Transcending Reality: The Singularity's Awakening

“In the realm of fiction, the mind unfurls its imaginative wings, conjuring desires and worlds beyond our grasp. It offers a sanctuary, an escape from a somber reality, or perhaps a glimpse into the lives we long for. What if this tapestry of imagination became tangible, every desire a reality, and you the central character of an extraordinary tale? Would it remain fiction, or would it meld with the essence of reality? Picture the liberation of detachment, stepping into a world that mirrors your dreams. As you ascend or descend into its depths, what unfolds is a journey beyond the ordinary—a journey through the boundless realms of your own creation.” Disclaimer I own my idea and world building and og characters https://www.patreon.com/BeyondTheWriter there will be updates about the novel there until I understand how to build a community.

Chapter 3 Caught By Everyone

New York City

Inside a coffee shop, Alvis Bright sat drinking coffee and eating donuts. Across from him was Agent Coulson, the Chief of Starter Village for any Marvel Fanfiction.

"You said your name is Alvis Bright and you're an innocent civilian. So why can't we find anything about you in any database in the world? Why were you caught on cameras at the crime site, and why did the hostages mention a superhero who helped them?"

Agent Coulson asked, a speechless smile on his face.

This morning, Director Fury informed him about a superpowered suspect who had taken down a human trafficking gang in Hell's Kitchen, stolen money, and saved some people.

"Yes, you've got the wrong person," Alvis replied, maintaining a straight face. He was truly speechless. Since when do gangs have cameras, especially when they're involved in trafficking humans?

Since his arrival yesterday, Alvis had discovered that he was penniless. When Andrew Smith's son offered him money, he couldn't bring himself to accept any more help. It was embarrassing.

So, like any superpower user Marvel character short on cash, he had gone to Hell's Kitchen, greeted some gangs, eliminated those he deemed cancerous to humanity, and saved some people along the way.

In the depressed atmosphere, Coulson opened a suitcase that he had with him and took out photos showing Alvis with an angry face, raising both hands, while a human body was being ripped apart.

Alvis's expression remained unchanged as he looked at the photos. He despised human trafficking to the core. The idea of selling one's own kind for money disgusted him. Without a hint of emotion in his voice, Alvis spoke, "They deserved to die, and if it happens again, I will do the same thing."

"So you're a hero," Coulson said, looking up at Alvis's face, searching for any emotions.

"No, I'm not. I'm just a human who witnessed his race being betrayed," Alvis replied.

"Coulson, give him the headset," Fury's voice sounded in Coulson's ears.

"Yes, Director Fury," Coulson responded, taking off one headset and giving it to Alvis.

Taking the headset from Coulson, Alvis put it on without overthinking. If Nick Fury, the calculating guy, wanted to start a fight with a superpowered individual without proper information, then that wasn't the Nick Fury he knew.

"Hello, Alvis Bright. I'm Nick Fury, Head of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division. I don't know who or what you are," Fury paused before continuing his speech.

"But if you're going to stay on Earth, you need to follow Earth's laws. You can't go around ripping humans apart just because you don't like them.

We understand they've done wrong, but having superpowers doesn't give you the right to kill them.

There are laws in place to judge them, and laws need to be followed. So, what do you have to say about that, Alvis Bright?"

Nick Fury knew that Alvis wasn't a human being, or more precisely, he wasn't from Earth.

After the police received reports from the hostages about a superhero who helped them, the officers found Alvis's Massacre at the crime scene suspicious. So They contacted their superiors, leading to a call to the headquarters and involving Fury.

As a typical agent, Fury instructed his team to search for information about Alvis's identity using only his photo. However, they couldn't find any official records of a dark-skinned individual named Alvis Bright.

What made Fury even more certain that Alvis wasn't from Earth, despite his human appearance, was the fact that there was only one picture of him, and it was taken just yesterday.

With these two pieces of information, anyone could deduce that Alvis had been born in an institution and used as a subject for human experiments. Eventually, he escaped from the institute with superpowers, but to Fury's knowledge, there hadn't been any recent breaches.

