Obsessed with beauty
Fan Xifeng, for the nth time, was lost in thought again. Han Ziwei's parents came to visit her! How?! Why?!
Although the flashing memories from that dream confused the hell out of Fan Xifeng, slowly, she started to accept them. How could she not when they're actually happening in her reality!
Even if her reaction to this strange occurrences is surprisingly calm but it doesn't really mean that she's not shocked, bewildered and even at times, in disbelief of it. However, some parts of that dream happened and she could no longer ignore it. However, Fan Xifeng could remember that she was only able to meet Han Ziwei's parents the night of their supposed, engagement party! So how come that they're here today?!
She never got the chance to research about it last night because of what happened and soon, she fell asleep afterwards. When she woke up, her mother came in and afterwards, her sister. She's too preoccupied with dealing with her family while also dealing with her wandering thoughts. Fan Xifeng has the urged to scream and messed and pull her hair just like how a mad woman would!
Because from that dream and with what's happening, she felt like she too is indeed, almost losing her sanity!
Wait…. Is it? Is it because she had that strange real like dream and she even tried to integrate that dream in her actual reality is because in fact, she's slowly losing her sanity? Is it the sign and symptoms of her slowly turning into a mad woman? Is she…after all, just having her hallucination? Or is she currently caught in the bubble of delusion?
Is it also normal that a person going crazy is aware that she indeed, is going crazy?!
"God what's happening to me?!" Fan Xifeng felt like having a wave of emotional break down.
After some time, she calmed herself. Right, she needs to see a psychiatrist. Maybe she had that dream because true to her mother's words on the plane last night, she's having a stage fright. But wait, how come that the situations from that dream, except for some minor changes actually happened in her reality?! But how sure is she that she's actually living in her own reality? That at the moment, this is her reality?!
Fan Xifeng closed her eyes before inhaling rather too deeply. And breathed out rather too slowly. She stayed like for quite a time before jumping off her bed remembering that there are people waiting for her downstairs.
Meanwhile, while Fan Xifeng was changing upstairs, the Han couple were already seated sipping on their tea while waiting for their future daughter in law.
"I thought that the two of you were still on your luxurious world tour?" Jing Huaxi asked Su Meixi.
"We are, in fact. But, your future son in law especially asked for us to return back here in the country just so we could welcome and get to know dear Fengfeng for him. We couldn't deny his request because we, the old people would also like to see our future daughter in law." Su Meixi smiled happily and expectant.
When Su Meixi wandered her eyes on the stairs from time to time, her eyes caught a figure receding downstairs.
"Oh she's here." Su Meixi heard Jing Huaxi whispered to Fan Bin. Assuming by that line that Jing Huaxi is talking about her daughter in law, she observed the young woman with hawkeyed. After the young woman finally reached the living area and Su Meixi has took a careful look at her, she tried to hide her disappointments.
Look wise, the young woman looks average, she's not ugly but she's also not that beautiful. Her appearance if put in public, would only get overlook. Above all else, why is it that this young woman looks nothing like Jing Huaxi or even Fan Bin. The couple's look were both top-notched so how could they produced this average looking young woman and soon to be her average looking future in daughter in law?
Su Meixi looked over once more, at least her skin is very fair, Su Meixi sighed in regret. For a woman who is obsessed about physical beauty and aesthetics, somehow, she is somewhat disappointed.
'It's okay', she assured herself. They have money, she will find the best beautician to beautify this young woman.' No one is born ugly, just born poor.' Su Meixi frowned. This line do not suit the young woman though, as she is a princess of the Fan family. 'That's okay, I'm just expecting for too much. I do not need to worry for the appearances of my grandchildren since my eldest son is the most handsome man I had ever seen. Even more handsome than my husband, fu fu fu.'
Su Meixi stood up to greet her future daughter in law. But she was surprised, in a good way, by Jing Huaxi's next words. "Meixi, I don't know if you have met our youngest daughter but she's here. Fan Xiaodan, Fan Xifeng's younger sister." Jing Huaxi introduced with a gentle smile.
"Oh silly me!" Su Meixi unconsciously uttered.
"Hmm?" Jing Huaxi asked.
"Well I thought she's Fengfeng. But anyway, so this is your youngest daughter? I have never seen her so I was a bit confused and thought that she's Fengfeng. Ha ha." Su Meixi looks happy and….it's obvious to everyone she looks relieved. After all, almost everyone in the Capital knew the fact that the wife of Han Boyuan, Su Meixi, is the most obsessed with physical appearance. Despite of this perks, Su Meixi is not really a bad person but, there's a story on why the Su madam is obsessed with beauty and that's a taboo topic in the capital.
Fan Xiaodan controlled her hatred and just loosely closed her fist although this do not passed the observation of the Fan old master. His eyebrow raised.
Jing Huaxi on the other hand awkwardly laugh but couldn't say something because in front of her is her eldest daughter's future mother in law. She couldn't act rashly. The matter concerns the marriage life of her daughter and above anything else, she wants to form a good relationship with her (Fan Xifeng) future mother in law so she won't suffer any grievance from her (Fan Xifeng) husband's family.
Jing Huaxi looked at her youngest daughter, guiltily. But at the end of the day, she couldn't prioritize her (Fan Xiaodan) feelings over her (Fan Xiaodan) older sister's future. She'll make it up with other things. After all, when her older sister move out, she will have few years left to stay with them until she would also later be married to another good family.
"Finally!" The old madam Fan loudly exclaimed. Jing Huaxi saw her mother in law walked towards the stairs. When she looked up, she saw her eldest daughter, with no make up she still managed to look fresh and beautiful, too beautiful even Jing Huaxi would stop and look at her to relax.
Pride in herself and love for that beautiful young woman is her and Fan Bin's crystallization of love. This expression from her mother do not passed Fan Xiaodan's line of sight and once again, she tried hard to control her emotion and smiled as well. Sensing someone is observing her, Fan Xiaodan looked over only to see their grandpa looking at her older sister. Maybe she's being too sensitive because of her unstable emotion.
Before anyone from the Fan could introduce Fan Xifeng to the Han couple, Su Meixi already strode to approached her! So fast her eagerness and excitement is too obvious!
