Ironhide's POV: I had just finished sparring with sideswipe outside when I saw a child run across the street almost being hit by a car. I noticed there were a man and a woman in the background arguing with each other, As their argument turned violent and physical, The man reached for the gun in his back pocket and proceeds to shoot the woman in the chest several times before running down a dark alleyway.

"Sideswipes POV" Me and Ironhide rushed over to where the woman was laying down as a pool of blood began seeping out from beneath her body. "Ironhide POV" Ma'am Just hang on Paramedics are on their way, Whatever you don't fall asleep on us just yet. "Unknown women's POV" Please I don't have much time left, I need you to promise me that you will look after my daughter and take care of her and love her like you would love your child. I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but she was not one of them please take care of her for me and tell her mommy wishes that she could be there but she can't anymore. The woman takes her final breath of air and fades away, never to come back to life. "Ironhide's POV" I was deeply saddened by the thought of this child growing up without a mother but I knew I had to fulfill the dying woman's wishes and raise the child on my own surrounded by friends and family." Sideswipes POV" so what are you going to do Ironhide, maybe we should tell Optimus what happened he will know what to do. Ironhide's POV" As much as I don't want to tell Optimus I'm afraid I'm left with no choice but to tell him I only worry about the outcome. I'm afraid he'll make me give her up to a different family, I already promised her mother that I would take care of her I'm not going back on that, So if Optimus makes me give her up then I'll just leave and I'll raise her by myself. I realized I never asked what the child's name is, so I turned around to look for the child only to see she is hugging my leg and would not let go. What is your name Sweet child, "Child's POV" My name is Melody what's your name. "Ironhide's POV" My name is Ironhide, protector of your planet from the Decepticons, and my friend's name is Sideswipe. He is a bit of a trickster so just keep your guard around him. How about us all go inside and I'll introduce you to the rest of my friends, the Autobots, and to my leader Optimus Prime, I'm sure he would love to get to know you better (A/N Melody is 5 years old in the story if anybody is interested.). As the three of them made their way back inside the base, they were greeted by Optimus Prime leader of the Autobots. "Optimus Prime POV" Ironhide, How did your training with Sideswipe go? I hope he did not beat you too badly, I know how it can be when you get old. "Ironhide POV" I am not that old, Ratchet is older than me. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a wrench goes sailing through the air and hits me in the back of the head, with such force that it creates a dent. "Melodies POV" I let out a small giggle which draws everybody's attention from Ironhide down to me. Optimus noticed the small bundle that Ironhide was holding in his large hands. "Ironhide's POV" She doesn't have any parents, Her mother was shot to death outside by a horrible excuse of a human father. The mother's last wish was that I raise Melody and love her like I would love my daughter. If you can't accept that, then I will leave with Melody and I will never come back. "Optimus Primes POV" I put my hands up in defense, I never said she has to leave Ironhide, I agree that Melody should stay here and that you should raise her like her mother would have wanted if she were alive right now."Ironhide's POV " Then it's settled, she will stay here with us until she comes of age and explores the world on her own.p ok
