Chapter 1 - Where it All Began

The superpowered world as the people knew it, crumbled. April 15th, 2120. All Might had perished in his battle with a group of Villains that go by the name, League of Villains.

The world was devastated, Japan especially. They lost their best defender and it happened so fast. That morning, they were all smiling, cheerfully as All Might gave a speech to news outlets.

And that same night, their most powerful, most influential hero.. Passed away brutally.

The only remains the other heroes had found of him were his head through a spike, his other body parts either obliterated or taken… No one knows, but the public's view of the League of Villains is exactly as expected, full of hate.

TOKYO, JAPAN. MARCH 15th 2135. (Sixteen years before canon.)

Vagabond. A family name known throughout the syndicate crime world so well, that a single mention of their name is capable of ending any conflict.

Arnold Vagabond, blessed with Immense Super Strength comparable to prime All-Might, he was the ringleader for their organization, Helios.

And right now, such a man was aiding his beautiful wife in giving birth to his children.

Amelia Vagabond, married and took on his name, she was his princess. His ride or die in the dark world he operated. With her quirk of basic healing, she was a necessity as healing quirks are 1:200000, making her a rather important figure.

Her relationship with Arnold alone was enough to give her high levels of importance, but with her quirk in the mix… She was definitely the queen of the board.

"I see their heads.. Push harder!" Arnold encouraged, letting his wife squeeze his hand as she threw her head back with a grunt. Pushing with all her might, Arnold quickly let go as a child almost flew out and off the bed.

"Woah- Holy shit." He stammered, going wide eyed as he saw another head peeking out from between his wifes legs.

"T-There's another one! Get it!" Amelia exclaimed, the pain in her voice clear as day. Arnold felt a bead of sweat pool down his face as he hastily, but carefully placed his first born on the table. Then turning to retrieve his second child.

"Waaaah!" This one breaks out into a shrill, painful cry but soon dies down as Arnold wraps the baby in a thin, soft towel.

"They're beautiful… And they're twins! Haha! Who would've thought…" He marvels, placing the second child next to his first born. The first one has short, silverish hair with gray eyes, resembling him the most.

And the baby's gender being a male made his heart flutter with relief. He at least wanted one male child so he could have someone to take his place in his line of work, not that a girl couldn't do it, but it was just preferred.

Looking at his second born, he found that this one was a girl, dirty blonde hair with golden-yellow eyes. Just like her mother. Amelia shines with a translucent, yellowish green glow as her quirk activates.

Her shallow breathing instantly returns into a healthier, deep heave of breaths while the bags that were forming under her eyes dissipate as if they were never there in the first place.

She sits up, stretching as she does so.

"Whew, that was an experience. Felt worse than that time I got my arm cut off." She chuckles, reaching out towards her children. Arnold got the memo and handed over the firstborn as he laughs lightly, remembering the scene she's talking about.

"Yeah~ I don't know about that. You weren't screaming like a mad man this time around. Eyes stayed put too." He teases with a slick smirk. Amelia rolls her eyes but doesn't say anything to refute his words.

"Can you give me the other one? I want to see them together." Arnold nods, handing over the baby girl in his hands. Amelia smiles as the two children look up at her with big, curious eyes.

"They're so pretty… Especially the young man." Arnold leans over her bedside, trying to see what she sees but he stills sees his daughter as being prettier.

"What? No, he's cute, but little Lily is prettier. Plus, we want Arthur to be manly anyway… Being pretty would just make his life harder." He laughs sarcastically, shaking his head at his wife's words.

Amelia pouts, still finding her son to be prettier. "Whatever, he'll grow into his looks. Same with Lily. In fact, you might be right…" She drawls off, taking a longer look at her daughter. Arnold laughs for real this time as he walks over to the window.

Being on the thirteenth floor of his wifes hospital building gave them quite the view of Tokyo. It's pedestrians pettering around like little ants while crime was at its all time high it's ever been in the last four decades, was a surprise to him. He figured the streets would be emptier but it seems like they got busier.

"Uh, Arnold?!" Amelia suddenly calls out to her husband, the fear and concern in her voice causing his heart to drop and a frown to caress his rough face. He spins around, questioning what was wrong but stops in his tracks when he sees his son, Arthur, glowing a bright blinding white.

The light died down within the next few second, and as it dispersed, a pinkish white trail ran through his entire body. Lighting up his nervous system with lightning like flashes.

"W-What was that?!" She questions, fearing for her sons life. Lily was safe, nothing happened to her, but the weird energy that he son radiated was special to him.

"Was that someones quirk??" She asks once again, but Arnold is lost in thought. 'Maybe it's signifying a strong quirk within him? The first ever recorded quirk was just like that light… Maybe it's the same?' He muled it over but he couldn't come to an acceptable conclusion.

"I-I don't know… scan him, see if anything changed." His wife nods, ignoring the shame she felt for not thinking of that first. She placed a hand on his forehead and closed her eyes, her quirk activated as a translucent yellowish-green light washed over Arthur.

As soon as the scan ended, her eyes widened to an unbelievable degree.

"T-The energy. H-His- What? Hows that possible?!" She questions herself, truly amazed at the spectacle before her. Arnold appears at her side in an instant. Taking her hand in his.

"What's wrong? Tell me what you saw!" He demands, his own worry bleeding through his voice.

Amelia looks up at her husband, her face breaking into an unsure smile. "H-He awakened… His quirk already manifested."

Arnold dropped her hand as his hand launched to his mouth. A frown taking over his face as he fell into thought once more.

"T-That's impossible. It's unheard of.. Unless, no, that's not possible. Are you sure it was his quirk and not someone else's at play?" Amelia shakes her head, her eyes relaying her honesty.

Arnold collapses in a nearby chair, lost for words.

"Holy shit… And what about Lily? Did she manifest too?"

"Let me see… No, she's perfectly fine. It's just him." Pinching the bridge of his nose, he sighs. Unsure what to be feeling. One part of him is telling him that this was to be expected, especially since it's his kid. But the other part of him is worried that someone is playing a trick on him, that his son is actually the target of someone else's quirk.

Amelia senses his inner turmoil and reaches out for his hand. Grasping it with her own, she smiles reassuringly. "It's HIS quirk. Not anyone else's… Our son manifested at the ripe age of five minutes old."
