Ronald.

'Ronald... I can't believe we've met again like this. Although you don't know anything right now, don't worry my sweetheart, I promise you that you'll never suffer again.' Li Wanruo really wanted to be by Ronald's side but she knew that if she doesn't get stronger now, she won't be able to protect him from the upcoming harm.

So Li Wanruo could only turn around and leave now with a gloomy expression.

After watching Li Wanruo leave, everyone including Ronald and Ye Fan was left dumbfounded.

Nobody had a single clue what just happened, but nobody dared to say anything anyways and just got ready for the auction to finally start.

While Ronald was walking back to his VIP booth, he had a grim look on his face.

'What Ye Fan had stated was correct, so why did she get mad at him just because he asked a question while she didn't even raise her voice at me even though I've offended her multiple times?

'I can't tell at this point... has the plot deviated yet or am I just think too much here?'

'I swear I'm actually starting to hate this second life more and more.'