The other possibility was that Alvis wasn't from Earth at all. However, Fury couldn't understand why an alien would be angered by humans being trafficked.

"As I told Coulson, my name is Alvis Bright. I'm human from Earth. But I never said I'm from this Earth or this timeline," Alvis replied. Seeing that the situation was not favorable for him in his weakened state, Alvis dropped the act and prepared to fabricate the best lie he could come up with.

But before he could continue speaking, Alvis abruptly jumped from his chair, reacting like a rabbit sensing its predator approaching. A golden circle appeared near him and Coulson, swallowing them both.

"Coulson, what's happening?" Fury's high-pitched voice sounded in Coulson's ears and reached Alvis.

"Director, you wouldn't believe what's happening," Coulson answered, filled with confusion and bewilderment.

"What do you mean?" Fury's confusion escalated upon learning that Coulson's location had disappeared. He knew that GPS technology could work even in Antarctica under freezing temperatures.

"We were swallowed by a magical circle, and it seems our suspect Alvis knows what's happening," Coulson replied, still trying to make sense of the situation.

"Why do you say that, Coulson?" Fury's curiosity broke through the rooftop.

"Because he sat down with the kidnapper, and they're having tea," Coulson said, his confusion evident. Being kidnapped wasn't an everyday occurrence, but having tea with the kidnapper was beyond bizarre, even for him.

"Hey, Coulson, come here, try the tea. It's tasty. And Fury, don't worry about it.

Hello, respectful Sorcerer Supreme, can I know why I'm being kidnapped? Hey, don't use the Time Gem on me!" Alvis once again jumped from his seat, seeking refuge behind Coulson.

"You seem to know a lot, Alvis Bright. What weird anomaly are you? If you hadn't mentioned that you're not from this Earth and timeline, and severed our whole timeline from the past, I wouldn't have noticed you. Can you please satisfy my curiosity, Alvis Bright? How did you do it?" The Sorcerer Supreme, known as the Ancient One, looked at Alvis with confusion.

It was her first time witnessing something like this happening to the timeline. Playing with time was always counterproductive, never productive. Causality worked on everyone, but with Alvis, it severed all possibilities of countering.

"...Close the Time Gem first... Thanks... 'Scary woman'... To tell you the truth, Sorcerer Supreme, I was thrown here with little explanation. I don't know why I'm here, and I can't tell you the explanation. But what I can tell you is that I'm from Earth, a human being who just wants to live,"

Alvis sat down with a sigh and sadness, closing his eyes, waiting for his death or exile, maybe even imprisonment.

He hated being in a weaker position. First Xeir, then agents, and now a magician. Many thoughts raced through his mind.

On the other side, Coulson and Fury sensed something fishy about the situation. As agents, they didn't share their thoughts or speak. They let the supernatural beings speak first.

A minute or so passed, and Alvis opened his eyes to see the Ancient One smiling. Confused, he asked her, "Um, Sorcerer Supreme?"

"Yes, Alvis Bright?"

"No exile or imprisonment?"

"Do you prefer any of them?"

"No, thanks."

"To tell the truth, Alvis, I don't know what to do about you. Your situation is quite special, so I'm going to gamble and leave you alone. You seem to be telling the truth," the Ancient One said.

The Ancient One knew that Alvis hadn't revealed the full truth, but the Eye of Agamotto flickered with golden sparks, indicating that Alvis had mostly spoken truthfully.

She also understood more about causality and time itself, realizing that being able to counter it meant that there were higher forces at play, or perhaps Alvis himself was a higher force. From what she observed, it seemed to be the latter.

At that moment, Coulson coughed, grabbing the attention of both the Ancient One and Alvis, startling Coulson.

"If I may ask, who are both of you, and what is your business on Earth?" Coulson asked, his forehead sweaty.

He and Fury were grappling with the same question following their previous conversation with Alvis and this magician called the Sorcerer Supreme. Both individuals seemed to possess supernatural powers and knowledge.

Before the Ancient One could answer, Alvis spoke up. "I'm Alvis Bright. You could say I'm from a future timeline of Earth, and I was forced here against my will. And she is the Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme from Kamar-Taj, the protector of the materialistic world from other dimensions and dimensional demons."

"Alvis, you seem quite knowledgeable," the Ancient One remarked, gazing deeply at Alvis, which made him laugh in embarrassment, lifting his head to the ceiling.

Oh, what a good-looking ceiling. Amidst his thoughts, Alvis had an idea. What would happen if he combined the processing and descriptive powers of his status?

T(Description) X P(Process)+Knowledge(M+∞)

Ding Status upgraded. Huh.

Alvis's face dropped from the ceiling view, a deep shock appearing on his face. This puzzled both Coulson, who was questioning reality in his mind, and the Ancient One, who was observing Alvis intently.

Alvis didn't bother to speak to them. His thoughts were consumed by his newfound revelation.

'FUCK Yeah! Finally, this can make everything easier! Hahahaha! Omnipotence is around the corner. Shit, 50 percent is gone for the combination, but I seem to have discovered something. Process can produce talent. This is broken. Is this just for me, or can all Singularities do it too?'

Alvis giggled like a mentally ill patient for a moment, but then stopped after thinking about the singularities. It was a depressing idea for him to dwell on.

"You seem quite happy, Alvis. Did something good happen?" the Ancient One asked with an emotionless face.

She couldn't understand the sudden switch from embarrassment and confusion to sudden happiness and then depression. She thought that a dimensional demon god had taken over Alvis's mind.

she Knows that the magical circle around Earth was still functioning, and she wondered when these demons had the audacity to do something right in front of her.

Fury, asking Coulson what was happening, received the answer that Alvis had gone crazy.

"Yeah, I discovered the truth about something that happened to me," Alvis answered the doubts of both the Ancient One and Coulson, without explaining further. He appraised both the Ancient One and Coulson.

Alvis slowly turned his head to the Ancient One.

"Master Ancient One, do you accept students? I can cook, I can clean too."

"No, Alvis, I won't accept you as an apprentice. But you can study here," the Ancient One replied.

She didn't accept him as her apprentice but didn't close the door of magic to him either. Alvis accepted her offer with an open heart.

"Ancient One, I have a question. Can I still speak about future information?" Upon hearing this question, Coulson and Nick Fury in the headquarters hoped for the answer to be yes. They shifted their heads to the Ancient One, waiting for her response.

"You can... Your existence severed the timeline of this universe to its root. The future cannot be precognition anymore. Any decision made will not lead to the creation of parallel universes. This universe, right now, could be the happiest..."

With a sigh, the Ancient One spoke. She had seen parallel universes, the multiverse war, and Kang the Conqueror, but she couldn't stop them from happening. It was a fixed fate for all universes, and Alvis appearing had severed it.

"Fury, is your connection secured?" Alvis asked.

"Yes, it is. Coulson and my connection is secured and off the record," Fury replied.

"Help me get all the needed certificates and some cash. I will give you some information about the future," Alvis said.

"Why do you think I would believe you?" Fury asked in a low voice. He quite believed what the Ancient One and Alvis had talked about, but he still maintained his character of not believing everything.

In just a few words, Alvis broke Fury's defenses. "Avengers, Orange Cat, Pager. Enough?"

"Tomorrow, your certificate will be ready," Nick Fury believed that Alvis was either from the future or from a parallel universe.

As Fury processed the Avengers idea and the significance of the orange cat and the pager, Coulson, on the other hand, witnessed everything but didn't understand anything.

He only remembered that Fury had a raised orange cat, wondering if it had a special meaning.

"Ancient One, can you return us to the coffee shop?" Alvis asked, realizing that he couldn't return there by flying. The Ancient One simply tapped the tables twice, and a circle swallowed Alvis and Coulson, teleporting them back to the coffee shop.

Noticing that the people inside the shop didn't notice their return, Alvis bid farewell to Coulson, who was still processing the teleportation, after paying for their coffee. He then walked towards the New York Library, his next destination.
